      Hi Charley, thank you so much for this!!! I’ve been looking for something like this for ages! 😊 can you do this with something that has different layers? Such as colour?

      Good video, can you transfer it and keep the Color in it or do you need to bring it in as a b and w only?

    I love when a video does what the title says. This was clear and to the point without a lot of unecessary information, and really clearly demonstrated.

    Thanks, Charley. I find that it’s best to NOT resize the TIFF format file after bringing it into Illustrator as the image trace function captures more detail from the reference pixels of the image at the larger size. The image trace can essentially render more curves and detail points at the larger size. Once refined and rendered as vectors, you can then scale the new vector shapes down and more detail will be evident. Nice pace in your videos. So many others resort to snail pace instruction. Thanks!

      @@christieovalles5814 Basically, yes. It may take longer to render and such but the results have always been better, at least in my dealing with it.

    This video just completely saved me from having to redraw an artwork. I knew how to convert my image to vector, but I was using a png and it was coming out terrible. Using a TIFF gave back so much detail that was being removed from my drawing. THANK YOU!

    So is Sunday morning , I’m fixing breakfast for my daughter and I’m thinking at some point I’ll have to learn how to vectorize my procreate drawings next week.
    Next thing I know I’m watching this video and before my beautiful daughter ends her breakfast I know the basics of what I thought would be a hard learning process.
    You’re a natural born educator my friend.
    Muchas gracias for the amazing tutorial. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

    The Q is: why can't we get access to the vectors from inside ProCreate? Since it is recording each stroke

    • @RockinMouth
      @RockinMouth 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I believe it's because Procreate, by nature, is a raster based program. Meaning that you fill in pixels when you draw. Illustrator and other vector based programs use math in order to make shapes and paths, and that's what makes it truly high quality.

    I'm drawing them in separate pieces. After I am done, I'm planning on migrating it to Adobe illustrate and put them all together on one big sheet. Before I do that, How much Pixels and DPI should I be using while I'm drawing them separately?
