  • Wrigley Field debuted with a new look in 1989. There was a new press box, a new suite level --- and lights! The season marked the first with night games at Wrigley for a full year. Steve Stone opens with the Leadoff Man show, featuring player introductions. Then Harry Caray joins in with his usual brilliance. No score after two innings. More to come.

The Cubs lineup was stacked this year. Even more so once they started playing Dwight Smith.

Idk how Walton got ROY over Smith. Dwight's #s were better across the board but uhhh... I guess Jerome started more?

Will Clark killed us that series, though Mark Grace tried valiantly to keep us in it. Incredible season.
