I absolutely loved "A Complete Unknown"! It took me back to a much better time. The story was portrayed so well by these talented actors. It made me very sentimental for wonderful folk music. Nothing else like it! I'm 73 yrs young. 😅
I really enjoyed the Movie, "A Complete Unknown', I think they tried to capture the personality of the Bob Dylan and real people. But, it's hard to imagine what and who Bob Dylan really was. He was probably shy and introspective or maybe not. 🔊

He wrote so many songs, that he often said he " does not remember". They became old, as he wrote and performed the new ones. Note, he barely ever had any words/ notes/ pages in front of him. He constantly played and sang from memory.
I have listened to this a million times and will listen to it a million more - I could never get tired of these songs and these two. Bob and Joan were made to sing together :)
Dylan and Baez the greatest soul mates - It's the casual genius in both of them that makes this even more remarkable - It's a rendition that takes you down a different road - the guitar tugs at you and the vocals draw your mind into the place you want to be - home at peace. Then Bob goes rogue - LOL and Baez the soul mate she is doesn't even react. Exactly right - "A golden piece of History" I return to this often. It's healing.
I still watch and listen to this most nights ~ under headphones ~ about midnight walking with Harry ..my dog..He doesn't mind if I sing along quite loud ., ~ Jane

The day Bob passes will be a major heartbreak for me. I have followed his many paths and changes since I was 13 in 1963. In my not-so-humble opinion he is America's greatest poet.
Made me feel like I was there just set around singing and jamming with two of the greatest folk duo ever. I can’t get enough of bobs younger days , it takes me to a place a long time ago. 👍✌️

Many years ago when I took a singing/voice class at a junior college (well, now called community college), the teacher once told the class that "smoking can really ruin a singing voice, especially after many years of smoking" and advised our class to not smoke. Probably health reasons were mentioned too, but he was emphasizing the detrimental effects of smoking on the singing voice in this class.

I’m having a drink on my porch listening to this, and 2021 isn’t even an hour away. This is a good note to close on. It was the start of this year that my heart was punched, and a lot of this year was colored by that. It was that ache that led me to dig deep into the Dylan catalog, filling the hole with his words. Your work here was a part of that. I appreciate it a lot. 2020 is a year a lot of people will remember with a shiver in their bones, but fortunately for me, it was the year I got to know Dylan. That’s gonna last me the rest of my life.
Bob Dyaln always sounds just that bit nicer when he sings with Joan Baez❤. I think he tried harder, because he thought her voice was so beautiful. I've also never seen him so happy as when he sings with her--I've watched several of their duets, and I've hardly ever seen him smile like he does with her. Their friendship was something beautiful... I always think it's a bit sad their romantic relationship didn't work out, but maybe it was for the best.
Nah. These years , he sang AMAZING.. with anyone . He had a great voice from the beginning through the seventies , always. Yes, by mid to late 80’s things changed. But Bob had a great voice in my opinion

After 40 yrs of playing myself and being a massive Dylan fan with 25 live shows so far from 87 I can say he's definitely improved a lot over the years as a guitarist and singer in my opinion although I think he was amazing to start with.
2+2 = 4 .. he's got that down as a guitarist .. but really he just worked at the guitar till he got a band.. having said that he's a musical phenomenon 🙂

Thanks TH-cam for recommending Bob & Joan. I love the DA Pennebaker movie, saw Don’t Look Back in the early 70’s at the Art Theatre 🎭 in my hometown. Excited for A Complete Unknown, on Christmas. I always listen to a lot of Bob Dylan on sleep playlists, and Joan, her voice isn’t so great here, oh she just got good.❤❤

I know other people interfered with their relationship jealous of the creativity they shared I guess and wanting to get in more with Bob. If it had to end it should not have ended like that and friends and other musicians should have minded their own business but were controllers. manipulative, petty, and gossipy too! Joan Baez looks so sad. A few days later she flew back to the States knowing her tenuous romantic hold on Dylan had gone forever. The camera is horribly intrusive here. Shows the whole world her sense of loss and of having been abandoned. Though they retained their musical harmony, or revamped it in the mid 70s, the romance was over...

@@SwinginPig She lives in San Pablo but had an art deal going on there. My Mom works in the area so I hang out there a bit. I thought she also shopped in my grocery store but im not 100% on that. These masks really throw it off.

Joan Baez looks so sad. A few days later she flew back to the States knowing her tenuous romantic hold on Dylan had gone forever. The camera is horribly intrusive here. Shows the whole world her sense of loss and of having been abandoned. Though they retained their musical harmony, or revamped it in the mid 70s, the romance was over...
