The fact that Harley makes you still buy a WHIM is an insult to Harley customers.
You’re not lying
What's that?

We are getting ready to do the “run for the wall” , LA to DC ride. I was going to buy a new one this week. Maybe I’ll wait. Thanks for the tips.
I was at Arizona Bike week and spent several hours riding just about the entire demo fleet. I was interested in the ST models more than anything. I have a 2019 Road Glide Special with a Red Shift 468 cam in it, what I determined is my bike with the cam upgrade has more power than the stock 117 motor, now that's just using my butt dyno so its subjective. I am 63 and have arthritis in some fingers so I really love my hydraulic clutch, there isn't anything about the 2023's worth spending the money to upgrade, especially when I would have to go back to a cable clutch.
Good one man! I'm with you on nothing changing. IMO I think they are topped out for now on the motor size. Only because people are still willing to buy the 114. Plus, it gives more people options to buy their stage kits. As for those new bikes...I wouldn't touch buy them even if you told me you'd buy it for me. The street glide looks like a goldwing and the road glide looks like the challenger.
You know it man .. thanks for watching bro
Huge swing and a miss. I feel like they update just enough to still keep the consumer interested, but there has been literally no really advancement. Outside of the CVO, they just seem to be recycling paint colors as well.
I trade it in for NEW every two years with 20-30k miles on it ... will always buy a black on black special.... and never put a ton of money in upgrades on them. ( Just handlebars w/heated grips.)
As you said, I got a 22 RK right after the 23's came out. Nothing new for 23 for sure
My android auto works without anything but the cord plugged in. I haven't updated my radio, so I don't know if they fixed apple car play yet. I have an o.g. CB mic and I use a wireless dongle. With that I have apple carplay and android auto. I can make phone calls without a regular headset on.
Good point these days interest is absolutely essential high and some dealerships won’t sell at MSRP!
Very true! That’s one reason I made this upload
dude totally agree ! I went to look at a bike a few weeks ago and nothing was being sold at MSRP .. I can't imagine what those new models will sell for !
Determined Veteran - Thanks again for another informative video.... Hit & a Miss - :) Ride safe and I'll see you on the road
Thanks for the advice..I wish I was a rich enough harley rider to enter in your give away
I agree with you. Any new engines should be released for 2024. But a new model with a current engine would be fine also. I bought a 23 SG ST in February. I would be irritated if another 23 model came out with a 121
The windshield you have on your bike I had on my 2021 Tri Glide Ultra for 30 minutes. First of all it is too dark for night riding and the light distorting curved plastic totally sucks. I kept my Trike all HD and ordered the stock shield with a light tent. Looks ten times better and blocks the wind just fine. We all have opinions.
Great info, I’m new to the scene and have never been on a bike. I just love the look of a blacked out street glide special and Chieftain Dark Horse. I don’t want to buy used, because I don’t know what the previous owner did to the bike and really wouldn’t save that much compared to buying new. At least in my home town area. My local sales woman told me to bring 6K and she could put me on a street glide. I’m thinking i need the riders course available immediately after the down payment.
I just bought a 23 road glide Limited my very first brand new bike
if you're buying for the motor size, buy the standard model and drop the 135ci motor in it.
