I love your podcasts, great way to pass the time while grinding a Pokemon game
As of right now, no one's got Taco Bell beat with their $5 bell box for breakfast that comes with a drink comes with dessert. Comes with a hash brown and that quesadilla is fire. I pay a little bit more $0.70 more just because I like the steak instead of the bacon and makes a world of difference. But that's a lot of food for under $6 that you're getting, including the drink and dessert. That's my almost daily breakfast that no one has been able to be. Not even mom and pop shops. Not McDonald's not Burger King. Nobody At least not here in Florida in Palm Beach

I don't use the apps or qr codes. I barely even use my phone, unless for an emergency or to listen to music. lol All this qr code and app bullshit doesn't appeal to me at all, if anything, it gives me a headache and seems more complicated than just making something a certain price and being done with it.

Everything is. Coupled with $15/hr+ jobs, including benefits and skyrocketing inflation. You have a recipe for escalating prices and, unfortunately, reduced quality.

I do believe some others are correct in saying that if you ordered it on the app it would be $5. Also the comment on the chicken being overdone . I believe it was not overdone. It was that the oil was old and needed changed. That’s why you had the off taste. Thanks for the reviews.

Thank you so much for reviewing this! I’ve found this sandwich is almost always burnt as you described but much worse. McD’s needs to tweak this sandwich so it’s never burnt.

In McDonald's defense, the app has a coupon that lowers the price tag to the 5$ price point
In employees and consumer defense, the app sucks. It lags tills, slows the process down, and makes everything painful, even if there was an online coupon that lowers it, you shouldn't use the app. It just hurts everyone involved.

@@vladkakouski2640 I do not understand that, as I use the app frequently, and have worked at McDonald's while we received app orders (Most with coupons). 99% of the time the app speeds up the whole process, because we don't have to ring up their order, they ring it up themselves, and payment is completed automatically.
From the customer prospective, using the app speeds things up too, if there's ever a line inside McDonald's, you immediately get queued up when you arrive, rather than needing to get in the back of the line. The only time it's less useful is in the drive thru, because you still have to communicate that you're there to an employee rather than wait for them to call your name inside (or bringing it to your car)

The chicken could also be like that because they haven’t changed the oil in the fryers in awhile. I know from experience when we cook fry’s for example and haven’t changed the oil in awhile it’s darker and once we change the oil it’s very yellow and looks very good and normal. Chicken definitely not a good colour though
They want you to think it is $5, but you actually pay $8. Marketers get so upset on the rare occasion when they tell the truth, and nobody believes them.

Glad the Sprite was fine. On more than one occasion, at different establishments, I have had some seriously bad Sprite.
McDonald's Sprite is GOATed though
sometimes it's hard to know when the machine runs out of syrup for clear soft drinks. it looks the same whether or not it has the correct amount of syrup. much different for a dark beverage like a cola, you can visually tell easily if it's correct.

I like using the McDonalds app. For there can be other location specific deals and discounts, that other locations do not have. Like there is a $5 for 2 Filet-o-Fish, at the store I use. Where it's normally $4.99 for 1. You can also earn points for freebies. You can also customize and review what's in your 'cart' before ordering it. It's also useful for when your store has a bad mic and speaker setup at the drive through.

The best $5 food, that's actually $8, is the most accurate representation of inflation.
A very honest review. Totally agree with the your opinion on the sandwich. McDonald's and their customers should stick with hamburgers which are usually OK especially the Quarter Pounders when prepared fresh. If one has the McDonald's App, you can sometimes get very good deals on the Big Macs and Quarter Pounders.

I had the crispy chicken sandwich yesterday lol with a big mac, large fries and large coke for less than $8 cause they have a 50% deal off on all items purchase through the app and well when it comes to the crispy chicken sandwich I have to say its very plain with just some pickles the chicken tasted good but I had to add mayo for sure. The Fries where good as usual, soda well tasted good got coke and the big mac was alright but the size of the burger patty looks alot thinner than it used to be.

The McDonald’s app is awesome. I get the $1 breakfast sandwich sometimes which is a good deal considering the McGriddle is $3.99
Last time I got a supposedly, crispy chicken sandwich at Mc D's it was soggy, most likely cause it was in the foil lined bag to long. Was disappointed, but still like their regular chicken, with just mayo and lettuce.

i haven’t eaten mcdonald’s in 20 years, and i absolutely refuse to ever put it in my mouth ever again. but if memory serves me correctly, i remember buying a mcchicken sandwich for $1, a large fry for $1 and a drink for $1. more or less. i understand this was 20 years ago, but that was a $3 meal back then, and now the chicken sandwich looks even worse

Love your content! A bit of clarification on the "meal deals" offered exclusively thru the McDonald's app. At checkout, the fries, sandwich and drink would have been discounted to meet the $5 + tax price. The meal deal can only be used X1 daily
If you order that combo without the app, you're paying full price. Just a bit if advise from a fan and regular user of the McDonald's app.
