    OH WHOT I've only used Irene as sniper/guard trainer I didn't even realize that she cuts EVERY operator classes in half! En truly doesn't read lmao thank you!

    Based on the description, Irene can actually train people better, with more managing:
    - Start training M1 with normal trainer, until there would be 5 hours left if Irene performs the training, then switch Irene in.
    - Start the M2, having the time requirement reduced to 8. Basically does the same thing with M1 here, switch someone faster in and switch back to Irene when she would have work 5 hours until the end.
    - Start the M3, switch Irene out for a better trainer.
    The math is as follow:
    - Assume we train from M0 to M3, then we need 8 + 8 + 12 = 28 hours of training time.
    - Irene does 10 (real time) hours of work. This result in 10.5 hours of training time (or 13.5 for guard / sniper)
    - The remaining 17.5 hours of training time (14.5 for guard / sniper) can be trained using a better trainer.
    - Assuming we use the standard 30% skill trainer, then that will take 12.97 hours or 10.74 hours
    - Resulting in the total time of 22.97 hours or 20.74 hours.
    - If we have access to better trainer (50% / faster at M1/M2/M3) this time will be cut down even more
    Granted this requires a lot of management, so for most if not all of the situation, just use Irene only for M1 and M2, switch to someone else at M3.

      I feel like it's only kinda worth it to micromanage on m2 only for non guard / snipers, since it's 8 hours, so you can save a nice 3 hours. Still not super worth it but it's the only one that really makes any sense

    • @spenceryee
      @spenceryee ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You're not even saving 3 hours, since the other op speeds those 3 hours up rather than skipping them entirely. And since all ops get an additional 5% it's actually 2:45. A 60% base skill would reduce that to 1:40, and then you run the risk of messing up the switch and not getting the 50% cut on M3.

      Good thing everyone has the ability to set an alarm to warn them in advance,since you need at least a phone to use Arknights.

    • @spenceryee
      @spenceryee ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean yeah, you absolutely should not be doing this without an alarm. But people can still miscalculate, step away from their phone at the wrong time, become busy, or mess up some other way.

    • @NareshSinghOctagon
      @NareshSinghOctagon ปีที่แล้ว

      True,but the crazy people who will be able to pull this off will consistently achieve it with minimum issues.
      And it's something that isn't done as often,so it's easy enough to accomdate it.

    I love your contents they're so useful, i was watching your video about rosmontis synergy and i noticed it's old and i heard some new operators like ebenz and ling can be used in it, can you explain about new synergies too?

  • @ian59
    @ian59 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    I love learning about clever ways to utilize mechanics in this game but this specific mechanic is going to be unnecessary the majority of the time.
    Training time really isn't a very big concern for me since I can't possibly sustain the materials needed to train at the same amount of time it takes to train the operators. Therefore my training room sits idle constantly regardless of how efficiently I manage it.
    This will be useful on occasion if I decide to take an operator out of my base rotation to train their masteries. Like FEater who is my only shifter that is still SL7. Just to minimize the amount of time that they're being unproductive. Usually I just wait until they get power crept for base production and then do their skills since I have no urgent needs for skill masteries.

    If i do 4 hrs of m2 training with irene and 1 hr of m3 training with irene, do i get the time reduction for m3 after this?

    It takes only 19.2 hrs for 60% specific class training skill to upgrade from m0 to m3. So I need to do more calculations on how Irene can do better than specific class training skills.

    • @PeterYR
      @PeterYR  ปีที่แล้ว +11

      It seems like you're multiplying 48 hours by (1 - 0.6), but that's not how base skills work. By this logic, a hypothetical 100% boost would reduce the time required to 0, instead of half. You have to add to the fraction's denominator, instead of subtracting from the numerator. A 60% base skill will reduce the time needed from 48 hours to 29.1:
      48 / (1.05 + 0.6) = 29.1
      (Using any trainer will add a 5% speed boost in addition to any base skills.)

    This actually won't work for guards and snipers, as she'll reduce their M1 training time to below 5h.

    • @freelancecash5342
      @freelancecash5342 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      It does work to
      It will only reduce the training to 5h55min
      Still plenty of time for her skill to procc

    • @PeterYR
      @PeterYR  ปีที่แล้ว +8

      8 / (1.05 + 0.3) = 5.93, so training a guard/sniper's M1 will take Irene 5.93 hours.

      yea, saved sanity for very little effort. i don't have time or patience and want to build many operators i'm interested in as quickly as possible, i've saved months of waiting at this point by taking it semi seriously. but this video isn't base productions this is just speeding up some masteries.
