    This is the best F22 demonstration (possibly any fighter demonstration) that I've ever seen... and I've spent way too much time on TH-cam watching these demos. I salute you F22 pilot, engineers, and all that help/enable this great machine to fly through the air in such a graceful and awe-inspiring manner. I am amazed.

      @@sgddfgfghfgh The F-35 Lightning II is similar in some ways to the F-22 Raptor -- it's a stealthy fifth-gen jet and contains cutting-edge military tech. Where I live, sometimes we get a lot of F-35 activity, sometimes we don't -- but it always seems like the rainy days have some of the highest activity. Like the local Air Force Base is saying, "Hey, check this out, we can still fly in the rain and clouds!"
      It's not much of a stretch to say I'm sure the F-22 can fly in the same weather conditions as the F-35 :)

    One of the few videos that puts thrust vectoring right in the title.

    I had a first hand treat of the Raptor during testing in early 2000. Driving thru Marietta GA it shot up right next to my car with its weapons bay doors open!!! Saw it before I heard it... cars were swerving all over the interstate they were so startled to see this monster so close to the road... Lockheed purposely dropped it from 30-40 ft up, it took a nice bounce but kept flying... no doubt we make some of the most impressive military hardware🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

You can't argu on aircraft just beacause they are in this or thats gen, in the case of the F22 nothing exepted his "stealth" make me think thats there is a significativ gap betwen this plane and the others of anterior generation.
      You like to thinks thats the F22 is unbeatable, I respect thats, thats a huge advantages for others military power to have a rival who think he is unbeatable.

    Let me straighten you out. The thrust vectoring on the 22 was designed for one thing only. Not to do tricks that would make it easy to get some woman bedded. But to take off with a full load, which might be appreciated in some quarters. Delta configured planes have difficulty taking off with a full load. To facilitate this thrust vectoring was invented. Just like rubbers and therefore babies were prevented.

      No thrust vectoring has a alot to do with bvr and the application of stealth. At really high alts pitch rates are decreased as there is less air and sustained turns really suffer this helps with that.

  • @frankthespank
    @frankthespank 7 ปีที่แล้ว +24

    Oh the F-22 sucks cause it sacrifices aerodynamics for stealth.... ::rolls eyes:: Doesn't look like it sacrificed that much huh Russia? Russia acts like stealth is a gimmick, if that were the case then why are they developing a stealth fighter jet like the F-22?

    • @valenrn8657
      @valenrn8657 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      frankthespank, F-22A was required to be better than F-15C/F-15E in kinematics.
      The basic form plan for F-22A is F-15. F-22's forward chines (diamond shape forward section) adds forward lift (acts like forward canards or long LEX in F-18) and cant'ed twin tails adds lift.
      F-22A has super-cruise with Mach 1.5+ while F-15E has mach 1.14 (within limited configuration).

    Loss of energy.. Seems the raptor is so heavy.. I like the shape and design of the jet but f16 is far better and agile.. I think if the raptor is just small like the f16 size that would be awesome i think by that it is fast and nimble..
