Slept in that both in -16c degrees. All the wood was frozen and water logged so impossible to light in the stoves. Thank god for a gentleman called stuart in the next room who pulled coal on a cart and invited us through for a heat.

Great camp, we're up that way alot. Heading back up over Christmas. Never been to that bothy. Been to ryvoan bothy and that can get mobbed even just with passers by, so never stayed overnight in it. Just walked and cycled past. Went inside myself for a nosey. We camped at Loch morlich loads before covid and the signs went up. If you walk right round Loch morlich it's just over 3 miles, and there's some nice spots over the other side away from the road by the loch. Maybe not for a big tent, but can definitely get a hammock in load of spaces, or 1 or two man tent in, plus they're not right at the path either. Summer is really busy but winter there's hardly anyone and next to no tents. That sandy bit, I've seen that absolutely heaving in the summer! Kayaked up there too.

@Colinrussellscottishwildcamper it looked a nice one and well kept too. If you're up that way again I'll PM you another nice, much quieter Loch than Loch morlich too. Good for camping and kayaking

Them blackout shades in winter, in Scotland....only time you had them off your eyes/head was in bed. Don't you like to see the natural environment as it's meant to be seen? Really don't understand that.
