Your showcases are so cool!
Thank you very much for your comment. I’m happy that you enjoyed it.
Note that trackpad scroll is done with the fn key and moving up and down. I think this is better than two fingers because you can scroll with the thumb and without moving the mouse
Thank you for sharing and for your comment. I didn’t get to figure out everything on video after unboxing. :)
Any idea what the difference between the K06 and the i6 is?
I ordered a K06 from Amazon and received an i6. It works as advertised but is seriously cheap feeling and I was wondering if the K06 might be a newer higher quality version?
Hi, thanks for reaching out. I believe the K06 has both 2.4Ghz (or dongle option) and Bluetooth. While the i6 only has the 2.4Ghz.
Thank you for the review! This would be a nice upgrade to my Rii mini i25 remote if they had still kept the "airmouse" feature that lets you wave the remote in the air to control the mouse. I can see the small trackpad being a little annoying to use on this one. On my i25, once it goes to sleep, I have to press a button once to wake it, then can press the button I want to use. Does this behave the same way, or does it instantly recognize your button press after going into sleep mode?
Thank you for your nice comment. Yes, the rii 06 will wake up the same way. However it doesn’t recognize the button that you press to wake it. You’ll have to start after the first press.
…if I remember correctly. *I will confirm that by testing it. And I’ll let you know.
@@TossSong thank you! Also, any issues with duplicated keystrokes? Maybe because my i25 uses usb dongle and not bluetooth, it duplicates key presses quite a bit.
Hi, with this rii 06, I’ve not experienced duplicated keystrokes. Although I’ve never type anything longer than a couple of words for Google searches for example, not even a paragraph yet. No duplicated strokes. Is it possible that the i25 has like rubber keys? And the 06 has plastic keys? I’m not sure 🤔. But either way, I’m pleased with it. And I think you may too.
@@TossSong Yes i25 has rubber keys, and even typing just one word shows the issue. Thank you for checking this on the 06! Also, regarding 2 finger scrolling missing on the trackpad, I noticed the blue lines on it. Can you hold down Fn and then use your finger to scroll with the trackpad?
Hey, very thorough, engaging reviews! Question: If you could only use 1, which would you choose, the i4 or the K06??? The K06 is newer/sleeker, but that scroll wheel on the i4 looks pretty nifty... Many thanks in advance!
Thank you for your comment. They are both good. For me I would choose i4 (*if you don’t have any issue with it). Later I had issue with it “auto” scrolling down without me touching it. In TH-cam for example, if you leave it alone, sometimes it would scroll through the page by itself. And if you are playing games, the action that is “down” can be triggered without you. This has been reported here and there online. But you don’t have any issues, then the i4 is it. Or else, the K06.
Thank you SO much for the speedy reply! I really appreciate it! Don't mean to bother you, but can you give me any particular reasons you prefer the i4 to the K06? I'm about to buy the i4 now, but I just want to be sure... Thanks again!
Also which is better for typing?
Yes, i4 is more ergonomic, better feel in hands. Shoulder buttons, Replaceable battery and scroll wheel are very practical. (*Again if you don’t encounter self-scrolling issue with it.)
K06 is better for typing but not by much. It’s clicky not mushy (i4 is a bit mushy but not bad). Also I forgot to mention, K06 is faster connecting when you turn it on, like immediately. The i4 is slower at that, it takes about 2 seconds to connect.
Ohh I pike this one, I saw your other video reviewing the i4, is this mini keyboard better than i4 in your opiniom? I subveibed btw great videos 🤙👌
Hi, thanks for for your nice comment and support. Yes, in my opinion this one (the K06) is the better of the two. Typing on it and the form factor are better. Although it doesn't come with the scrolling wheel, holding a button while scrolling using the touchpad is as easy (not shown in the video, I learned later). Overall, the experience with this one is better; it feels like I'm holding a keyboard and a remote. The i4 does have its pros. Not shown in this video, but with the i4, it does have a flaw: say on TH-cam, the screen would scroll on its own without me doing so-there have been others reporting this online and on TH-cam. So, the K06 is my choice, in my opinion.
@@TossSong ty for honest review and tips 🙏
Thank you.
Is there a way to use a different dongle, my dog broke the 2.4g dongle
Thanks for reaching out. This version has Bluetooth also that you could use. But if you’re using the 2.4g, I don’t know. They don’t have any information on this. You’ll have to experiment with it (universal dongle, like for computer mouse). Unfortunately I don’t have one to test it.
Hi, Thanks for the great review. Where can I buy this? I am based in Australia, if not available what website is a good option to purchase? Thanks
Thank you for your comment. I got it from Amazon. But you could always get it from AliExpress, they ship to Australia. I looked at Amazon.com.au for you and couldn’t find the “Rii K06”,but there are plenty of other ones with similar features. I would go for the K06 on AliExpress.
@@TossSong thanks for the info
No problem.
I like the video you did, would you make a video for our product?😄😄😄
Hi, thank you for your comment. Yes, I’d like to. I have had my eyes on the iPazzPort brand, I assume. Yes, if you could tell me more information about your company and the product, I’d be happy to. Thank you.
Can you switch between 2 devices with Bluetooth
Hi, thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately you cannot between 2 Bluetooth devices (without unpairing). But you can between Bluetooth and 2.4GHz dongle.
Anyone know how to re connect the 2.4z mine doesn’t seem connect when the usb is inserted anymore
Hi, thanks for reaching out. I assume you’ve tried restarting the computer, plugging the receiver into another USB port, testing the receiver with another computer? Let me know if
@@TossSong Ive tried it in different computer and even tried to pair the Bluetooth mode. It’s something wrong with the keyboard as neither pairing mode works
Yes, unfortunately there seems to be something wrong with it. Hopefully you could return or exchange it.
@@TossSong I’ve had it for almost a year now, use it very rarely.. sucks..
I see. I also use mine rarely. I hope mine will last.
I’m trying to use this with my Samsung smart tv and while some of the buttons work, the keyboard won’t work whatsoever. Can I not use the keyboard aspect as a keyboard on a smart tv?
Hi, thanks for reaching out. Yes, there are some compatibility issues with Rii (any model) and Samsung TV. I have a Samsung monitor/smart TV, it doesn’t recognize it at all. However certainly smart tv’s do work with Rii keyboards.
@@TossSong thanks! So if it’s not working now with this Samsung smart tv then there isn’t a way to get the keyboard function to work?
Unfortunately I don’t think it’s possible. It has to be programmed by the manufacturer.
why can bluetooth keyboards never come with USBC to USBC not everyone has USB A connectors nowadays haha
Thank you for your comment. I agree. I have had to buy several adapters for this. I assume they also distribute to many countries that are still using computers/laptops with USB-A connectors.
