There are very less youtubers who provide good geology content .. please continue making good geology videos to help those who want to learn the subject.
I am currently taking my first ever geology course online and this video was so immensely helpful in my understanding of igneous rocks as a whole, thank you!
I am currently taking a Geology 100 course ( my knowledge is limited and at time embarrassing ) When it came time to discuss Bowen's Reaction Series, I was lost. Your video allowed me to understand this Series beyond that of my expectations. Thank you so much!
I'm studying to be an Earth Science teacher and these videos help out a lot. Thank you for making them. I love the term you constantly use "likes to party with".
You just got yourself another sub! Found your "Introduction to volcanology" on Facebook shared by Learning Geology. I'm glad you're still active making new content. Keep up the good work...and yay for volcanoes! (making "soft rock" badass since the Archean)
This was immensely helpful thank you very much! I'm currently writing a lab on Rocks and Soils and The Bowen's Reaction Series just happened to be something that I needed to include.
Thanks! It's pretty nice for what I need. I talk about almost all of my filming and comp specs in this video on my vlog! th-cam.com/video/BjscLkvanNY/w-d-xo.html
just wondering if quartz that is very "Vuggy" would be considered as coming from an old dormant volcano. The creek behind my house is loaded with "Vuggy" quartz.
You know, I'm not sure. I spent some time looking around, and it seems like that is one way that you could have quartz that is vuggy, but you can also get it a lot in rocks that have had some acid dissolution (simply freeing up space for the quartz to grow more) I love that you've found some cool geology right at your house!
After graduating with a masters in bio and being accepted for a PhD study in geology and having to take all these undergrad classes before I can begin my study, I have to say, you seem super smart and your videos have really helped me out. The guy that wifes you will be super lucky...
The disjointed nature of this video, in which each sentence seems to have been recorded separately, and spliced together, is REALLY distracting and annoying.

I'm glad you find them helpful! I'm definitely going to keep going :)

btw what exactly is a "melt"? Is it another term for lava or magma flow?
