Omg!!! Congratulations 🥰 it may be a bit crazy but I’m watching your story from the start and only just heard your very special news ❤ I’ve shed some happy tears for you and will continue watching lol I wonder what other lovely surprises I’m going to discover before I have caught up ☺️ so happy for you both x
I compared your faces to the ones a year ago. You both look so more chilled and relaxed! Obviously you became professionals in sailing 🙂. Congratulations
Lovely video guys (As always!) Have to say I was looking at instagram the other day and wondering which insta model had been dropped into my feed before realising it was a very tanned Becka 🙂! Really looking forward to the Dazcat video! Love their boats (if only I could win the lottery!) Thanks again for sharing your adventures with us and I hope you had a nice trip home!
We loved the boat clean up, that's exactly what it is like. What an exciting year for you and just more to come. The videos just keep getting better. Keep them coming.
Again making me feel like a lazy live aboard.yet motivating.. wish I could make it to the boat show.but nose to the grindstone stacking cash to throw it into our Liberator..you got my vote at the boat show!!!
Thank you for the "feeling at home" atmosphere and the 'real' sailing experience. There were times one felt like actually being on board and sitting across the table from two amazing young sailors! Lastly the smiles from you both even in the rougher moments sets a standard as far as I am concerned! Do have an amazing time as an engaged couple with family and friends! For me it is hard to stop saying thank you!
Very nice to see you home and getting to enjoy so many things and reconnect with important people in your lives. You are right about how hard it is for parents to see their children go their separate ways. I'm not talking about moving out of the house, I'm talking across the world or a situation where you only get to see them for special occasions. Love you. Stay safe. ❤🙏
I got family near milbrook yard, so I’ve seen those boats . Those sit on cats are fast until you turn one over . A yacht catamaran is another kettle of water . 3x the speed of a mono hull , short masted to make it more difficult to turn over . Not as safe in heavy seas as a mono hull , but so much more room inside .
Hi Teulu. Great to see the aerial shot of the River Tamar and the Marina. Those two chandlery stores are new to me. The only one I knew about, was on the Barbican, next door to The Dolphin Hotel, on Southside Street. Just been looking on Google Earth and it's no longer there, but it was only a small shop and that was 30 years ago. I know just how much Plymouth has changed since I left in 1995. I've been back there a couple of times since and it had changed significantly on both occasions. I'm told by friends who live there, that I wouldn't recognize much of it these days, due to all the 'improvements'; especially on Coxside and the City Centre. I trust you enjoyed your visits to family and friends. Russ. Portsmouth.
Oo haven’t seen that one! Those two are our faves. It must have changed tonnes since then, maybe next week will give you a proper blast from the past 😀
Is Ken's Kebab Housestill going in Portsnouth by any chance ? Loved their Belly Buster Kebabs so much used to travel from West Wales to stock up the freezer. Fingers crossed. Best Wishes. Bob in Wales. 👍⛵️✨️✨️✨️❤
@@brownnoise357 Which one are you talking about, as there are/were three of them? Looking on Google Earth, they now appear to be called Ken's Speedy Pizza. I don't actually live in Pompey, but in Havant and rarely venture into Portsmouth. I hope this info is useful to you. I always say Portsmouth, as for most people, Havant is easier to find on a map. Russ.

House keeping, weather you are on a yacht or a motorhome (like me) traveling this wide brown land or just in a house, once a year it’s good to do a stock take of everything you carry, it’s next level on a yacht theo, going back to home to the UK interesting feeling, not for me though to many bad memories, looking forward to seeing Teulu all decked out with all the new gear.
It’s so good to do that, and a good clean! Being in a boat yard, everything gets so dusty! It was so nice going back to the UK, although saw it through a very different set of eyes ☺️
That's the way you get to know your boat. We have an 80s timber boat and love it. We will cruise the Australian coast next year so exciting. Boats are hard work but it's a lifestyle that land can't beat. Fishing crabbing exploring the world turtle and dolphins are so cool❤
@@TeuluTribe Absolutely not, it's a stunning sailing vessel! One of its greatest features is the ability to retrofit it with modern components while maintaining a hull that is more robust than most contemporary vessels. Today, you can even 3D (steel, titanium, superalloys, copper, and carbon fiber filaments) print many SV components directly on your sailing vessel, something worth looking into. The only problem I have with 3D printing on a SV is the added waste material to haul to shore.
Wow Sailor, congratulations on the engagement. You are a great couple I would like to be your Paton but maybe some day weh finances are better. Enjoy and remember to always keep on going
You guys are working too hard on the bilges. I have a pump up garden sprayer. I fill it with hot water, lots of bleach and pine-sol. Open the locker or bilge, spray it around, close the door and go to the main bilge. Let it all soak, and pump it out. I also just came on another product I was told kills mold and hangs around to prevent it. "Wet and Forget". Can't rate it yet, but the source was an experienced sail maker. Works on sails, I am told. Love you guys.
Good suggestion. No mould in our bilges at the moment, just grime from where they have been sat wet for so long, but not for much longer. Project Dry Bilge 1.0 is in full flow 😀
I was just thinking if you had left your solar panel plugged on and your boat powered up, then you could have had a dehumidifier plug in and getting a lot of moisture out of the air inside your boat, this is all to reduce the mold. Surely that would save you work cleaning any mold when you get back to your boat, or am I missing something?
The Aruba climate is incredibly dry and hot, and it barely ever rains so we have 0 moisture of mould in the boat, so this wasn’t an issue- one of the reasons we picked here 😀
With your shopping for boat bits, would it have been better for the VAT to get the shop to post the bits to your boat? A few years ago I lived in Switzerland and I was buying loads of DVD's from the German Amazon shop (Swiss TV is awful). Germany had 19% VAT and because the DVD's were leaving Germany the VAT was subtracted. If I bought more than about 200 Euros of DVD's then the Swiss customs would add 5% importation tax to it. So I was getting 14% reduction on my DVD's because I was buying them over the border.
You would expect to, but the postal charges in the Caribbean are so high, it worked out cheaper for us to get them in the UK and take them back by case ☺️
You do speak funny sometimes Ensign is pronounced Ensen that's ok remember me router not rooter hahaha. Hope you enjoy being back in Blighty for awhile Cheers.

I really like to watch videos about living on sailing vessels. I already watch different channels and I thought I found another one. But unfortunately I'm at max able to understand 50% of what this woman is saying. Talking fast and with a dialect isn't really helpful. Ergo: Bye bye after 6.35 min. Bit off topic but I really enjoyed seeing the radiation from the X-ray machine hitting your Gopro image sensor. Had to watch that a few times.

I am very, very Lucky ☺️
Love these lil shops. If you come to St Augustine FL check out sailors exchange!!
Oo that sounds a place right up our street!
After doing all these repairs and upgrades on an 80s sailboat, do you ever regret not buying a newer boat that was ready to go?
Never, if anything, the longer we sail our boat, the more we are happier with our decision. A strong, well built boat, just how we want her 😀
A modern boat would never be as strong as an 80s boat, they don't build them like that anymore!! She's rock sold :)

Just an FYI for the future( if you don't have lithium batteries then nevermind). You should store your lithium at around 50% for battery health.
We have AGMs at the moment but upgrading soon 😀