Good feedback. I will probably be in the market for a new bike by the time the new body styles are released
I’m planning on being in Milwakee for the 120th party so we shall see
Big swing & a Miss! Yeah, I don’t think the market as a whole is good to buy ANYTHING currently lol
Not sure where you live but here on NC the prices for a 2022 are the same as a 2023 even some that go back to 2020 and 19 are within a few hundred from a new one
When I traded my 2010 Heritage for the Tri Glide, it took some thinking. My Heritage was on nice ride. All HD. It was stage II with the SE 259 e cams. I also had the first orange tuner and the bike was very strong. When I got on the new 114, that thing has plenty of torque and all the power I will ever need. I really don't see the bigger engine every couple of years. If you ride as much as I do, big engines produce big HEAT. It is a must to get the Cat converter away from the 114. First thing change pipes. If you decide you want a HD trike, forget that MSRP crap. You dealer is not going to sell you one that cheap. It will cost you at least another $2,000 to get out the door. Then, oh yes then, here come the added expenses. Stock handle bars on the Tri Glide Ultra totally suck. Made for average JO or Joanne, they hurt my wrist from the get go. $1,200 plus. On then right side of the trike is the exhaust and catalytic converter. It gets so hot on your leg it will blister you. It took the finish off my wife's boot. So replacing the exhaust is a must. $1000. Now the suspension on the new HD trike totally sucks. It is very stiff and makes the trike handle like S in the curves. Legend suspension front and back with labor, $2,500. Air box so the damn engine can breathe. To make that change you also have to purchase a tuner. With labor $550. These things are just to make the trike handle and ride better. Now comes the extra stuff you want to put on the bike. Luggage rack, trim lights on the rear fenders, trim under the windshield, tented windshield, Chrome lower forks when you do the suspension, $600. Chrome bumper on rear of trike. Highway pegs, chrome covers for passenger footboard, chrome trim around the fenders. So there you go. When you get finished, with these custom add ones, you will for sure be right at $50, 000 or over. How do I know, cause this is all on my new 2021 Tri Glide Ultra when my wife and I brought it home in May of 2021. Would I do it again, you bet. At 70 years old now, my wife and I can still roll down the roa
The 117 came out in 2018 in the CVO
A Saturday upload ! BIG SWING A MISS ! Good vide DV, you need to do more like this
More to come!
You don’t need to buy anything to hack your car play, the dealership only needs to flash your infotainment system and you will have full car play for Apple this option has been available for several years. When I bought my 2020 RGL I had the dealership flash my system right then and there and have had flawless apple car play ever since. By HD’s own policy they are required to do this free of charge when a customer requests it.
That’s a rumor I heard
Once again this is your opinion. If you or anyone else don’t want to buy it don’t. People are always coming up with reasons not to buy HD. How about the reasons not to buy Bud lite !!
Lmao bud light is piss water and now we have a reason to not buy it
I just bought a 2023 Street Glide Special and got 3.99% from HD Financial
You're right on!
Glad your back brother
Thank you brother ! I’ve been back for a few weeks with various uploads … did YT not notify you I was producing content?
I like performance cruiser i looked at all my option saw that with Harley davidson we have the stage 1234 an new 131 motor about 8k here in canada so its doesnt come cheap look at japanese cruiser but there one bike who right out of the box bLow every competition for big power, big torque a 153 cubic inches motor with no extra cost and i bought it its the Triumph Rocket 3 GT now that a cruiser.
HD is pricing themselves out of the common man’s bank account
Without question, buying a brand new 2022 (still on the Dealer's showroom floor) versus a brand new 2023 is a no brainer based on financials, and if one can get the model and/or color desired (2022's have Dealer discounts below msrp from what I've seen). Plus the added fees of Supply Chain, Surcharges, shipping, etc. All in all, the 2022's are $2k-ish (or more) less than the same 2023.
It's almost mid-April 2023, and from what I've seen here (So. Cal.), HD Dealerships still have a few new 2022's left. When I bought my new 2023 RG-ST, I wanted RDRS; my local Dealer had two new 2022 RG-ST but both did not have RDRS (they also had a few 2022 SG-ST, all but 1 had RDRS...brings up another point: RG seems to be outselling SG; a few years ago it was reversed, that is Street Glide seemed to be outselling the Road Glide). Anyhow, I'm enjoying 2023 and well into personalizing it with upgrades and mods.
I thought all the ST models came with RDRS no ?
@@eastcoastganjafarmers85 RDRS Package is an available option for $1,100.00. ABS however is standard equipment. The RDRS Pkg. option includes lots of features; IMO worth it. I specially like the "Hill Hold" feature and the Tires Pressure readout. If a person were going to build the bike up for big power and race it, then one would probably not want the RDRS. Tuning with RDRS: HD Tuners no problem; Dynojet no problem, Vance & Hines no problem (but limited to Stage-1 only?). Changing out the HD ECM to a Thundermax ECM...not sure if Thundermax accommodates RDRS.
