A tip for if/when you do practice runs before your solo flawless attempt(s). When you complete the sparrow section, you can cross back to the "course" (I used thundercrash to get there, but sword skating would work as well) with no adds and no time restrictions. I went through the entire course looking for timer extenders and found a few I didn't know about. Then I took my time working through each section finding the smoothest path for me. That section is so much less frustrating now.

Another load out option I’d recommend is a Stasis turret build with the new stasis elemental well mods that are available this season. I used double special throughout the entire dungeon. Agers Scepter, Cartesian(vorpal), and Reeds regret (because I use the stasis elemental well mod for increased damage). This build has ridiculous cc, healing when using the stasis shard aspect, and self damage buffs that bring reeds regret pretty close to sleeper damage levels. Also the stasis turret keeping bosses frozen let’s you stun lock them when you shatter them during dps.

@@JustGaming24 For my exotic, I use eye of another world for increased cooldown on my abilities even when I’m at 100 stat points because it boost it past that. Not super necessary because you get free energy throughout the boss fights because of how the debuff works but still nice to have. As for mods I run elemental shards, elemental armaments, and two elemental time dilation mods, as well as particle deconstruction. I use the bleak watcher and glacial harvest aspects. For fragments I run whisper of time, whisper of chains, whisper of conduction, and whisper of durance. The shards you make by freezing enemies will give you chunks of health if you’re damaged or over shield if you’re at full health, while simultaneously giving you a big damage bonus to weapons of the same element. So agers scepter will crowd control while also buffing it’s own damage. Using the stasis turret right when damage phase starts guarantees you get shards on the boss if you’re close enough to for the shards to track to you. I do my damage phase right on the crystal for ogre, for final boss I go behind where he teleports and stands for damage phase. The one thing I might swap out is the exotic armor. Mantle of battle harmony would be super effective in almost every situation and give yourself another way to buff your damage. The only downside of this build is that glacial harvest has a cooldown after you generate a certain number of shards. That’s why elemental armaments is great, while you’re not getting shards these will continue to drop, if you run mantle of battle harmony you can keep a damage buff up almost 100% of the time.

As somebody trying to just solo a dungeon for the first time (lol at me trying to flawless rn) I've found success in just getting to a check point each day, so you can take it in steps rather than trying to just sit down for hours at a time and getting frustrated. That way you can come back over the course of a week every day or so and just inch your way through it; saved my controller from getting smashed on more than one occasion and didn't make me feel as if I was wasting an entire day getting increasingly-frustrated at the trickier bits/dumb jump mess-ups.

Something to throw out there if you're going for hunter camo: If you use graviton forfeit with 100 strength you get free infinite invis. Just don't shoot until the camo is done, and as soon as it runs out, you'll have another smoke ready to go. This only works with bottom tree smoke invis, but it's pretty powerful. I combine it with a void elemental well build and protective light to add a little bit more survivability.
If you're against void on hunter, stasis is the way to go imo. There are some pretty cracked add clear builds out there, check some of them out on TH-cam.

I was also using protective light, so if I was ever in a situation where I needed DR, I already had some from that anyway.

If you’re running well, it’s super easy to throw one down in the middle during the last boss when banking motes. Then, while banking, you can burn down the shank, leaving the rest of the room to be mostly safe. The vandal can still hurt, but it spends most of its time hanging out on sides, trying to steal exotic engrams. Using supers and grenades as often as possible in the final boss makes it a lot simpler.

When I did my flawless run for this dungeon it took me 4 hours due to failing a few runs. But the flawless run itself came out to I think 2 hours and 30+ mins. I have done every solo flawless dungeon/solo shattered throne and I can confidently say, Grasp of Avarice is the easiest. The weapons I used was Fatebringer, Cartesian and Lament. I did not switch any of them off the entire run. As for mods, I did not use any sword mods except for ammo finders, scavengers and reserves. From my experience, I was still dealing more damage with a Lament with no sword mods compared to a linear fusion rifle with particle deconstruction. Not to mention, Lament heals you while attacking the bosses which is way safer then I originally thought. I was a bubble Titan mainly using bubble to protect myself from death more so than to gain weapons of light. I feel this dungeon is pretty straight forward and the biggest advice I could give is to 100% abuse your super if you need to. Picking up 10 engrams gives you full super and ability regeneration, so there’s no need to hold on to your super and die with it. As for the final boss, because I was using Lament the entire time, I took down the two yellow bars (Shank and Vandal) using the scorch cannon. Sticking the yellow bars and holding the shot until it charges up to max damage deals 40+K allowing you to take down both with two scorch cannons. (One for each.) Remember, there’s no time limit for any encounter so just take your time. If it takes you 15-20 mins to kill the yellow bars, that’s fine.

