Not going to lie, I've owned this thing for a while and I didn't know how to drag windows, folders, and files. Until I saw your clip regarding, drawing. Thank you for the detailed walk-through.
@@TossSong thank you so much. I had exactly the same question coming into your video :-D I picked it up today and had no idea that L1 is left click as well and works for draging.
What I just figured out on Android is this keyboard has a menu key that works to activate the menu button android used to have. Life saver if you use old apps that need it to function. This would be a perfect mini keyboard if it was a little bit smaller. The keys are spaced a bit too much apart and it's bigger than my phone which means I'm not carrying it around often.
Thank you for such detailed review! I see you have both mini keyboards: rii i4 and rii x8. Which one would you recommend more? I love that rii i4 can be paired by bluetooth, however, rii x8 seems more ergonomic to type and such. Which one do you prefer and why? I mainly will use it for typing notes when in bed, revising slides and do practice questions (multiple choice format). Which one fits better with this criteria?
The Rii K06 has the best typing experience of all 3 I have had even with the keys are tightly packed together, but has no scrolling wheel and small touchpad. The i4 has the best features but has auto-scrolling bug, but Not for every unit I’m sure. The X8 has the best design especially for holding for long periods (no scrolling bug. My choice is now the X8.
Hi, thanks for your comment. The 6 multi-media keys work well with PC. Bottom 3 of the multimedia: Print, Home (bring to Home Screen when using an app), and Undo. Again work on PC.
does the trigger buttons work on android? I love that right and left click buttons are turned into triggers, but some reported they are not recognised in android
Hi, thanks for reaching out. I’m not sure, have you tried rebooting the phone? Also, charged the i4 keyboard again then turn it off then on again? Let me know.
Hi, thanks for your comment. The quality is okay. The touchpad is not bad at all comparing to the rest of the plastics, the body, the shoulder buttons, etc. It might feel cheap to some people, but it feels somewhat durable and last.
my keyboard doesn't connect to 2.4ghz receiver unless its right next to it. Like within an inch or two.. anything further away and it looses connection. Tested receiver with a second keyboard and it works... definitely something going on with the Tx in the keyboard. Any ideas how to fix?
Hi, thanks for your comment. I assume you have tried pulling the receiver out and back in. If yes, it’s likely defective. Also, resetting the computer, turning off the mini keyboard and back on. If all that already, it may likely be defective. Or some kind of huge interference going on. Other than all that, I wouldn’t know.
Thanks for reaching out. There is no key combination on the Rii i4. On Linux, you may have use some screenshot utility. Unfortunately I’m not too familiar with Linux, sorry.
Hi, thanks for the detailed video. In my scenario I’m going to plug receiver in my tv and I’ll connect to Amazon stick by bluetooth. Can you tell me if I can easily switch devices without unplugging dongle etc…? Maybe with a key combination like you did at initial setup.
Thank you for comment. I don’t know about how to use the Amazon stick using Bluetooth with the mini keyboard, you may have to experiment with it. But to switch to Bluetooth on the mini keyboard, Press fn+tab (while leaving the receiver in the TV). Let me know how it goes.
@@TossSong I’m going to buy the keyboard. Hopefully that’ll work. That would be perfect if I can use the same keyboard on both devices with simple keypress. Actually, if you still have the keyboard, maybe you can try it with pairing one bluetooth device and one device with usb and switch between as proposed. I’ll order it now but if you say that didn’t work that way, I can cancel my order then 😬
Hi, thanks again for your comment. It should work, switching between one device for Bluetooth and the another device for 2.4G receiver. Very perceptive of you, Wow, good guess! I actually did sell the keyboard. Not because I didn’t like it, but because I like to review new ones (and don’t want to clutter my room since I’m a small-time YTber). :)
Hi, thanks for your comment. Have you tried two-finger gesture? Slide from the center to the right (or try left). Let me know. Or try hold down the FN key + the gesture. Let me know. Thanks.
Thanks for your comment. I only know that “i4” is the latest version (2019 version). They haven’t yet made one after that, not that I know of from my research. As for the “x8+” I’m going to guess that they made some improvements (bug fixes) over the “x8”. As for the “ix8” is the oldest according Amazon. I don’t know why they named them like that, they all are made in China.
Hi thanks for your comment. I would say yes, if you want to connect to a mobile phone and using it with Bluetooth. Other than that they both have the same functionality. Form factor would be something to consider, whichever to you more preferable.
Hi, yes they are data transferable (some up to 40Gbps). They’re for less price on AliExpress, but there are so many brands. Just search “usb-c magnetic adapter”.
I enjoyed your content. it seems to have too much clicky sound like an Xbox controller. I'm thinking of the RII K06, only thing is the keys are so close while the keys on this one is spaced. I want for TV and Laptop when connect to TV. 😅
Thank you for your comment. Great observation on both points! Yes, this is true the K06 does have the keys packed closer together. The i4 keys are more apart and a little more comfortable. I do feel the difference between them. And also it’s true that the i4 is more clicky and can be annoying if used often. 👍 However they are not too bad in my opinion. And you can get used to either one. I do like them both.
Thanks for recommending. I haven’t tried it. I definitely would do more on these mini keyboard for sure. And I’ll look into the K12+ too. They’re so interesting to me. Hope you come back for them.
Hi thanks for commenting. Yes, I mostly bought them from AliExpress. I have more keyboards that I review on this channel too-all from Ali. But this is the only one (the first mini keyboard I review) bought from Amazon.
Thanks for your comment. I’m sure I can be used for gaming, as long as the games required keyboard use. I haven’t tried it. It would be interesting to see those who use it for gaming to comment here.
Your voice is so calm I can listen to it all day but I don't have any time 😅
Thank you for your nice compliment. :) Whenever you have time, do come back.
No kidding i was so relaxed watching the video. 😂
Thank you. Hope that was a good thing. I was trying to make sure I made things clear. I do have an accent in person. Thanks again.
Very true

What do the Multi media functions do on the top right?
Only the sound buttons work for me, the other 3 seem to do nothing. (Used on Mac)

For me the triggers on the i4 work on my Android tablet perfectly. They function as the left and right mouse click. Not sure about for gaming.
Hi
I’ve connected the i4 to iPhone 12, the keyboard working but cursor not, any idea?
Hi, thanks for reaching out. I’m not sure, have you tried rebooting the phone? Also, charged the i4 keyboard again then turn it off then on again? Let me know.
Is the trackpad quality good or sensitive on a sweaty hands just like other cheap wireless mini keyboard?

should use this sentence to test all keys.
the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

This same model nowadays comes with USB-C, at least from Ali.

touchpad looking real slow and laggy
I agree. It feels like it because of its tiny size touchpad.
OK, but what is the little tiny? Dot below the spacebar
Thanks for commenting. I’m not even sure. Could it be for small screw to open up it up?
el único defecto es que no pueden hacer zoom en multimedia ni nada.
Yes, true. No zooming in or out with the touchpad, unfortunately. I think because it’s too small.
Also, I just got one recently and it is USB-C
I would like one too! I have to look into that.
yours sounds really clunky. Mine feels really solid
Yes, this keyboard could be made by another company that imitate/copy one another. Or made it for cheaper manufacturing.