100% on point !
Like minds I suppose I knew I wasn’t the minority
I feel like my 2022 lowrider st was the perfect bike for the foreseeable future
Also upgrading the 117 to 128/131 will keep up with whatever HD puts in there bikes over the years
LOL.
Well... they put butt light and all that rainbow craziness in the Harleys now. Are you still willing to support Harley Davidson knowing this? Or are you gona defend Harley and the woke mobs partnership?
You better get a new compensator, new clutch basket and oil pump ASAP. Or that 131 will break those parts really soon.
@@BM-uj7rt
It has the revised oil pump in the 22 models
I bought the Road Glide 3 and it is a swing and HOMERUN. Your comment s about financing didn't apply to me because I had a good year. As for the 114 engine, it runs great. No need to change it. Maybe they were going to use the 121 engine for the 121st anniversary. Maybe they wanted to test the variable valve timing a little longer. I am not exited about that. Maybe they should have offered to put the new sport fairing on the Freewheeler. That would have been awesome. Maybe they should have put the 1250s revolution engine in some of the cruisers. Maybe they could of enlarged the revolution engine and put it in a touring model or trike. Maybe they will put the Roadglide fairing on the the Triglide next year. Maybe woulda coulda shoulda. Maybe there is nothing to complain about because we still have something to look forward to. See you on the road with a big smile, brother.
Oh I straight up said the RG3 was a hit in my opinion ride safe bro see you in the comment section on another video
BIG SWING AND MISS ! A Saturday upload from DV
Got a 2023 RGS and love it 🤷🏻
Hell yeah man happy to read it just not happy with the direction of 2023 but I’m like you I love HD
Got a 23 road glide I cant be happier.
What color did you get sir ?
@Determined Veteran the black on black my good man. First bike & learning alot. A huge learning curve, digging the slow speed maneuvers. Phew it's fun. I'm not sure why I posted the original comment, but I guess my window was open & I jumped in. I didn't think twice I guess.
Awesome man ! My channel is dedicated to us with baggers ! When you have a free chance check out some of my content and see if we are the right fit for you
Too late for me, I just bought a ‘23 a month and a half ago, and put over 3,000 miles on her. I do agree with you, but I fell in love with the Atlas Silver Metallic RG Limited. I couldn’t resist!!!
All good ride fast don’t die DV
About to get a Street Glide ST in a few days but not upgrading getting back into bikes after years, not doing financing and already have the deposit on it so not going back. Would’ve gotten the ‘22 but didn’t like the color options. Wanted the White sand Pearl that comes on the ‘23 STs. Soooo clean.
Those new models will be released as CVO in July. The new bike will follow in 2024 across the board. The new Road Challenger and street chieftain are a big miss for me.
Big swing and a miss. Agreed with your opinion. I plan to keep my 22 rgl for as long as possible.
I'm rebuilding my 06 Sportster for a fraction of cost of new ones. Priced out of my income range
From what I’ve seen, the 22’s are more expensive than the 23’s it’s cheaper to buy the new one
the 2022 softail powerplant is different. it's a 117 .hey have changed them bro.
If you don't like your HD, get rid of it. I love my Road Glide. If you think it's too much money, don't buy it.
😂😂 we all love our Harley high speed
I traded my 2019 Ultra Limited for a 2023 Road Glide ST last month…. Just wanted to try a Road Glide…. It came with a 117 inch motor….. not sure if I like it yet…. Maybe it’ll grow on me 🤷🏻♂️
Congrats man what all differences do you see between the 2 bikes the STs didn’t inspire me to buy another one Vader hands down is a better bike
@@DeterminedVeteran well the fairing is the biggest difference….. three cubic inches bigger motor and the ground clearance is more than usual since it’s coded as a Sport-Touring machine…. I only have 48 miles on it since I haven’t been able to ride due to working….. when I get some time in the saddle I’ll be able to decide if I like my choice or not….. I gave up my tour-pack that I hardly ever used except on a long trip…. I also gave up my fairing lowers and the twin cooling…. We’ll see how it goes…. Thanks for the vid.
