Successful first transparency print all thanks to this video! Insanely helpful! Im a beginner still and this just opened up a world of possibilities. Time to go print!
This video is what i want to watch for a long-loooong time, and i never find it before i come in this channel, Thank u very much for ur video :), hope u can make more videos like this one on the future.
Corey, love the learning you are sharing… i took a drawing that i undersized and used this method and will be putting it to the screen print test, keep ‘em coming !! Thnx
This is a FABULOUS video! I make my own screens occasionally (ie: I don’t have fancy equipment lol) and I KNEW there had to be a better way to utilize Procreate for this task. I learned a few new tricks with Procreate as well as how to adjust my printer for better settings. Thanks so much!!
I found this video and it really helped me to figure out something since I work my arts only with procreate. Can you please do more video about screen print using procreate, please 🥹🙏🏾
This helped me so much! I got asked to create a design for an event and then learned that I need to create it as screen print. After my panic attack, I found your channel. This video is so clean and well organized. Great tutorial and I learned so much. I feel less nervous about taking this on now. And huge props to your witness. Stopped the vid to look up Romans 6:16. 👍 Well done! Thanks again!!
This is great! Thank you so much! I know very little about multi color screen printing, and so I’m wondering how those registration marks are actually used while printing? How do you prevent ink from printing at the marks, because the registration marks are on your final screen. This may be a dumb question, but anyway, just curious … Would you consider a video of you actually printing, to show the process?
I’m new to both screen printing and procreate and this video literally just saved me from having to learn to use another app. Thank you so much! Now I can do this entire process on my own 🙏🏽
Thanks so much for the tutorial... the only thing that didn't work for me was changing to 13 by 19 inches ... for some reason, when I tried to open it on adobe capture, the resolution was lower. I'm gonna keep watching videos and learning as muuuchhh as I can. Also looking how to get designs from procreate to illustrator
The thing that determines how many layers you need is how many colors you want to use. Screen printing requires a new layer for every color you want to lay down to complete the design. They have to make a new screen for every new color because you can’t print multiple colors on one screen unless you want them to come out as a gradient rather than distinct different colors.
It really doesn’t have to be vector right? As long as the resolution is high enough and you make it to the size you want printed? I still use illustrator but I got an iPad and really prefer drawing and inking in raster vs in illustrator on my Wacom. Whenever I try to image trace it just never comes out as good as the original no matter how much I fiddle with the settings :(
Do you have any info on how to prepare a photo with halftones for screen printing on procreate? I know procreate has a built in half ton effect but I feel like that is not really adequate for screen printing. I’m kinda new but determined to figure this out. Thank you !
We are using 13x19 in. because that is the size of the transparencies for the printer we are using in this video. I’m not sure why you have less layers. It could have to do with the specs on your iPad. We are using a base model iPad Pro.
Thank you so much for doing all the research, i my self don't have all these programs or the money for them, so this is definitely a big help. You are very appreciated. Just subscribed 🙏🏼
Two magic words brought me here : Procreate and screen printing. I'm a beginner on both. Thanks a lot for your advices !
Happy to help!

Here is a video that we did that talks about multicolor registration pretty clearly. th-cam.com/video/MBAwqqB6gEU/w-d-xo.html
@@GoldenPressStudio much appreciated, thank you 👌🏻

Super helpful, really clear and beginner-friendly :) Thank you!
Awesome video thank you! Can anyone point me in the direction of the ruler download? I’m not finding it !!
Thanks! The download is the first link in the description!
I found the registration marks but I don’t see the ruler either.
@@thebirdartistscottage Found the ruler and registration mark are on the same download, first link.👍🏼
Is there a reason you have to share it as a pdf? Does a png work?
So out of curiosity do you happen to know if I still need the registration marks if Im going through the printify site?
Not familiar with printify
That was full of information THANK U ❤
I have a question what if it is a one color print ? Do the other steps of coloring in become unnecessary
Yep you got it!
Thank you so much for this video!
Glad to help!!
hello, thank you for this video we want more: D
good day to the team
If you’re using a screen printing service, would that cut the steps down and layers?
The thing that determines how many layers you need is how many colors you want to use. Screen printing requires a new layer for every color you want to lay down to complete the design. They have to make a new screen for every new color because you can’t print multiple colors on one screen unless you want them to come out as a gradient rather than distinct different colors.
Awesome video dude 🤘
Thanks a ton!
How do I make sure my shadows and highlights I’ll show on design for prints merchandise.I can’t find this answer no where
I'm not totally sure what you are asking but maybe using halftones in Photoshop.
It really doesn’t have to be vector right? As long as the resolution is high enough and you make it to the size you want printed? I still use illustrator but I got an iPad and really prefer drawing and inking in raster vs in illustrator on my Wacom. Whenever I try to image trace it just never comes out as good as the original no matter how much I fiddle with the settings :(
Yeah I technically printed raster and it came out good. I also still primarily work with vector but I yeah, it works.
Is it possible to do halftone as well? Thanks for the tips!
We would NOT recommend doing that out of Procreate.
Do you have any info on how to prepare a photo with halftones for screen printing on procreate? I know procreate has a built in half ton effect but I feel like that is not really adequate for screen printing. I’m kinda new but determined to figure this out. Thank you !
Unfortunately, Procreate is not able to do this for Screenprinting. You will want to go the traditional route of setting this up in Photoshop.
Your website is not letting me download the free pencil set. Anyway you can help?
Thank you for the rulers! And the video
You bet! Thanks for watching!
Bro. Thank you SOOOOO much for this one!
How did you get the guidelines on the top and left hand side? PLEASEEEEEE

Thank you - exactly what I needed 💯🙌
Where can I get a ruler template like the one in the beginning of this video?
First link in the description.
loved this! I’m a printer that has procreate on my iPad Pro and I don’t want to use illustrator 😅
Talking printers? What humbug!
Which Color profile u use ?
@@kullenberg😂 im sure he meant it as a profession
Could this technique be used for screen printed transfers?
Yeah I think that would work.
Dope! Thanks for taking the time to run through the process. Appreciate the info! :fistbump:
Why 13x19? When I do that I only get 8 layers at 300dpi not 20. Is that a recommended size?
We are using 13x19 in. because that is the size of the transparencies for the printer we are using in this video. I’m not sure why you have less layers. It could have to do with the specs on your iPad. We are using a base model iPad Pro.
Where did you get your apple pencil cover?
I don't really remember where I got that to be honest.
I’ve just downloaded the brushes into my iPad but it doesn’t look like there’s anything in the zip file…
