Magene HR monitor is crap. I use it for three months and it started to show bpm even if I put it on the table. And when I am in calm mode and put monitor on my chest, it shows 110 bpm. I don't recommend.
Sorry to hear yours didn’t work out. I’m sure there are lemons in every product. So far I’ve been lucky and I’ve been pleased with the performance with using it 3 times a week. I just make sure to rinse it with water and dry it off after every use
Mine also failed and displayed crazy numbers after only four months. I just contacted the vendor Magene fitness store on AliExpress and there is no warranty and no return policy. Plus you can no longer leave or modify your comment!!!! What a coincidence that it fails directly after the end of Ali express buyer protection! And no way to warn people. I only paid 17€ but if it falls every four months that's 68€ per year forever. Not a good deal and extremely inconvenient not to mention wasteful.
Thank you for watching! I don't believe this supports swimming since it's got an IP67 waterproof rating. I haven't used any for swimming so I can't provide a recommendation unfortunately.
@@zaahierstanley955 so far things have been okay with mine. I’ve been rinsing it with water and drying it after every use. No issues yet and I use it about 3 times a week
Proprietary shape of the strap (I'm referring to the plastic ends, they are oddly shaped) makes them non-replaceable, i.e. you can't buy a 3rd-party replacement. Big no-no for me
Honestly the price difference to a Garmin Dual HR is pretty marginal ($36 vs $50) that I just wouldn't bother at this price point. If it was $20, maybe it's worthwhile

Good content! Does the Magene H603 support swimming heart rate monitoring? If not do you have one you can recommend?

I biught this a while back. It stopped working and when i looked it was rusting inside
Where was it rusting? Inside the battery compartment?
@@henrychungfitness that's correct

How to connect it to Strava? It does not show up.
Great video Henry! How does H603 compare to H303? The price is close to double for the H603. The specs seem the same so what's the difference?
@@ivanyhtang unfortunately I can’t comment on the H303 as I haven’t tested it. If it’s newer though I’m assuming it’s a good option 👍
@@henrychungfitness thanks, I'm not sure which one is newer but I'll try to find out

I’ve tried putting the heart rate monitor in a generic strap and it works. So technically it’s compatible with other straps 🤷♂️
Do u know if the magene H64 is able to show real time HR on any mobile phone app?
@@jesslynq608 it probably can connect to the Magene app or OnelapFit app and it’ll show you real time HR, but I’m not sure if it’ll record the data
Hi! Does it auto disconnect the moment we stopped our workout (via our watch)?
Yes it does. I’ve been using it for 4-5 days a week and it’s still going strong
Oh alright and to connect we just got to wet the inner strap and connect via the watch right?
@@rachellee2303 honestly I find I don’t have to wet the strap. I just put it on and it connects to my Garmin watch

That’s a fair point. Here in Canada it’s more than double the price for a Garmin Dual HR at $99CAD
Hallo mister, what about now? Is it still can used?
It’s still working great with no dropouts. I make sure to rinse it with water and dry it off after every session 👍
@@henrychungfitness how many connection Bluetooth can be used?
@@ebohutomo I’m not entirely sure sorry. I usually just connect it to my computer while Zwifting or my Garmin 935 watch while running/cycling outdoors
@@henrychungfitness thanks mister. Maybe you can compare with other HR monitors like polar h10 or garmin.
@@ebohutomo I’ll definitely be sure to compare them if I ever get my hands on one 👍
this is absolute sh**, my megane megane h603 stopted wring in 3 month... no refund no fix
Sorry to hear, mine’s still going strong though
