  • Ben More dominates Crianlarich and the road east, an enormous green pyramid offering no obvious easy approaches; the ascent is unrelenting. Its near neighbour Stob Binnein is often regarded as its twin, but this more retiring summit is actually the finer of the two peaks, a graceful cone above its supporting ridges.

This was the best example of the two munros I've seen on TH-cam for the following reason. I'm doing these soon and I've been watching other youtube videos to see where the descent path is as other folk have said you can take another path that skirts round the face of Ben More. I know have a better understanding of the route you guys took off which is exactly what I wanted. Thanks very much for this.

Glad it was helpful. The route was very boggy in places from what I remember, but imagine it would’ve dried up a good bit in this current weather!

Really enjoyed watching this Robert with your West Highland Way troops. I have passed these mountains many times on the way to Fort William and Mallaig. Ben More looks really steep just shows how fit all of you are. I would say worse than Ben Nevis.

Yeah it was definitely a steep one but fairly quick ascent because of that. Thanks for watching 🙂

Great vid buddy. And poor Kevin I bet he was absolutely fumin about his noodles 🤣 Shame I'm not still in the uk as it would be cool to do some hikes together man. Maybe a trip over to ibiza could be an idea I know loads of hikes over and some cool camping spots too