A tip someone gave me for the sparrow part when I did my first run is to somewhat follow the stream of water. As long as you're following the path there are very few points where enemies can hit you, so it's best to follow it while you can if you find yourself getting killed by the fallen often, especially for the first part up to bomb A. It's also a good idea to do if you can't memorize where all the triggers are to extend the timers as it's a generally straighter path.

HUNTERS TIP: If you want invis and also stasis, use Assassin's Cowl to get invis on shuriken kills. The Grim Harvest aspect will give you stasis shards for those shuriken kills which will then recharge your shuriken, completing the circle. You get invis and stasis, neat.

The elite strats for green sparrows that also work for legendary sparrows to make the encounter faster and easier is as follows (Myelin Games did a competition on his Twitch, where we found out these strats): on top of having double arc resist and Riskrunner, blinding nades work as well. As for when you’re driving, release the boost button and press it again right before going off a small jump. That will use some of your boost but launch you forward really fast. While in the air, do a trick (d-pad on controller and whatever you bound that to on pc) and make sure you land flat. That will give you some boost back, as well as keeping your speed higher than normal for a little while when you hit the ground. Practicing this and doing it consistently will make it so none of the enemies will blow your sparrow up, you won’t die from enemies, and you go fast enough to comfortably reach each mine.

For the boss room, you can freeze the mini bosses and beat the hell out of them with Lament immediately to be rid of them and move faster through it. Also, having one cloak with your sword perks and another with particle for if you have to utilize distance on the mini bosses can be useful, for a quick hide and swap in the back of the room.

Also I used "Quick Charge" for 5 energy (arc) during the two boss fights. There are areas where you can savely camp and wait for adds, to quickly kill them with your Fusion Rifle (in my case) to then go out again with 4 stacks of Protective Light.
Blinding-Granades in the Sparrow Race was a game changer for me. Got sniped every time, but blinding granades helped right before the checkpoints. You can reload in less-crowded areas of the race. I feel it is more important to "loose" 2 seconds for reloading than to die to the checkpoint Fallen. A good blinding-primary drops from the xur event "dares of eternity" right now. Just get one from there!
    Good guide Fallout, thanks alot!

I haven't solo flawlessed quite yet but I do have a stupid tip if you're running bottom tree nova. When using your super, remember that the bomb does a fair chunk of damage to *yourself* if you're in close range. So, if you panic bomb, try to turn the camera so it goes above the enemies you're aiming at (if they're in point blank range) so it goes over them but still kills at least one guy to trigger devour. I've ruined several flawless attempts because I trusted devour too much.

Just clenched my solo flawless run last night as a well warlock using The Stag and protective light. 95% of my run was Extraordinary Rendition, a Slideshot/Reservoir Burst Glacioclasm, and Sleeper Simulant. Swapped to a kinetic scout once or twice to clear a couple bads at the longest possible range, and used an Autoloading Holster/Blinding Orewing's Maul for the sparrow section. A HUGE recommendation for the sparrow section is to use a sparrow with the "shorter cooldown between summonings" perk and ALWAYS jump off before it explodes. If your sparrow blows up, there's a cooldown before it can be resummoned, but if you jump off early you can get another one right away.

The sparrow encounter alone makes me not want to solo Flawless this. I don't have Always on Time, but I got the route down perfectly. 20 runs on a row I made it to the Cannons and 20 runs in a row they didn't launch me far enough. This is what I did for my solo flawless (first dungeon ever successfully completing a sf!):
I main Warlock, so that's what I was most comfortable with.
    - Opening:
Well w/ Transversive Steps (swapped to top tree solar once I got to the traps area for Icarus Dash shenanigans), Arbalest (for Wizards, Knights, and Shriekers), Ikelos SMG (I also used Global Reach, for the lulz), Hero of Ages (utilizing Passive Guard). I'm used to consuming my grenade to skip most of the doors on the area with the water (it's my job when I'm with my clan lol) so I was comf doing the same here.
    - Ogre:
Well w/ Stag, Eyasluna, Null Composure, Sleeper Simulant (using PD, of course)
After opening the garage on each side, I'd drop well before gathering the engrams. So after each damage phase, I'd just sit behind the box in front of where the Fallen spawn and waited five minutes for my well to come back lol.
    - Sparrow Section:
I equipped my loadout for the second encounter before doing this, and threw my charged grenade before hopping on my Sparrow. Admittedly, I used Always on Time, but as long as you know which extenders you need and which ones to skip you'll be fine.
    - Fallen Shield:
Well w/ Traversives, Pardon Our Dust (blinding), Riskrunner, Hero of Ages (w/ Passive Guard)
    - Boss:
Well w/ Stag, Fatebringer (Timelost, for 'splosions), Null Composer, Sleeper Simulant (w/ PD.... duh)
I ended up wiping the first time I tried soloing the dungeon because I tried blowing up the shank with the boom stick (sniped to kingdom come), so this time I found it way quicker to melt it with Sleeper (usually only took five-six shots). Then I'd farm the left and right ads until I was full on heavy again without picking up the scorch cannon (it doesn't disappear and respawn if you don't pick it up, very handy tidbit of info I discovered accidentally). I went slow, grabbing ten at a time and popping well in the middle to deposit (used rift the 6th time w/ healing grenade at the ready to ensure well for damage). I did damage from the back platform, putting the well's sword behind the cylinder on the left. Also, I ONLY grabbed engrams from the left and right sides. I really only dipped down into middle of I couldn't grab 10 (if one or two fell in the water), and I'd survive by throwing my healing grenade for the overshield.
Hope this helps anyone else trying to attempt it!

