Jason Roger's doesn't get enough props. Every part he had was sick. I loved his mlk board. Snapped it in less than a week, but the shape and pop where perfect. His "Risk it" part was nuts. Also doesn't get enough props. Cookiehead Jenkins! Damn!
Thank you for this loved Jason's H-Street Next Generation part watched it 100's of times, such a flashback 90's ruled Poot clothing baggy enough for yah friends...
I remember back in 1989 I believe I had a launch ramp in front of my house in my neighbor's Eric and Brian when we were kids said my cousin's coming over to skateboard can we use your ramp launch ramp it was on Thanksgiving I said no problem this kid was sponsored by vision was ripping doing all these crazy launch ramp tricks and flat ground tricks and he even taught me a little bit how to do some tricks and I didn't even know it was Danny Way until later on
Jason Rogers' little clips interspersed throughout all the epic H-Street videos always stood out to me. His style was super clean and I learnt a lot of tricks from watching him on those old bootlegged VHS tapes.
Best japan grab love watching him skate ever since H street evol those were the dayz he destroyed mini ramps with fs blunt and noselunt combos that only danny way chould do at that time jason and chad knight are the most underated skaters on the planet
Jason Rogers was a bit under rated. Great on ramp and street. I had 1 or 2 of his boards including the Martin Luther King one from 92 or 93. Early 90s to mid 90s were golden period though I skated from 87 to 04, when I destroyed my back, which sucked big time.
Hey Tony, nice to hear more about Jason's journey through skateboarding, even though I competed in a few CASL contests with him and many others back in the day. At 0:30 on the timeline, I was a bit surprised to see the photo of Jason Rogers, Lori Rigsbee, Jake Piaseki and I, John Trimble. I shared that photo with Jason several years ago on Facebook and with Lori Rigsbee through direct email. I also included it in a couple of my skate documentaries. Unfortunately I learned of Jake Piaseki's passing a bit late before he got a chance to see that photo of us all on top of the vert ramp at Mike McGill's skatepark. As far as I remember, that group photo was taken as part of a talent and appearance scout / photoshoot for some Hollywood gig. Prior to that photo taken, the photographer took photos of me skating the 6 ft mini ramp, then had me go to the vert ramp for that group photo. I don't remember the name of the photographer, hoping maybe Jason or Lori might know who took our photos skating that day. I already asked both of them, they don't remember either. Maybe you might know, since you were filming back then and had connections with plenty in the industry.
Amazing with the inside perspective! The video would benefit with the names and places mentioned and shown being written out. The spelling of the lesser known persons and places can be almost impossible get right just from audio. I’ve watched Hokus Pokus thousands of times, but I have no idea of most of the spots names.
the bank from jason's "risk it" part is in the plan b "joslin and lazer" video with the back smith bigspin th-cam.com/video/l54Otifga5o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=w9b5QtRGjS-sX2Ko&t=241
Keep doing these. The interviews are dope! ❤I’m 50 so those were my years 86-94. Still skate but those were the best days 😢
❤🤘🏾

This was really cool, I didn't know much about him. Love that story about Danny Way climbing on the outside of a moving train!
This part got me into the Bad Brains. My fav vid after all these years.
EPIC!
That was a time! As a kid I started out on BMX and then moved to a skateboard.

Oh I forgot to say something to his brother was out there skateboarding with us I think his name was Dominic
🥳🥳🥳
Was it Jason Rogers who had the one-foot t-shirt with him in cross hair? Great interview
👍
it's like watching and hearing eric koston.
So sick to hear about all the SD locals. Didn't know Mr. Rogers was a Japanese American with all that long hair. Great interview!
