@@wulliescottishoutdoors I've seen the exact same things elsewhere for a lot more money, fishing gear is cheap as chips compared to the shop in town, Midge suit will be great. Raised fire pit will be handy. Would spend far more buying ithe same stuff elsewhere.👍🏴🏕🎣👌

Had problems with a ranger at that spot moving people on, ended up with a formal complaint being sent to the forestry. Must have got the message. There is also a great spot about a mile to the east of that spot.
@@wanderwithmac yeah spoke to someone there who said they had been moved on previously, Never saw a Ranger when I was there. Yeah, noticed a couple of nice spots along the Raiders Road. Atb👍🏴🏕👌
Superb spot pal.👍 Honestly,try TCP watered down in a spray bottle mate. Midges cant stand it. The smell is not to everyone's liking Colin. Its very medicinal and strong. But you become nose blind to it yourself.

Excellent video Colin I'm glad you enjoyed the raiders road as you say its a great place to visit. You need to try Clateringshaws Loch across the road that's a lot quieter and I think there might be a few places you could camp.

Hi. Do the boots run small? I ordered size 44 with an insole length of 282 +-2 cm. I usually take a 285+ mm insole length for mountains and wear a thick trekking sock. In the city I wear 42-42.5 and the insole length is 270mm. I don’t know how it will be when climbing and descending in the mountains, maybe I should have ordered 44.5....?

Lovely Colin. Honestly mate,i know everyone has a "midgie remedy." But try TCP with a 60% TCP and 40%water mix in a small spray bottle. You wont notice the smell after 20 mins. Superb results.👍

I assume this is an essential piece of kit during the winter months while wild camping, as I will be purchasing myself for emergencies?
