I want to thank you for all of the work you did. People don't realize this is a SERIOUS amount of time and effort it's actually ridiculous. I'm looking for a product now as I just had my windscreen replaced due to a rock hit so perfect time to do it now. My last product I tried it had judder with the wipers I actually thought I did something wrong and it's not for wipers to go over hahaha now repairs that's actually a thing in the stats you covered. I need easy of use no judder and goo lasting ...so it seems like the quick view will be the one for me that is available locally in Sydney. Thank you so so much again. SUBBED due to the extreme effort you put in.
I’ve only used RainX (which I hated and ended up with a rainbow windscreen) and H2GO. The latter being absolutely brilliant, so pleased to see it win! Great test. 👍🏼
Thought I'd watch this one to look for a potential upgrade from H2go since I need some more Glass sealant. I can't decide if im disappointed by the result because i don't get to try something new, or pleased i have a good eye for products. Good comparison videos Jon, always return for my product purchases
🤣🤣🤣 I'm on the same boat I almost running out if h2go ,I'm actually going to go for the glaco but the ultra model which isnt on this test however I've seen it in John's other video , I like how it hazes alot lighter so when buffing g you can see where you have missed and glaco done well in this test too so durability and hydro shpuld be up there too like the h2go
That's a proper test, the amount of work is incredible, cheers Jon. Given the weather the Scottish have, I'm not surprised that the 2 leading companies are both from there 😂😂. I've got several IW products and they're all good, sonagain, not surprised that they're at the top end. All the best Jon. 👍
Awesome job here, and a tremendous amount of work. great job as always on the valuable consumer information for us punters at home. I was looking for my next winter glass sealant as my rainx is running out. I'll be looking at the anglewax (trigger spary is a negative for me on these products), gyeon and the soft 99 glaco.
Diamond Protech Glass Coating has been on both of my vehicles for 10 months now and still holding up on the windshield. From the harsh winter to the brutal sun i am very much pleased that it is still going strong.
I installed Gyeon Quick View last weekend and must say it is amazing so far. Very easy to install and works great. As for the amount of wiper wipes, I rarely use my wipers LOL. The waiter just blows off unless you are going less than 45 MPH
Great work Jon. This is what we want to see with proper testing. I’d have been interested to see where the Ultra Glaco that I opted for would have landed in that test but the main thing is I’m happy with what I have for now & this gives many options for the future. I use the Angelwax Elixir on my tyres & it’s very good so not surprised their product rated highly
Infinity diamond glass is my go to product, as it’s good value for money I reapply after every wash to keep the beading high. Great video though to see other products.
I have Flyby Forte on pan roof and I buffed it! It does cause some judder on my Audi windscreen but it is lasting well. It is a shame it didn't get into the test. For the effort involved, I think Gyeon Quick View is the easiest to apply.
I have noticed that with some of the glass coatings. If they are on the less slick side they can judder a little. I’ve made the mistake of putting paint coatings that are grabby on the windshield (personal vehicle to test) and my lord the judder was crazy. Had to apply a slick topper to let them slide until I could buff it off.
Great video. Really detailed (pun intended). I got myself glaco dx a year ago. It was my first glass sealant ever. (And yeah i used your video for clear instructions). And i gotta say, it's super convenient for me. All in one. No need to worry about overspray, cures super fast.
Glaco is hands down the best thing I put on my windshield in years... hardly ever use the wipers ever since. One application lasts for at least 4 months
The Infinity Wax may not last as long as some but it’s so quick to apply that you can just stick another coat on regularly to keep optimum performance.
Very informative testing procedure. I have only used Rainex in the past and it worked but was difficult to remove if I remember. I have used H2GO extensively as Angelwax are about 5 mins along the road from me and it is my product of choice for winter protection. I currently use Autofinesse glass cleaner as it has an element of hydrophobicty built into it and Mitchell & King glass cleaner, polish and glass treatment if it is my own cars.
Great scientific testing and superb video! I currently use Glaco DX and I'm happy with it. I had wiper judders with previous versions of Glaco but not with the DX.
I've always used and been very impressed with Rain-X. It's EXTREMELY hydrophobic and in my experience very durable. I just HATE the application (probably in part due to the particular way I do it, but that's how I've found the most success.) For the best performance of ANYTHING regardless of the instructions, I ALWAYS polish the glass before application and make sure it's bare and flat. If the glass is in pretty good condition (many times will already be a bit hydrophobic), then a regular compounding with a cutting pad will do. If it's rough though (both figuratively or literally) and/or has water impressions on it, then I go for the ceriglass and the glass WILL BE perfectly prepped. Then I do the application process and even the crappiest product will make it bead and last. Would love to try the Angelwax, Glaco (FUSSO is my fave wax ever), and the Infinity Wax (it's near impossible to get a lot of the UK stuff where I live, so I'll have to check). Interesting vid, doubt even the "bad" performers in the haze/sharpness tests would be able to be noticed by someone who didn't know what was on the glass.
