Who else immediately pulled their Bb tuba out only to find out the fingerings were different and then spent a half hour figuring it out because that song is amazing?
I'm a tuba and this is just ahhh I'm writing a tuba solo like this meaningful deep and gorgeous
My band teacher always used to say the Tuba was god's instrument
+gilroyblinker WOW I 've never thought about that but when you hear the sound of that instrument ..... it is SO TRUE I can see why he could say that
As a tuba player, I can totally understand why.
Brilliant. I'm learning to play the tuba and I can appreciate the merit of the player. The sound is clean and beautiful. Perfect.
I am a young tuba player and I've been playing for about a week and I have never heard a tuba sound that amazing and smooth
Hearing a well played tuba is as close to hearing the Divine speak everything into being,as one can get
I got to see an army band once.. it was so cool!!! they played thriller! :D :D
Excellent, Id say that the Tuba is the best instument in a group, but thats just the tuba player in me!
Thats it. I got to learn this.
This is the best tone I've ever heard. Well done.
Warmest Tuba I've heard yet.
Best tuba player ever. Where can I find that sheet music to that tuba solo for amazing grace.
One slight correction to the commentary on Amazing Grace. John Newton was an Englishman, who before conversion to Christianity and becoming a Church of England cleric, served in the Royal Navy and later as a captain of slave ships. After his conversion he became an abolitionist writing a pamphlet against the slave trade - "Thoughts Upon the Slave Trade".
Awesome Tuba player!!!
wonderful tone!!!
I wish I could find the sheet music to this and it actually sound good. I’d love to be able to play this song
Not gonna lie but I'm learning this song and none of the other tubas in our ensemble could play the high part so I have it..
superschönes Stück
@LateNightSnack1 It's also used to have a more in tune B natural with 2nd and 4th valve.
excellente
I love the tuba...but then I'm a tuba player
@LateNightSnack1 Other than the fact, it plays in tune a little better, especially when going into a lower register
@wilsonkm my friend owns a five valve CC and a 6 valve F tuba.
@LateNightSnack1 Changes pitch, usually to something in tune.
@Flamingdogsicle I dont mean to sound like a smart ass, but they can go up to six valves.
please, i need the score for windband!
@CASTAirsoft contrabass or bass tubas can have 4 lol some bass tubas have 5 or 6
lol, e flat tuba. gotta love it.
That's the only band thing about this video.
Do you have access to the score
240p :(
me
If my brother die play this song, even though he’s a gluttonous guy
i'm the tuba at my school and my band director said i am the best in the county
OK?
I was section leader at all 4 high schools I went to