Here's my personal recommendation for warlock - a concoction I've used for many legend and master lost sectors
Bottom tree solar Warlock (constant healing and longest super in the game if you do it right) with mantle of battle harmony. Hells charge your super and when super is charged seriously buffs your damage.
Also, heavy linear fusion rifle with ammo finder (I like my reed's regret)
Something that will help you a TON on this build:
Killing something on fire makes it explode. If the explosion gets a kill, chain reaction.
This will kill any group of thralls, dregs, whatever with one charged melee or nade.

  • @yosh3058
    @yosh3058 2 ปีที่แล้ว

The sparrow part is 100% the make or break point for a run. For me, what worked best was taking it slow, hitting every extension. I had risk runner equiped, and if you're an invisible hunter, you can quickly hop on your sparrow after popping a smoke and it will keep you cloaked, so you can drive right by enemies. The last mine is the only one you really need to worry about. Practice hitting the boosts just right. Also when you get the first extension from C to D, be careful how you land. If you aren't paying attention, you can flip your sparrow or bounce a bit, loosing you a few seconds and probably the run.
Honestly after sparrow, the rest is easy if you take it slow. Just don't rush anything (I'm looking at you sword skaters, just use the cannons, it's safer), and you'll have it done in no time.
Oh and one last thing, in the boss room, in between damage phases when you're killing the shank and vandal in the middle, you can sit on top of the 'throne' in the back of the room and get a good angle on them without worrying about getting shot.
    Happy Hunting!

I'm a masochist and did all 4 dungeons solo-flawless in 3 days last week, all as a Warlock. Here's what I learned:
    - Devour is absolutely cracked for solo content. I used middle-tree solar for Grasp though, because a lot of DPS phases are standing still.
    - If you use Well of Radiance, Karnstein Armlets are nice to heal you if you don't want to waste a grenade, and Thrall die in one hit.
    - Exotic armor is up to preference. Ophidians are great quality of life gauntlets, but Starfire/Nothing Manacles can give you a second grenade charge for heals/devour
    - In literally any instance where you have to fight more than 3 trash enemies at once, Ager's Scepter is stupid good when paired with Devour; double special is totally viable here. Ager's CARRIED me through Pit and Prophecy.
    - Your chest armor mods will give you the bulk of your survivability, not your Resilience stat. Tailor those mods based on what keeps killing you. For Fallen, arc resist is a solid option and for Ogres void resist is top-tier.

In particular, these encounters are really easy if you run a close-range weapon with Unrelenting. Think Spoiler Alert (Sidearms), SMGs, and Crimson if you have an open Exotic slot.
If you color-coordinate your weapon element(s), the Precious Scars exotic on Titan will also really help you go the distance.
Assassin’s Cowl on Hunter is also really helpful, invis on all subclasses is nice and the Reactive Pulse mod makes you nigh invulnerable while finishing an enemy.
If you want to use Well like it’s Devour, equip Starfire Protocol. 2 charges of the fastest recharging healing grenade? Instant Rift recharges on a grenade kill? Rapid recharging by Empowered damage (melee buff or Empowered Rift)? Sign me the heck up.
Remember, since Finisher mods are “free,” stuff like Overshield Finisher (Void) and Healing Finisher (Solar) are incredibly valuable. I’ll also point again to Reactive Pulse to guarantee your survival. Likewise, Ager’s Scepter is absolutely incredible since you can stay in Will Given Form mode forever (if you finished the catalyst).
Warmind Cell builds are still good, especially with mods like Power of Rasputin and the one that gives damage resist. Equip the Seraph SAW, use a good Special(s) for DPS, and go to town on the adds while cackling maniacally. Lead From Gold Specials will compliment this well.