Great test as usual. The only thing i think you have to consider is during winter driving when the windsceen is being hit with dirt, grit and road salt, which must have an effect on durability.
I have H2Go. I stopped using it due wiper judder. Recently Dave of Epic did a video saying to also treat the blades with the repellant as it helps with judder. Knowing I already have a winning product on the shelf, I'll try this next time I wash the car as I do love the safety benefits of a repellant.
Good video Jon i listened to the guys review this on stage at Waxstock it was great to listen to them talk about the testing and results i have used rain x as my first sealant and glaco has been my go to product for a couple of years i also have H2Go but have not used it yet but its been on my shelf a while so i must give it a go at my next wash.
Can you do an anti fog test Jon, we struggled recently racing at Oulton park in the wet, rainX anti fog was applied but probably don’t help when your sweating wearing damp overalls and no heater matrix in a saloon car
Great video John! I have used a few of these products that are available here in Canada. I have G1 on three different windshields at the moment, with no juder at all, but the beads don't fly as fast as they should but almost no haze after the wiper travels over it. H2Go is a great product and beads very well, last about 6 months plus, easier to apply but has a little bit of haze after wiper travel and performs similar to G5 (I have application issues with G5). CarPro has not been a winner for me either. Gyeon Glass plus cleaner provides very easy use and great beading but produces more haze with wiper travel. I don't like wiper travel haze so G1 is my perferred product but H2Go is right up there for me but my favorite detail site doesn't carry Angel Wax products so I haven't picked up a new bottle.
Another very informative video Jon. Are there any that don't haze on wiper travel, this is the one thing that stops me using glass sealants on my windscreen.
I bought a CarPro just the other day, and it has been a huge disappointment for me, especially considering the price tag. I doubt it is a bad batch, it just seems to be a bad product overall. Thank you for the great test, a job well done!
Hi, I bought the Glaco a year ago after your extensive review. I obeyed the instructions faithfully. It was absolutely terrible. I couldn’t wait to get it off. It was a streaky nightmare.
I got the same result even after using the other soft 99 product to remove contaminants to give it the best application. Just didn’t work. The wing mirror soft 99 on the other hand is amazing. Shame you can’t use it on windows (not tried tbh)
you might be doing something wrong mate its very hard to say without being there but you will also see people in the comments say they had a bad time with even the winner.
Hey brother. Applied on my E46 320D a year ago, I applied the cleaner and dry-wiped it off and applied. No streaking and still to this day performing. Crazy result for me. The Soft99 coat itself too for paintwork is mad. Applied it then at same time and only now it's starting to give. Sorry to hear your results weren't all that!
@@paranoidcobra7731 thank you. I have taught myself to be a proficient detailed over many years and I’m successful with very high standards. (Just for my cars). This is my first product failure ever. Too expensive to throw away, and too risky to use it. Thanks for the reply.
Wondering whether it could be due to incomplete removal. (i.e, the failure to buff thoroughly, to a streak free finish). It can take considerable time & effort to buff some products off completely. It is also tricky to see the streaks too.
I've been using RainX screen wash. So I'm re-applying every time I use the screen washer, seems to work fine, tho I do need to clean the blades slightly more regularly
Fantastic video and vastness of information as ever :) Ive always found any glass sealant/coating (That i've used) leaves hazing, and more often than not, judder....very annoying and a lot of faffing around and i'd rather just keep my screen and wipers clean.
Thanks - very informative and interesting. I'd be interested in an investigation of whether machine buffing could speed up the buffing/removal process, for products that are finicky to buff off. Glad to see I've been using the winning product for quite some time. 🕺
Great video as always, just 1 question, Why the soft99 DX and not the Ultra? If you shop around you can get the Ultra for the same if not cheaper price and as your findings reveal the DX was let down by durability, the Ultra lasts way way longer (3 times on manufacturers claims)
@@ForensicDetailing Sorry to jump the gun. Just love the Ultra and the performance it gives you especially when you accidently double layer it due to being distracted!
Nice test, thank you. As said, very informative. I'd liked to have seen a comparison of a windscreen mock-up of driving into headlights at night (or sun during the day). From personal experience years ago I found RainX was distracting like slightly greasy spectacles. But I found (the never mentioned) A-Glaze Crystal Vision product far better (though harder to apply properly). I'll try the Soft99 next. I guess the 'Haze' / 'Sharpness' results are the closest things for me to look at - thought I have no idea what the numbers mean in real day-to-day or night-to-night :) For me, optical quality is far more important than whether it lasts 3 months or 4 months. The video snippets for wiper judder (aiming towards illuminated logo) showed some pretty unacceptable smearing I thought.