Right on hopefully I see you in the comment section on future uploads… I have a bagger build playlist with everything I have on Vader if you have time to check out
No one has commented on the most obvious element of the leaked photos. That’s not cvo level paint. They’re clearly mainline production models
Harley has always brought out major upgrades the year AFTER an Anniversary. 1998 (95th anniversary) was the last year for the Evo and in 99 Harley came out with the Twin Cam. 2003 was 100th anniversary and in 2004 Harley TOTALLY revised the Sportster. 2008 was 105th anniversary and in 2009 Harley changed the routing of the exhaust on their Touring models.
That's just stuff I remember off the top of my head and, at 56 years old, my memory sucks!
They'll debut them in July as 2024 models, available to pre-order for 2025 delivery. Simple.
Big swing and a miss! Couldn’t agree more. From what they are doing with the 120th homecoming party to the lack of “new” bikes plus the price increase for the exact same bikes as last year, and they still can’t include LED turn signals and tail lights on bikes that come standard with LED headlights. They have definitely not helped their cause this year and if they release these new models mid-way through the year it will definitely upset a lot of people.
We shall see I’m looking forward to the Milwakee trip god willing everything goes smoothly and I’m able to attend
@@DeterminedVeteran I may be there. Some friends are taking their 5th wheel toy hauler and I’m hoping to hitch a ride with them or I may end up trailering my bike up and staying with them. Not a huge fan of them having the anti-American Greenday performing.
@@Jedi_CVO-RG lol agreed I’m just going for the brotherhood
Harley Davidson is like Jeep Wrangler. Too many loyal customers, too many clubs, too many succesful owners that can actually afford them regardless on the amount. No brands can touch these two when it comes to the spirit of freedom in America. They are part of the culture. The owners group, the comradery out there, the fun getting together to celebrate the brand week after week after year after decade.....Adapt, Adjust and Accept, that's all we can do.
Very well stated ! Hope to see you again in the comment section
@@PeterAngles-xu7tl Harley-Davidson has never declared bankruptcy.
@Peter Angles That's why they're still here regardless. Same as Jeep. No matter how jelous you feel or hate about the brands, they are here to stay FOREVER. All companies will go with some issues financially, obviously you're not into bussines and allowing your emotions handle your weak mind and negative perspective. Thank God there still massive amount of people out there that are loyal and understand the spirit of these two brands. And Mr. Angles, get your facts straight.....this proves your hate and jelousy just to say some negative commments. You are Sir part of what is wrong in this world.
I have a 2022 without rdrs. It was not mandatory
Yes I was referring to 2023 now if you order from factory you can opt out but if you get one from the dealer it’s an option they push on us
@@DeterminedVeteran they definitely push it. If I was a salesman I guess I would too for an extra grand...
I got a 2023 at 1.99% financing through Eagle Mark.
Swing and miss. Has anyone else ran it to dealers that when you ask how much is that motorcycle out the door. They give you a price range. It reminds me of used car dealerships trying to screw you over.
You can buy an Indian chief for less money than a new Sportster so I may have to switch brands
Both of mine are paid off now I just need to do some more customizing
It’s a good feeling to have the titles in hand for sure !
@@DeterminedVeteran oh yea. Trying to reduce overhead and advance other plans but dang there are so many options. The only things I really want to do is upgrade my radio and speakers and handlebars
Get with sinister sound and tab Perfomance just came out with Folsom bars
Both companies support my build and channel
@@DeterminedVeteran oh I definitely like sinister and tab
I just watched a video on new Harley prices, and how long some are financed for.
It's ridiculous, considering what you're getting for your money.
What you're getting is a cookie cutter, mass produced, everybody has one, cheaply made machine that probably won't even be around in 15-20 yrs.
Guys used to buy Harleys with the intention of keeping them forever, as an heirloom to be passed down to sons, something I don't think is even possible with these new machines.
