What I took from this was that Riff gets so much joy from me asking people happy on and off camera, Caleb's perspective is understandable but he comes off as a guy set in his ways, an old man in a young man's body, Riff seems grateful! For every opportunity to brighten someone's day, be it a close friend or a total stranger, there's a number of Caleb's videos where his happiness is all that matters and no one else's, truthfully I admire how riff always looks at the bright side of everything I would love to see one episode that gets everyone together, Rick, Mikey, gabbo, NES complex, everyone that's been either in or involved with the crew

This is hilarious and I can relate to both of yall. Sometimes I'm talking non-stop and super hyper and then as soon as my energy is gone I need to decompress and have some quiet time. I think it's an overstimulation thing and when it hits it's just too much. I'll relax for like 10 - 15 minutes and i'll just have headphones in or whatever and then after that I'm usually good to go.
Aaron, you do talk too much. I actually don't think Ricky is a quiet guy I just think you talk too much and steal the energy away from Ricky. Please don't take this comment as negative because you do a great job with your videos, but I think if you talked just a LITTLE bit less I think that would give Ricky more room to talk a bit more. Personally I’m with Caleb on this and I would’ve been a lot more gentle and upfront about it instead of letting it bubble over. But then again Riff is full of zeal and knows he’s abundantly blessed and his light shines. To answer the question about Riff and his energy, it’s a God given ability. To have incredible motivation and energy and then to be able to sleep on command is a blessing. He’s just a happy dude.
About the 90's being the best gaming era - I'd say it's objectively subjective. People like all manner of different things and you'll find every kind of gamer out there. The fact that there are so many indie titles inspired from older games and younger audiences are enjoying them shows that they do have stay and relevance more than what people might make it out to be, and sometimes that can lead to them viewing those older eras of gaming with a new set of eyes and finding something to appreciate. I agree 100000% with Riff on Tears of the Kingdom feeling like BOTW DLC. Zero excitement for TOTK from me. Such a letdown. Caleb was absolutely wrong for that take. Riff was spot on.
Lastly: Caleb seems to have some stuff he learned as a child from who id assume would be his father. My speculation is Caleb’s dad was probably very strict and assertive but also very loving. Caleb learned from a young age to just be straight up with people rather than to be a yes man. These people tend to be very successful but receive a lot of blowback because people like him don’t sugarcoat anything. Which could be very abrasive to much more sensitive and compassionate people like me. The 16 bit wars was the best time to be alive in gaming and the games still stand up today! Super Mario world, street fighter 2 turbo on the snes super castlevania, pilot Wings the list goes on and on Megadrive Revenge of shinobi and Golden axe streets of rage there are so many great games in this era it's ridiculous in the UK we loved the Amiga aswell! Modern games don't come close! I'm 44 this year and have been gaming since around 1984 till today and still love gaming its a massive part of my life but retro games all the way there just better 💯. No innovation with most modern games. Just rehashing IP and design ideas from the 80s and 90s (and 00s too). Losing Sega really hurt the industry since they took the most risk, even though Nintendo still tries (wii, 3ds). Modern games did bring in microtransactions and added crypto gaming and VR, so there is some innovation, just nothing that gets me excited personally
I think Riff's view of life has a lot to do with it, stemming from his faith/religious views. Thoughts create energy and that affects one's state of being, it's a cycle reinforced by thoughts, and in Riff's case, positive thoughts.

I would say gaming was better in the 90s. Sure new games might look better or have "real" music soundtracks but the gaming experience has suffered from bloat, live service, technical issues, overly complex controls and mostly piss poor storytelling.

I would say gaming was better in the 90s. Sure new games might look better or have "real" music soundtracks but the gaming experience has suffered from bloat, live service, technical issues, overly complex controls and mostly piss poor storytelling.

I really like Caleb's, but he is SOOOOOOOO Wrong. So he his trying to prove a point that new games are better than old games and brings up FINAL FANTASY 7 REMAKE... REMAKE... Read again... REMAKE... Caleb, the the old games are better, and that's why the market is full of remakes and remasters... Game developers now have like 0 imagination...
