    We need more "sleeper" gaming laptop design like this.
    It saved the lives of many grown adults out there, be it on campus, office, or cafes, from judgemental bombastic side-eyes around them.
    Screw performance-police audiences that fetishized TGP & thinks thin-and-light gaming laptop is a scam, this is not for them and that's okay.

    • @paolocee
      @paolocee  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

      Well said, my friend. I used to want the biggest, sharpest most BFG type laptop out there but I just couldn't realistically say it was nice to pull up with an 18inch Desktop replacement Alienware in the middle of a presentation.
      For these new laptops; I dubbed these sleeper laptops coz NOONE cared what I had on my lap; they just assumed it was a cheap-ish, office computer; until I popped up Ghost of Tsushima on the plane and that OLED screen made the whole cabin as bright as day. Get what makes you happy and what meets your needs, right? thanks for the chat and feedback!

    I got the 4070, white/silver colour.
    It is absolutely fucking SUPERB, without any bias! I can play ANY game released right now on it, even on battery power (but only lasts like 90 minutes playing games...) and it's just generally amazing. Also do a bunch of my software programming stuff on it now, because it's just lovely to use and the keyboard is wicked.

      @paolocee  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Thanks for the feedback! Fan does get loud but only when playing AAA games, in my experience, Ghost of Tsushima. “Lighter” games comparatively like Rocket League or Dave the Diver was quiet but noticeable from time to time vs the full speed with AAA games. I personally recommend the G14 even if the razer look like a good contender; plenty of power, ultra portable and the noise is not a deal breaker imo. Hope this helps.

I usually have ONE primary software running at a time like Adobe Premiere Pro, or Steam, or whatever, and hardly twice because i usually focus on one single item at a time. But even when i forgot to close down apps, i've never had any stutter issues or slow downs with my 16GB set up. Also, when browsing, i dont have more than 5 tabs open at a time. Heard about those and definitely hope Asus addresses these issues. They make truly cool stuff that is innovative and different like the Zephyrus Duo and the new G16. These things perform outstandingly well but on the other side; support is just as important since these devices are pushing the envelope of performance.
      Personally, I’ve had zero issues with all my Asus products so far; I know that good airflow when in heavy use is important; keep my devices up to date and secure, and simply just giving it proper TLC goes a long way. Hopefully these new G Laptops have improved since the last RMA round of issues with prior products.

The temps I use normally are around the 5600k mark but I do have lights around the studio which can "Complement" the surrounding lighting.
      On my camera, I've got my aperture set to around F5 so that it get dim enough for me to edit it in Adobe Premiere to brighten up if needed without too much bokeh or blurring. Because cameras now are so good, especially full frame cameras, even when shooting in the dark, you can bring it up in post production.
      Finally, what you shoot, or the subject matters as well. The colours of what youre shooting should have items around it that complement the colours of the product to make it pop. My studio is dark on purpose so that all focus is on the product as much as possible.

      Hey dude, it provides up to 100W Of power which is sufficient enough to charge the laptop when not using at 100% like AAA gaming. Quite frankly, I’ve mainly used just the USB C since it’s so convenient. Thanks!

      Yes. I was heavily contemplating getting the 32GB but it wasn't available at the time and I really wanted the G14 for travel.

      No. An rtx 2060 is decent but a laptop version max q variant is super underpowered and you don't get the latest Fram gen stuff with 30 or 40 series. See if you can find a cheap 3060 laptop for 900 dollars or less...thats worth it

    I don't know why are you recommending this laptop.
    Look at the graphics card TGP.
    The card has been used that is not full power card.

    • @paolocee
      @paolocee  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks for the view. I’m recommending it coz I love it overall. If you physically check the G14 in person, it’s amazing how a slim computer can even provide equivalent graphics power of an older 3060! My advice is to not focus on the immediate specification and adjust your expectations for a small laptop, designed primarily for portability. If you want full power, save the money and get an actual gaming desktop.✌️

      I prefer the 4060 primarily because it draws less power and when undervolted, will provide the power i need for this device - 4070 is better if you're planning to keep it plugged in at all times.

    • @paolocee
      @paolocee  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      It depends on the games you play if you wanna know how hot it gets.
      For me, It only ever got super hot (like, it burns my lap) for me playing AAA games like Ghost of Tsushima. With RPGs and Lighter games like Dave the Diver, it was good to the touch at medium temperature. For ultra-light games, video, browsing, instagram etc, it is super cool to the touch; a completely different animal when on light use.
      TL:DR, if you use are in a scenario where youre using the RTX 4060, it will get hot. With the AMD integrated graphics, it is super cool.
