Unlike traditional foundation coatings like tar, DMX covers the entire foundation in a protective layer and directs moisture away from it. The dimples provide an air gap to allow the concrete to cure properly and allow the moisture in new concrete walls to wick away from the foundation. I’m building a house now. They just finished wrapping the DMX but did not do the garage area. Are they supposed to wrap around the garage too?

Garage walls do not need to be wrapped or sprayed as there is no living space under the garage.

@@sean4060 if the garage walls are below grade then they should have also been wrapped as water doesn't know the difference as to whether the other side of the wall is living space or a garage. Most of us store things in the garage that we care just as much about keeping dry as the stuff we put in our basements.