My solo flawless load out was top tree void hunter with double dodge invisible. My weapon load out for the first boss was fatebringer, null composer, and the lament with lucient blade and passive guard. Top tree tether and null make clearing each side of the boss room very easy. When it came to boss damage, I did 3 light, 1 heavy reved lament, then 3 normal hits, then back to reved hits. I found that I was still getting max rev damage without letting the sword fully recharge. 2 void resist chest mods and appropriate scavenger mods. Sparrow section, I used Always on Time, but a decent legendary sparrow should work well. 3rd encounter, I used riskrunner, a vortex frame sword, and a blinding grenade launcher. Final boss, I was back to the lament, fate bringer, and null composer. 2 arc resist mods helped me alot. When the encounter began, I shot my tether at the 2 crew members and spammed the lament on the shank. If I didn't manage to kill the shank, I hid behind where whilhelm was and plinked away at the shank with the lament. I found that reved attacks keep you on the shank if the shank is in the air. After I killed the shank, I focused on the invisible guy, and collected the 10 engrams he drops. After that I just collected the remaining engrams and went about the fight in a very safe way. With the lament and lucent blade, I was able to 3 phase the boss. I hope my strats/loadout is helpfull to anybody attempting to do this.

Next day booted up a “practice run” (I called it this to take pressure off I think) and got it done. Spent 45 mins on boss encounter and waited on super before going in after Ogre damage phase. No shame.
With the ability to get a super so easy, even a mid-tier player like me can do it.

I wasn't sure if I was going to before the end of the Season but after watching this I opted to give GoA a run at solo flawless. Only got Pit and Shattered Throne SF in the last couple weeks but I'd done Grasp a few times with a friend and felt confident enough to try.
Got it done on my 4th try! One fail was me greeding to try get more engrams in the Ogre encounter (knowing full well I didn't have the time) and two were just doing good ole Warlock jump blunders but based on my experience I would wholeheartedly agree this is the easiest dungeon to get solo flawless in.
There's no tips or loadout advice I could give that someone else probably hasn't already said so I'll just say this as a reminder: Take your time and try not to panic. Rushing or panicing about something is the easiest way to mess yourself up and cause a death.

My tip for the final boss encounter is to bring Jotunn and swap to it to kill the sniper shank. Since you can't crit him, Jotunn doesn't have any damage penalty against him, and if you're running a fusion in your energy slot you won't lose too much ammo swapping weapons. I used sleeper for boss DPS and swapped to a legendary linear when I put on Jotunn to kill the shank. You can clear out some dregs and stand behind the pillar in the back of the room so you don't get shot while swapping gear.

I mean I solo flawlessed this second try, just play as a warlock, stasis all the way through until the final boss. In the ogre encounter use stasis to clear the ads and pick up 9 and once your super ends pick up the last one and you’ll have your super for the next room. My first try ended here because I forgot about my timer… I would say in the sparrow part, use risk runner and double arc resist for maximum resistance against the ads. If the sparrow goes on fire, jump off and re summon. In the launcher part just play safe and collect engrams. The final boss use well of radiance and use the scorch cannon to kill the shank to not waste linear fusion ammo. Don’t be afraid if it takes ages to complete. It took me about two hours to complete the whole thing.

This is in my opinion the best load out you can use if you’re on a warlock and want to play it safe. I ran middle tree solar aka well of radiance.
Armor: Make sure your armor is first of all maxed out and having artifice armor helps out a ton.
Chest piece: phoenix protocol; make sure its of the void element damage resistant. Here’s why, the ogre on the first encounter shoots void so run double void damage resistance. High energy fire helps out as well; but I’ll say why later on. Use linear fusion rifle targeting if you have it; recommended if you have the mod from the seasonal artifact.
Now if you have any other void damage resistant armor i also do recommend you run protective light if you have it or extra reserves, either or, but in my opinion protective light is better.
Mods: Protective Light, Extra Reserves, Well Mods, High Energy Fire, and Linear Fusion Rifle Targeting.
Weapons: Fatebringer with explosive payload and firefly helps out a lot.
Cartesian Coordinate matches the solar subclass to spawn elemental wells that grant charged with light as well as it procs during damage phase for Sleeper Simulant/Threaded Needle/1k (if you have it).
Sleeper Simulant is a lot better with its catalyst. But if you have it still use it. You can still 2-3 phase it. Sometimes i 2 phased him or 3 phased him.
But yea thats my load out for practically every encounter.
Btw for an easy route for the sparrow part is:
Keep to the right the whole part, get past A, drive on the left there’s a mine on the wing before B, past B drive on the left you’ll be fine for C, since its a free button. Now heres how i do it. After you hit C drive to the right there’s a mine on the wing or rumble; like a ramp then go to the top booster, there is also a mine within the eye of the skull.
