  • Further, I go to South India, more closer I am getting to Sri Lanka physically. That also means nature, colors, food, and people remind me of Sri Lanka more and more. Being in Kerala was the pick of similarities - especially crazy buses. 😁

      @@kalvin7269 Your comment doesnt elaborate the fact that SL and TN are related. Chola rule of Sri Lanka only existed for a very brief time for even less than 100 years and for that hundred years they couldnt control southern Sri Lanka either. We have a dynastic history which starts in 600BCE with Vijaya who came from Bengal it existed until it fell to British in 1815 and it was for most of its history was ruled by a Sinhalese monarchy.
      We are very unique in every aspect our culture our religion our language and everything. Maybe there are very small relationships but most of the times its unique. 👍

    Flower worn over the ear is local symbol of being "crazy" / mentally ill. With bit of change in appearance and body language, you can look like normal local person which will help you blend in easy. No one will walk around with a flower garland around the neck. The camera itself will convey that you are a tourist. That is fine, it is a must have for a youTuber. Look like people there are quite familiar with tourists of various appearances. Myself a non-Hindu from Kerala that resides abroad knows which areas I am supposed to enter and up to which extent. People there understand you are not aware of local customs, they were not upset and guided you appropriately.

    Kerala's most favorite dishes you can try are:
    - Kerala Paratha with beef curry or chicken curry
    - Idiyappam (string hoppers) with egg currry or Aappam with egg curry,
    - Puttu with Kadala (chickpeaes) curry.
    - For lunch you should try sadhya - feast on banana leaf (you may not get it in all restaurants as it is generally served on special occasions but some restaurants will have it - especially the bigger ones)

    • @canyouflyican
      @canyouflyican ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@rahulrajkumar6498 Yes. Biriyani too. Although not a traditional Kerala food, Kerala Biriyani is different from that in other states. So must try . Thanks! That way, same for Masala Dosa and Vada as well . But must be had from some good restaurant rather than the small ones - nothing against small shops but they will differ in taste. Porotta and beef /chickencan be had from any shop - small or big

    One thing, I feel Sri Lanka is more cleaner and neat than Kerala.
    In addition to that,
    1. Sri lanka muslim people were coming form kerala.
    2. Ancient Sinhalese Kings married malayalam woman.
    3. Sri lankan buddhishm mix with hindu, because of malayalam hindu king wives.
    4. Sinhalese and malayalam kerala people had friendship , but with Sinhalese and tamilnadu , cholas had a war since 3rd century BC ,not had friendship at all even now.
