We (ASV) produced the car drop for our client Volkswagen for this Super Bowl commercial. It was a great stunt that involved removing the engine and transmission and shifting the car’s center point of gravity as we hung it in the tree using a crane. We designed an automatic release system and had one chance to get the drop exactly right, as the impact damaged a lot of the car. The hero shot went flawlessly, it was a lot of fun!