Buy an old shovel or Evo, rebuild it like new for a fraction of what a new Harley costs, and keep it forever.
Great Video DV
what's good ? Haven't seen you in the comment section in a min...
@Determined Veteran yea, life ya know. Going through some end of life things with my dad...work travel has been out of hand, haven't even unwrapped the bike yet for the year.
Good to see you back with some regular content, ill get back ti a regular watcher hahah!
Love ya DV

Awesome
BIG swing and a MISS. I'M very happy with my 21 Road Glide Special and I'm slowly making it my own.
Right on! Got to make it your own for damn sure
Well it took me one second to decide not buying one
Big swing and a miss! New subscriber here from a post you make on facebook. I love all Harley bike but i agree more could be done. My gripe would be the suspension on my 2021 rgs. Its shit and for 28k i feel it should have a much better suspension.
Amen my friend ! Like minds think alike …. Hope to see you again in the comment section on an upcoming video
I have been thinking about purchasing an HD Road Glide Special. Definitely not a new one... unless I find a crazy good deal on one. I've seen 2023's for as high as 40k just for an RG Special!!! No thank you!!!
Higher than a giraffe’s pu$$y on stilts no thank you !
think everything since 2020 has been a miss thus far. I've got a 2020 RGS Red Patriot Edition and it's going to take something awfully special to get me to upgrade
Patriot edition you’ll fit in nicely here on the channel !
I think the return of the Breakout is a big deal! I think Harley-Davidson needed that bike! I bought one a couple weeks ago and it’s sick af!
The breakout for this year looks good I can’t even lie
Big swing and a miss...FOR SURE.... I feel like it gets beat worse than a dead horse, but no reason MoCo should be releasing motorcycles without LEDS all around and/or even adding more lighting to the motorcycles. I went to HD's 115th anniversary party...that was a great time.
Preach on brother !
Big Swing and a Miss. RG3 is awesome that and the Breakout!
Oh yeah the breakout looks killer
Big swing and a miss. Great video. Thank you. I love my 22 road glide ST.
Nailed it ! 2022 was a great year for HD !
@@DeterminedVeteran agreed!
@@DeterminedVeteran Yup, I purchased a 2022 Heritage end of September
Big swing and a miss ! Dude I love my Ohlins set up ! Hopefully I can win the headlight
Me too dude !
Big swing and a miss! U know where I stand and the switch that I made last year. I can't stand how much harley iis charging for their motorcycles and u have to upgrade nearly everything.
Anyone who finances a motorcycle today with these interest rates have rocks in their head. While Harley's are the best looking motorcycles and i currently own 3, 2021 Street Glide, 2009 Rocker C and my wife has a 2009 Tri Glide so im not trying to bash the brand; however, Harley's are pricey as it is and financing a new or used one at 7.5% and up makes for a big payment.
Luckily i didnt finance any of mine but for the most part, a very large percentage of people do finance and they usually buy more bike than they need or want but because they are preaproved, they spend more then when you add in 7.5% or more its a big payment. Im not in the market, but if they come out with a Street Glide with a liquid cooled engine, its going to be hard to pass up
Right on I also had a Rocker C back in the day ! Thx for tuning in … hope to see you again in a future upload
Big swing and a miss at least until they reveal the New CVO’s 🤔 Only thing I liked this year is the breakout but not enough to consider.
For me it was the RG3 I’m going to Milwakee in July , would be great if you wanted to ride as well ! Saturday I’m going to an event in MA and would love to hang out
@@DeterminedVeteran Won’t be going In July but we will definitely plan something this riding season for sure now that weather is getting better
Right on if you change your mind about this weekend HMU the more the merrier
I would love a new Indian over a new Harley but Indian doesn't have good finance options for those with credit damage.
💪🏻💪🏻
But but but but...can I still buy a size 68XXX Extra Fat tee shirt?
BWAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA
😂😂😂😂😂
Big swing and a miss. I do like the 120th Anniversary paint job, but I’ll keep my ‘22 midnight crimson/black SGS.
