Grand version of my favorite❣️👌 Thanks SP💫Whoever is Donovan.. Song reminds me of style Woody Guthrie🌺 Humor! Cant do without🌞👌Thanks DearDylan🌻🌺🌹💫❣️👌🌞
If you look at other things Dylan about Donovan in those days, you may well think his dig at Donovan was a nasty dig. Certainly not 'light hearted and good spirited'.
@@tonyb83 Dylan admitted (and even published in his autobiography) that he lied to the press constantly. He was sick of their questions which were not helping anyone, least of all themselves, so he didn't take them seriously and gave bullshit answers to throw them off. He was and still is a very elusive and mysterious character. He has purposely constructed his image this way.
@@Michael69 Hi Michael, you'r right, he didn't like the press but I was refering to the, for want of a better word, 'nasty' things he said about Donavon in those days. Are you saying he said those 'nasty' things about Donovan because he didn't like the press?
@@tonyb83 I'm saying that what he said was most likely exaggerated, fabricated or just blown out of proportion by the press or whoever else published said things.
Yes, and in the event we might have assumed that a young Dylan was above the pettiness and uncertainty that befalls people at that tender age, well, he showed us that he was not. Quite a few times during that tour he took potshots at the easy going Donovan, someone who never said or did anything against Dylan.
My father showed me this song during the Covid lockdowns. He said walking the empty streets with our dog reminded him of hearing this for the first time. Genius song !
You're doing gods work sir, and a fine job you make of it too. This is my favourite period of dylan durring his existential poet/prophet and between his hobo folk protester of the people and the spindle electric hipster king that would set the music world all of a blaze, periods lol Keep it up
I was down in a sewer with some little lover when I peeked out from a manhole cover. I must have sung this line every day for the past 50 or more years. Thanks piglet this was just terrific. 🍺🍺👍👊🏻
Ta SP hope study is treating you well one of my favs when all us lost at least we have hope through song ✨ my fav saying today thank God for Bob's music 🌻 🌈
Classic, Story Telling, ..Bob Dylan Sings with such laughter and prose as he brings to life; a world of “A Dream , in World War lll” .. Pure Classic Bob Dylan Still true in this day.. 2020. 🎼🧡🎼🌟🎶🌟🎵🌟🎼🦋👏
I AM NOT CRAZY JUST CRAZY IN LOVE WITH YOU BOB I AM SCULPTOR BY PROFESSION CLASSICAL AND ATHEIST AN COMMUNIST THIS IS JUST MY WAY DO NOT LET ME BE STRAY YEAH
Love your videos, i have take 6 of Queen Jane approximately, and as far as i know it isn’t anywhere on TH-cam. I posted to on r/bobdylan a couple weeks ago but was curious if youd be interested in having it?
First time I heard this song in 1964 "maybe", wasn't Bob Dylan but the guy across the street played it on guitar and sang the whole thing to a few of us kids. We laughed our butts off. I was 6 or 7. I didn't hear it again until I was 17 on a Dylan tape. The guy that played it ended up getting a job with the CIA or some other dark intelligence agency, I heard. I never saw him again.
How could a young man of real intelligence and working class northern roots submit to the nonsense of the born and bred self styled intellectual. No puppet. No strings ect.
Whenever i get pissed off about what AI is doing (to music) i just think no matter how hard people like Elon Musk try, technology and computers will never come close to Dylan's brilliance. I think of that and start laughing. And by the way, Dylan a is a better guitar player than many give him credit for. This song is a perfect example of his guitar skills.
The person who disliked is half right part of the time.
Carlo Martini said that
Hilarious.

"Wondering who turned the lights on"... Only Dylan can speak of the atomic bomb in that way
I always like that he switched the line so it was "I took her by the heart and my hand was thumping" makes the line alot more memorable
very cool
I can think of even a more memorable word.
But truth is probly his hand WAS the
thumper, what with his frequent guitar playing ..
Yes!
"I'll let you be in my dream if I can be in yours, I said that." Still one of his most memorable lines.
He's been in my dream a LONG, LONG time.❤❤❤❤❤❤
"I lit a cigarette on a parking meter and walked on down the road
it was a normal day" :)
Thx SP
In my Caddillac good car to drive after the war
Bob brings such humor and compassion to the world 🌎 with every song 🎵
I remember another live version of this song where he says something like “I opened the closet and there was Donovan”
manchester i think

Here In 2022.. who's feeling this new age come to thee
Incredible. Thank you for sharing these. ❤️
Dylan’s a poet... he said that...
Great song
Only dylan can change the whole goddamn lyrics and still sound better than the record.
TYSM SP. "Who's right at this time about ...." (You know what )
Greatest song writer of all time. He's like the DaVinci of Music.
"Nurse, get your pad the boy's insane"
it is the challenge of an artist to remain humble.
Hey Man. It's been a long time since we've played guitar together.
Must be dylans own 'Only a Northern song"
Bobby is alright
The begin of the album's song is too much great ❤❤❤awesome solo
Hell yes. Tea time 3.oclock. I given my dreams. No never had a dream like of that. Oh no more dreams. No more damage. Thank you.
"Everybody sees themselves walkin' around with Nobody else. "
It was a normal day
I ll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours... I say that.❤🌹🎼
Immenso genio
So cool. Thanks for sharing these!
He should have said, "I think Harold Wilson said that." Crowd would have loved it.
Are you seriously teaching Bob Dylan what to sing? Some balls you have :/
So clever how he changes things
I’ll let you be in my dream, if I can be in yours…. Thanks, Swinging Pig.
One of his wittiest, cheekiest songs...
I prefer 'she said that for over an hour ' (rather than a couple of days )
This is so humorous, I had to take a break from laughing. 😅😎😍❤️💋♥️

*My TV program was interrupted by a special news report. Ukraine has been invaded. Everyone pray. Pray hard!*
Thanks so very much for posting! We need humor more than ever before with half of our population exhibiting sociopath Narcissist Personality Disorder!

I AM UNIQUE NOT LIKE ALL THE REST

you say you've troubled much but in this you are no such unique
The original rapper..think about it. He is talking over a beat lol
He shouldn't make fun of Donovan when he's pretending to be john cooper Clark.
Love Dylan but no need for the cheap shot at Donovan. Donovan was very obviously not a threat to Dylan lol
Giustizia per George Floyd...black lives matter
