Dude Mario Sunshine is without a doubt the most underrated Mario game. It’s so effing hard and so rewarding. The world building and mechanics are so fun to mess with.
I am still proud of my past self to have completely finished F-Zero GX. Story on very hard. Unlocked all secret characters (even the AX ones) and got all the videos for each characters master cup. It was hell but i really thought there might be more to unlock than the 41 characters. Or maybe another ax cup.
ETERNAL DARKNESSSSSSS!!! I have the best memories of this game.... and wind waker..... and metroid prime..... and, ok ill shut up now! love this video!
I 100% agree with F-Zero GX being the most difficult game. I managed to beat most of the story missions on the hardest difficulty and unlock several of the bonus characters. I remember putting hours and hours into this game just to practice the level to perfection.
There are more difficult GameCube games I have ever played. 1. Wave Race Blue Storm - I beat all of Wave Race 64, but when I tried to beat all of Blue Storm, there is a sudden difficulty spike when reaching the Hard championship. Winning races are very unlikely, and the game kicks the player out if his or her total points aren't enough to proceed to the next round. Even worse, the courses and routes (other than Southern Island) aren't designed well, and the handling is tougher than in Wave Race 64. 2. Castle Shikigami 2 - Even on Very Easy level settings and in Easy mode, a 1cc run is near impossible, even if Kohtaro Kuga is selected. I mean, he has one of the best charge attacks in the game thanks to his shikigami, Sazae. Even I tried to 1cc Easy Mode as Sayo Yuuki, but it's a pain in the neck.
This video title sounds like it came from that kid on the playground who wants to look cool. "These are the HARDEST Gamecube games, and I beat them!" Great video so far!
Alien hominid is a game I never thought I would hear mentioned again in my life. I followed the Dev very closely when I created animations for New Grounds. Had no idea there was a sequel.
When I first heard Resident Evil Zero I thought "Huh, I don't remember it being that hard" but then you mentioned puzzles and I remembered I used a guide for those. The hardest aspect for me was the fact that areas with missing items aren't highlighted red like in REmake. If you missed an item and you're not willing to look it up, enjoy thoroughly searching the entire area again and even then you might not find them.
Merry Christmas! I finally got to play F-Zero AX at and arcade in Madison Wisconsin this summer and while it was fun, it was also insanely difficult and brutal. Just like every one of those games in the series.
@@TotallyTubularJonathan it’s streamed unfortunately. I still think it’s worth the play, but I just wanted to shed some light on an underrated game while still giving you the engagement
Yes. I completely agree (Super Smash bros. 2) a.k.a. Melee is extremely difficult. The final event match took me a very long time to overcome, as well.
Great video dude! I’m so glad you mentioned RE0 because I can beat the remake with my eyes closed…but RE0, there’s a point where you separate and choose if Billy hook shots up to the vent or Rebecca. Choose Billy! I spent actually forever trying to find the other green chemical I thought I broke the game in some way. And there’s just not enough ammo and health in the game, especially in the final section. Just RUN past everything, honestly! The hardest GCN game for me could possibly be Baten Kaitos: Origins, F-Zero GX or Metroid Prime 2. F-Zero actually made me cry pathetically on the final story chapter without those barriers. I would say it’s one of the hardest games ever made, and I’ve finished Zelda II, Mega Man 3 & 9 and Battletoads dammit! 😂 Oh and just an edit: I’m not sure if you’ve done the most difficult NES games but if you did, play The Adventures of Bayou Billy. It could possibly be the hardest game I have ever played, ever.
2 weeks ago I finished F-zero GX 100% aside from beatig staff ghosts. That stuff is impossible. Then again I unlocked them all and bought everything in the shop. Very hard story missions and all character movies unlocked.
19:06 Viewtiful Joe Revival is a lot easier, but it only came out in Japan. That's due to the inclusion of a "Sweet" difficulty level. If you pick that one up, you won't have a hard time, unless you want to unlock more hidden characters.
Surprised that Metroid Prime 2: Echoes isn't on the list. I remember that game kicking my butt when I first played it. The enemies hit harder & sometimes annoying to avoid; especially the Dark Commandos, there's the amount of bosses you faced and some like the Boost & Spider Guardian are an nightmare, the puzzles are alot more complex than the first or third Prime game, finding 3 tokens to face the main boss in each area is tricky and finding all the Sky Temple Keys towards the endgame is absurd. It's the hardest of the Prime Trilogy and maybe the hardest Metroid game in general. Even more so than Samus Returns & Dread without the Hard or Dread Mode.
I think the original Metroid without using a map or a guide would be the hardest, but except this, MP2 troubled me the most to finish. The Wii version is much easier
@severinocapeta So was Zelda 1 & 2. But those games were made with it's total limits and they have guide books back in the day. So they had an good reason. Plus Metroid 1 gotten an better remake in an form of Zero Mission. So it doesn't count.
Good list. Yeah Metroid Prime 2 could be on there. I never could beat level 5 of Ikaruga. I even downloaded videos of people doing it back when it came out, which was difficult. I just didn't have the skill to pull off the moves and survive.
Played Viewtiful Joe on the PS2 rather than the GameCube, but yeah quit right at Fire Leo because I had no clue what to do. Without FLUDD it seems like the laws of physics change in Sunshine.
The reason why I don’t play super Mario 64 and super Mario sunshine is because of the difficulty and the camera prevented me from completing and getting 100 percent.
Same. I don't mind games being difficult. But 64 & especially Sunshine makes the games hard for the wrong reasons. It's buggy, the controls aren't that great, the level designs & mission built around it are obnoxious & repetitive, the collectables are tedious and 100% the game are an nightmare. If you wonna have an 3D Mario game that's difficult but fair, I would rather play Galaxy 2 or 3D World.
Found channel a few days ago. Good content. Your thumbnails need to improve if you want to attract more viewers. I am not a graphic designer but they are too crowded and lack any text. I imagine a lot of people will just scroll past. I think you will attract more viewers if you play the game a bit better. The content itself will retain viewers, no issue there.
@@TotallyTubularJonathan Well, only if you want more views. You have a lot of videos that come up in search so free promo, and you have a strong base of subs so you could venture into other types of game related videos while still doing these lists but with less frequency. well I appreciate the civil constructive feedback. I have lots of Hardest games videos planned but I think I am going to try to space them out a little. Will have to see what I am feeling, hoping to do some more series ranking videos soon!
@@TotallyTubularJonathan You should do something other than the rankings you're doing right now too, since you have played a ton of games you have a lot of knowledge and experiences that a lot of people dont have PLUS you have your own unique perspective and taste, so you could do videos talking about about your favorite mechanics, art styles or whatever comes to mind in games. You could also strategize your uploads. Me and my friend actually managed to unlock the ax tracks in gx last year, at 30years old… it was impossible when we were kids back then
Alien Hominid looks like an early version of Cuphead
