An F35 flew over the inner harbor in Baltimore this past summer during their fleet week. Loud doesn’t even begin to describe just how loud this thing is. The sound bouncing off the taller building downtown, I’m surprised it didn’t break windows. Then, it hovered over the inner harbor for about five minutes, and everyone had their hands over their ears.
Holy crikey !! That is not a jet engine .. this is THE JET ENGINE. Timing was impeccable as soon as announcer said "a high speed pass" .. vapor cone just appeared on the F-35. Awesome !!
I saw a Raptor being put through testing in Marietta GA in early 2000. Driving south on I-75 and this jet came out of nowhere, vertical right over my car! Scared the s**t out of me as it filled my passenger window… bomb bay doors were open as it flew straight up over the interstate… I glanced behind me to watch my fellow drivers slow up or pull over just to watch this jet fly around. It’s something I will never forget. Got to my hotel and did a google search and there it was, being tested right over the interstate…
Look how massive these jets are and to think they have the radar cross section of a bumble bee. Amazing technology! Being a Wisconsin native EAA will always have a special place in my heart. "Would you intercept me (smacks lips) I'd intercept me." IYKYK 😂😂
Are you serious? You didn’t know an air superiority fighter was superior in the air? And the F-35 is as nimble as the F/A-18C even tho it’s much heavier.
The F-22 and F-35. The difference between turning on a dime and turning on an oversized beach ball. The F-35 however, wins hands down in the high decibel category. Crazy loud!
2 F-35’s took off from our Syracuse NY airport a few week ago. I’ve never seen them live I can’t believe how freaking loud they were. I was jumping up and down for joy and the rest of the brain dead’s had their faces in their phones. I guess I’m as bad. I recorded the planes!
I hate to break it to you but it they “ended production too early” that means there are superior aircraft in development that make the raptor somewhat obsolete for future whatever missions.
The thing that I think sucks is that so many restrictions are placed on American pilots now that you do t see them doing all the awesome aerobatic maneuvers they use to do. There’s a video of a brand new F15EX over seas doing things that makes the aerobatic performance of this show look like child’s play. Sure you get to see them fly but you really don’t get the same awesome show. Just a bunch of turns, climbs, and flyovers. The performance of an F4 back in the day impressed me much more than this new super advanced F35 and even the F22 for the most part.
Not serving anymore and not near an airbase, so don’t get a chance to see them standing on the burners now days. How is the sound level of Fat Amy compared to the Viper?
Boring like the desert, beside what Russian do for 10 or 20 years :(. And that's the last working US fighter, the F35 is more often in garage than in air due to all its problems. Only SU57 and new chinese plane shown a real evolution on non-UAV planes seems to make a difference with their huge capacities
Thanks a lot for videos, no surprise, the F-35 is a really bad turn performer, I was not expecting any better performance, after all it is a very ugly looking plane, but I;m still surprised that even the F-22 cant do 360deg turn within 20seconds. My God, a 35 years old Su-27 could fly 360deg turn in 12-13 seconds, the Su-57 should be even better than Su-27.
What!!??? 😂 Yes it can. Go watch an F-22 demo. This wasn't a showcase of the full performance capabilities of the jets. Even when Cabo or Razz do the F-22 demos at airshows, they're limited on the maneuvers they can display publicly. A lot of the capabilities and maneuvers aren't displayed to the public. It can do much more than it shows in demos at airshows.