Question Jon. I’ve always been happy with H2GO but next time I apply I’m looking to prepare the windscreen more thoroughly by using a clay bar first then Auto Glym windscreen polish prior to applying the product. Would you recommend doing the same for optimal performance? If anyone is looking to using H2GO for the first time I would definitely recommend NOT using it in any sunlight, waiting 10-15 minutes before buffing off and applying a second layer. Running low of this product so was pleasing to see it top the boards. Great product!
Great test!!! I am always interested in glass sealants and coatings. Had great results with Aquapel, GTechniq and the most surprising because of how easy it was to use, XPel Fusion (although this is not available to the public). The one not on your list that is a sealant and super fast and easy to apply is Nextzett Glass Sealant. I can literally do my whole truck in 10 mins or less. Apply to the applicator (you get a ton for the price and a little bit goes a long way), let it haze, then buff off with a water dampened microfiber or glass towel. I get at least 4-6 months on the windshield and 12 months or more on the side windows. Not bad for a $30 bottle that can cover my truck windows at least 24 times over. I end up having so much I do my neighbors and families windows. Oh and my shower glass 😂
Mega test. Been using rainx and as a gyeon fan, looks like I'll be going to them next. Interestingly, if you take the cost out, and or ease of use, the results could be quite different. But I suppose this is an all round comparison rather than pure performance only.
Just bought some glass polish to take the rainx off. Great when plenty wet. Too annoying in light drizzle .. That few seconds waiting for the haze to clear spoils it IMO. Using it up on all the other glass. Its fine away from wipers.
Thank you John .. you are the best I have very bad experience with Flyby .. Twice I ordered it and both times got a bottle that is almost empty .. I think the shipper has nothing to do with it .. the quality of the bottle is rubbish and allows the liquid to spill and/or evaporate
Awesome review. Appreciate it loads. When you do get to test the Car Pro FlyBy Forte, please consider including the Nasiol GlasShield. Again awesome work!
Prefer better performance over the durability for glass, used a few of the 12 month + jobs and they started off well but the performance drops dramatically after 3-5 months making it pointless being there in my opinion. Might just try out Glaico next once current car-chem ultra finished (old batch needs using up, to much stuff on the shelf 😂)
Love your channel, can you do a video on how to correct the black trim on the top of car doors, as I have a Mercedes with black trim but it has chemical stain on it,
Im really suprised by nanolex ultra glass not beeing the winner in longevity. I did 2coats on my windscreen and after 5000km i was going to reapply because of edgeing from waterspotremover and had to take the flex vrg with rayonpad and glasspolish on speed 5 and high pressure to get it off. Also wish gyeon view was in the test. Like the other ceramic bottles in the test. But either way.....great work as always J👌🙌
What's the best way to clean Angelwax H2GO off a windscreen? My car had an intermittent fault, thought the bonnet was open, which stopped the wipers when the car wasn't moving. I thought RainX would help until I fixed the fault. Then decided to do some research and find something better. Based on this video and other reviews I went for Angelwax H2GO. I wish I hadn't. The windscreen is only a few weeks old. I followed the directions and applied the Angelwax. First thing I noticed was a haze as the wipers cleared the windscreen, which reduced visibility. I imagine it will be worse at night with oncoming headlights. Next problem is the judder from the wipers (also brand new). Lastly the wipers no longer clear dead flies and bird poo. Even trying to get it off with warm soap and water took a bit of doing. I didn't have these issues before applying Angelwax, so please, how do I clean it off?
would you say that the Ultra Glaco - 12 month would be superb if you included it on that list? Should have tested them with some chemicals, bet some of them would have failed on the first wipe using a degreaser...
Only seeing this now after making a purchase earlier of some Angelwax Vision (lovely glass cleaner) and some H2GO. I don't think I made a bad choice it seems but may have to give the Infinity Wax stuff a go at some point as never tried their products and their ceramic / sio2 products seem extremely interesting
Re the CarPro - the 15mL quantity is actually shipped in the 50mL bottle - it's normal for the bottle to look almost empty. (but yes, it should be a clear liquid)
The updated bottle we got had about 3 or 4 times the amount of product. The original bottle we think had about 5ml in it. Shame but these things happen I guess
I've used a few of these and let's say I'm surprised H2Go won! I use Ultra Glaco on clients cars but I'm likely going to switch back to G1. Shame about Carpro, and I also wonder what Gyeon Repel is like, anymore one....?
