I feel for Raiden in this game. This man does everything logically to save earthrealm just for it not to be the right descision and in return everyone ends up dying
-and just to get overhated by the fanbase for it. SonicHaXD does a great deep dive into why this Raiden didn’t really do anything wrong (besides future Raiden being vague with his message)
I think he handled the situation hilariously bad. first sending a half assed message to your past self, then getting every single person killed while trying to figure out 'who' must win.
Let's be honest. If future Raiden said "Shao Khan must win," past Raiden probably would end up letting him win, therefore allowing Shao Khan to conquer Earthrealm without consequences.

Honestly I loved every character design it's like the best remake of and franchise ever the costumes and animations are top notch and the 60fps on ps3 is still amazing and even as a kid playing as jade or shirtless Johnny I never felt embarrassed just because of how cool and crazy they look
It’s not a remake exactly it’s a continuation of Armageddon but with time jump back to mk 1-3 and it absolutely butchers the story of that era and mk in general

I havent played the MK games since like MK3(I mean I've played some of the newer ones but only a couple of fights). And I came here to do the same and ended up watching the whole thing as well lol.
Jade should be darker. Mileena,sonya&Sindel should have tig ol's (the other women can have various sizes, all of them being huge makes it less fun) Raiden should have shiny eyes and liu should have a bandana

Raiden’s strategy worked, but Liu Kang lost faith in him, though it’s not hard to see why Liu Iang would be angry with Raiden, Liu Kang lost many friends, and the Elder Gods didn’t want to help prior to the deaths of the Earthrealm defenders, Liu Kang lost faith and gave in to his pain
Who knows maybe somewhere becoming a nether, and trying to apply logic to how he died did it. I also wouldn't assume that Shao is a very stealthy guy but I guess looks are deceiving.
If this ever gets a remake, it'd be great if they created a hybrid artstyle between the new games realistic one and the old stylized designs. Since it's the waystation between the two era's of Mortal Kombat's 3d games.

Fighting games are extra difficult competitively, one wrong move and you’ve pretty much guaranteed your defeat, in other games, a single mistake is negligible, but in fighting games, they’re a game ender

She is my favorite character for being a great mother to kitana in the past timelines before she was resurrected and was brainwash into thinking that her daughter turned up against her.
