    Dude does an excellent job of understanding the "new to this" perspective that far too many people attempting to teach simply fail to grasp. High marks for sure.

    This series truly helped me make the switch from FL Studio, thank you so much for making it seem far less daunting than it always seemed to be.

      That’s exactly what I’m trying to decide between. I’ve been heavy on MPC’s since the 90’s and I’m making the switch to a DAW. I’m between FL and AL.

      You guys know you can own both, ableton is a better work flow, fl is easy to use.

    • @n3rdoutmedia
      @n3rdoutmedia ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@lo0nyt0onz I mean, of course we know we can own multiple applications. That’s the same as owning multiple keyboards, beat machines, and midi controllers. Doesn’t mean I want to throw a bunch of money at everything.

    • @superdonut

      @@lo0nyt0onz I do own both, I show no favoritism over either DAW and continue to use FL as well.

      @Donut I use ableton more but my first daw back in like 2003 was fruityloops downloaded off limewire with a keycrack. I have the intro version for fl. I kind of want to explore it again, it was so much fun making Beats with friends at 13 on it and recording vocals with a acid pro or Cool edit pro.

    Fantastic video from an awesome teacher! I'm a lifelong pianist, keyboard player, church organist, etc... but was always playing live, knew almost nothing about recording until a month ago. It took many months to research & buy the gear I thought I needed as I built a studio from scratch -- only making a few mistakes along the way, lol! Just got my first MAC & Ableton loaded up and thrilled I'm FINALLY able to start making music! And you are my Ableton teacher for sure - love your careful step by step method that does not assume a ton of prior knowledge (as so many other TH-camrs do!)
    P.S. This week your Launch Control XL vid from SIX years ago helped me push the button to buy it... I think it will greatly minimize having to use the mouse on all the tiny stuff on the display that I knew would both be very maddening and slow me down!

    Awesome explaining your videos to newbies. . All the others say they’re giving the basics and then go at hundred miles an hour and expect that you have previous knowledge of ableton, so being a complete waste of time but your videos are spot on mate. Easy to understand and you go step by step . Awesome …. One thing. You selected two clips and merged them together but how. .? At the 22 minute mark. . Been trying to do it for ten mins but can’t work out how you did it ?

    Would you consider doing a series like this focused on Garageband? I'm not a musician, and musical ability was always intimidating, impressive, and mysterious to me, but your manner of teaching has made me think I could ge somewhere with music. I've purchased a used iRig Keys 37, and I will go through your basic tutorials using that and Garageband. Of course, I nderstand if Ableton Live is your chosen DAW. Thanks for all your amazing work.

    I’m new to recording my music and I am having trouble, does anyone know of any solutions I can do when trying to loop drum tracks or my guitar recordings? It seems like when I press the duplicate button and try to arrange them in arrangement view I can never get the timing right and there’s some sort of pause or the second loop plays too early

    I have a question hopefully can you help me, or someone else here... I have a Keylab essential (Arturia) and with it come the Analog Lab V and Ableton Live. Is there some way I can use the keyboard or synths from the Analog Lab in Ableton Live? Becuz in Ableton I have a way differents sounds that those from Analog and in Analog a lot more that in Ableton. Thank you!!

    I have a question: In ableton, I want to map the function Duplicate, Copy, Paste ect. to my midi Controller. So that I can, when I pess a pad on my controller, copy the clip or Track I am on. I saw you can do this by using Max for Live somehow, but I dont get it at all. Do you have a way or can explain this?