Hi John great video! Will pick myself up some Angelwax H2GO. While I’m there what do you recommend to maintain my Gyeon synchro ceramic coating, anything from the Gyeon range?
I think you short changed the Gtechniq a little on value. I have the same small bottle setup and did two complete cars and a windshield out of the kit. (A MINi, a Ford Maverick truck, and the windscreen of a Lincoln Navigator)
Bonjour de France. Qu'est ce que tu es fort ! Ils sont très scientifiques tes tests. C'est dommage que tu ne les fais pas en français ! Même s'il y a une traduction, ce n'est pas le même plaisir. Bravo! Et merci.

Applied Glaco Ultra for the first time today. Curing as I watch your review. Thanks for your great application videos, very educational.
Just watched the short you done on glass sealants then thought I’d check you had posted. Perfectly timed!
Although I use mainly Koch/Bilt Hamber stuff I'm also a big sucker for Soft99 products and Glaco line works great for me
Just as I was looking for a new glass sealant to start using!
Perfect timing Jon! Good stuff as always!
Love the reviews! Thanks for your hard work! Makes it easier for diyers to invest properly.
I bought the Glaco this afternoon and I saw your video tonight and i'm vert happy of my choice. I did not tried it yet but very hap0y :)

Hi Jon great video that I’ve been waiting for since you mentioned it, keep up the great educational content 👍🏻

Good work as allways! I missed Koch Chemie Nano Glass
Thank you very much for your efforts and informative videos.
Just bought some glass polish to take the rainx off.
Great when plenty wet.
Too annoying in light drizzle ..
That few seconds waiting for the haze to clear spoils it IMO.
Using it up on all the other glass.
Its fine away from wipers.
For Gtechniq G2 you are meant to coat the blades with G2 as well. Should avoid judder. I'll see how my application progresses ...
I think its a recomended step on their website but Im not sure if its on the instructions we had. But yer this tip can work with a few of them.
That Duxback looks really like one that was sold as Ombrello a few years ago - also sold to treat showers.
brilliant thorough review. well done👍
Thank you John .. you are the best
I have very bad experience with Flyby .. Twice I ordered it and both times got a bottle that is almost empty .. I think the shipper has nothing to do with it .. the quality of the bottle is rubbish and allows the liquid to spill and/or evaporate
that could be whats happening yes not air tight or something...
Thanks for the testing. What do you think is more likely to degrade these coatings: a bug remover spray or a clay bar with soap?
Ckay m8
@@ForensicDetailing that is great news as my car doubles as a bug catcher 6 months out of the year 😂
Love using Angelwax H2GO. Lasts a long time and works well! Would be curious to see how the Exodus glass coating compares.
Thanks for the great work. Why did you not include the autoglym and meguiar products?
i have just applied the Wax Is Dead product. After one week its too early to tell, but its perfect so far
Love your channel, can you do a video on how to correct the black trim on the top of car doors, as I have a Mercedes with black trim but it has chemical stain on it,
Great work Jon
Another great video. Wasted my time with some RainX from Costco and now i have been educated and will do a proper job lol
Great vid thanks Jon! I use H2Go and love it! Glad it won!! 👍
Great review, and going to go for the H2GO. You don't mention initial glass prep. BH Touchless followed by IPA, or their own Angelwax Vision?
Used h2go and now ultra Glaco. Be interested to see how you think the h2go would compare to the ultra.
i thought you would use the other glacko soft99 product in the black container because it stayed longer
@@ForensicDetailing ok. It's just that I thought you said the "new bottle was full". (maybe they sent you a 50mL bottle?)
I've used a few of these and let's say I'm surprised H2Go won!
I use Ultra Glaco on clients cars but I'm likely going to switch back to G1.
Shame about Carpro, and I also wonder what Gyeon Repel is like, anymore one....?
this is why i follow your channel
Nice review as always-thanks👍👌
Hi John great video! Will pick myself up some Angelwax H2GO. While I’m there what do you recommend to maintain my Gyeon synchro ceramic coating, anything from the Gyeon range?
Can coat Evo if your talking about for the paint.
Thanks for time and effort John great vid as per usual👏👏👏👏👏⭐⭐⭐⭐
please do a video on washer fluid like can we make our own with distilled water and a car wash.
Bravo! Et merci.
Merci Monsieur
You are the Project Farm of detailing. Well done. Could you apply GTechnic for durability and then add Angelwax over the top for hydrophobicity?
no mate you risk creating transparancy issues when you start cross layering stuff. too much film can create a opaqueness
@@ForensicDetailing thank you