Hey what’s good ? How is the family ? I haven’t seen you in the comment section in a hot minute of course I was gone most of last year
@@DeterminedVeteran all is good. Spent the winter getting some upgrades done and became a grandfather, which still doesn’t make me feel old.

😮
New CEO is ruining HD.
That’s an entire video in itself
Everyone says the Pan America and the Lowrider ST are the best bikes Harley has ever made to date.
It’s like you were assigned to make a negative video and this is all you could come up with. 2020 was first year for good oil pump , last year for hydraulic clutch. 21 had Snake Venom paint. Diablo st in 22, the Breakout in 23 which is awesome. And the anniversary bikes are crazy awesome. Man what are you smoking ??These new bikes are bad ass , period. These are great years for Harley !! None of your video made much sense !!
Not that I debate people but you simply didn’t watch the video you pick thru segments and came out with this comment
God bless man ride safe
@@DeterminedVeteran thank you , you too.
BiG swing and a miss! HD talks about getting younger riders, but their costs are prohibitive!
😎👍
What’s good ? How is the family ?
Brother there all over priced 👍 👍 👍 🇺🇸
If Harley changed these bikes as often as people want, they would be a lot more expensive then they are currently. Be careful what you wish for.
No different than any other manufacturers
Owned Harleys 20 years. Will probably never buy another. GW DCT is the game changer Harley is light years away from. Even Indian is ahead in features for less money.
I’m not ready to go to another brand yet … I suppose in a few years once Vader is long in the tooth I’ll buy an Indian and keep Vader
I'm glad you found a bike you like . I'm not a fan of tech on a bike so I hope Harley stays light years behind them.
Those “photos” are horseshit. At least not as 2023 models. They’ve already released a 2023 Roadglide CVO, and it was expensive as hell. There’s no way they’re releasing a redesigned model after they released that. Those are either completely photoshopped pics, or they’re Indian models photoshopped onto a Harley body. Btw, RDRS is not mandatory.
We shall see eventually on those “leaked photos” as far as pricing they are insane … HD is definitely not the motorcycle for the working man anymore
Swing and miss These Harleys are def getting out of control and I hope those new cvo models don’t make it down to all the bikes they look like a f$$$ space machine
Free Stuff Rules
Well it’s a way to give back
@@DeterminedVeteran absolutely

@DeterminedVeteran a brother of mine has a killer Challenger. Man they are freaking quick!
I would have gone to Indian but they won't give me a fair price on my FLHXS LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Soooooo I'm stuck with this hunk of junk.

@@DeterminedVeteran They were mostly dull, washed out and uncool ugly colors. Harley needs to get someone in their design department with some creative taste!!
Guess I’m a dinosaur
@@DeterminedVeteran Would love some of the older colors to come back around. Colors with depth and history
Harley fanboys, it’s time you faced the music. Harley-Davidson does not give two shits about what you think they should do. They never have. If they did you wouldn’t see their big selling bikes come off the production line with halogen anything. They wouldn’t make you pay $50k for a CVO just to have factory remote locking bags. Cruise control and ride modes wouldn’t be novelty features and only on certain bikes. The list goes on and on. Harley has been charging premium prices for basic features for years now. No other motor vehicle manufacturer that markets itself as a luxury brand does this. Take Cadillac for example, the base model may not have all the bells and whistles but it’s got more bells and whistles than a base model Honda civic. The only reason they keep doing that is because you brand loyal people will buy it anyways, complain about it, then make excuses for it. And then go spend thousands on Harley addons and/or aftermarket parts to bring the bike up to the 21st century with all the rest of Harley’s competitors. So until their laziness hurts their pockets, expect the same old “new and exciting colors” rebranding every year.
But to be fair doesn’t every manufacturer do that ? Case in point 6th Camaro and Mustang S550 ? Thankfully the Mustang will get a major overhaul in 2024 with the S650
So buy something else then. Harley-Davidson does make anyone buy their products. They are popular because people like them and therefore choose to spend their money on their products.
