    That exact chipper is on sale at Sears for $799. Glad I saw this video to see how well it works. Thanks for posting.

      Great little chipper. I have about 1000 trees on my property and came accross a bigger one for my tractor. Thats the only reason i sold mine. I will have some video of that soon. It takes up to 8 inch logs and has a hydrolic motor to pull the branches in. All my crafstman stuff has been good so far. Had a good rototiller but got a couple big ones for my tractor.

      I think these are good little chippers for around the house. I just pick mine up off the side of the road got it running and only thing is the blades need sharpened or replaced. I think they would need to be sharpened on a regular but don't know yet

    When you pull it to start it is the chipper part engaged the whole time on only when it starts up? Wondering because mine is hard to pull and the chipper spins when I try to start it

      Its always connected. Makes starting it hard. Always make sure no brush is in it when you shut it off. Anything in there causes more friction.

    I'm getting one in a trade. Looks like the first thing I'll be doing is taking the plastic safety chute off.

      It worked good with the shoot. I learned with this one and my big one that L shaped chunks always seem to b what jams up.

    I was given one with the house I bought and I can't find the oil dipstick.
    It has 2 yellow caps on each side but no dipstick.

    • @megadosevitaminc8774
      @megadosevitaminc8774  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably no dipstick. Just take the cap off and make sure the oil is close to the top of the hole. Usedbto put a pinkie finger in and if it touched oil its good. Should be able to see the oil. Hope that helps.

      @@megadosevitaminc8774 Thank you for the quick response! Maybe that's why there's the same yellow threaded plug on each side of the motor. Seems odd as it's probably built in the late 90s early 2ks. I will use the pinky method. Thanks again!

    i have the same one and am having a problem getting it to run. Can you tell me if you see a wire on yours that is not plugged into anything? its next the branch chute and comes out under the gas tank. it just hangs there. I dont know if it came off when i took the chute off to store the machine or not. The machine will not stay on and i was wondering if this wire has something to do with it. I would really appreciate it if you could take a look at yours and see if the wire just hangs there. Thank you so much

      I sold mine. Does it fire then die or just not start at all? Fuel goes bad really fast these days, i use stabil now and it helps. I think after mine sat for a few months i had to put a little bit of gas in the spark plug hole to get it to go. And you have to pull pretty hard to get it spinning enough to fire. Too slow and it will not start. I had my kid hold the machine while i pulled it hard. Not sure about the plug. May connect to crankcase for a low oil sensor. Look for a small tab hanging off somewhere. Good luck and thanks for subscribing. Let me know if you cant get it working. I sold it to a friend and i can try to go check it out if needed!!
