      Hello Kashaunie,
      I actually wasn’t able to fit direct fit speaker mounts for the door speakers. I ended up modifying and using the original speaker mounts which was not the easiest to do; I would recommend finding some 6.5” speaker mounts and taking your time to get them snug and flush. The door speakers on this Acura can be quiet a challenge but take your time and have fun as it is a great hobby.

    You did all that work and didn't add sound deadner inside the door??? Would made you door speakers sound 3x better with a tight kick too the Bass and deeper vocal range. I've done this to all of my vehicles. Even did it to a scion once with stock speakers and it sounded 10 times better. My Friends thought installed aftermarket speakers when all I did was add sound deadner inside and behind the speaker, also to any open whole or open areas of the door behind the Panel. The door became a huge sealed enclosure. Bass from the 6.5 inch stock speakers had my rear view mirror vibrating. That should tell you something. Take out the deadner/ Boom Mat and it doesn't do any of that.

      Hello @The M Man, thank you for the tip and I agree with you because in my personal vehicle I got sound deadener all around my vehicle. In this situation the customer was looking to replace his speakers and add a subwoofer to his car. He was on a budget and although I did recommend he get some sound-deadener he did not want to invest in some. I like not to force products on my clients but I do my best to give them the info needed to make their own personal choices.
      Thank you for the tip and your support.

    How much for adapters ? And can I just cut the cable and run it like that

    • @synaudio9778
      @synaudio9778  ปีที่แล้ว

      They are currently priced at $89.99, and yes, you can strip back a cable and run it that way.

    Are you able to keep the dash tweeters working with the coaxial door speakers?

    • @synaudio9778
      @synaudio9778  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello @Trevon Stewart
      Yes, the dash tweeters will not be affected be replacing the original door speakers with the coaxial door speakers. I’m actually quite impressed by the stock tweeters the Acura had.

    • @trevonstewart3636

      @@synaudio9778 exactly why I want to keep them. I blew my door speakers after I installed a amp. I’m replacing them but I’m pretty sure the wiring is connected to the door speakers wiring right? So when I upgrade the speakers they will be in series.

    • @synaudio9778
      @synaudio9778  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Trevon Stewart
      To be honest I’m not exactly sure if they are wired in parallel since when I worked on my customers car, he had the original amp for mids and highs. If they are wired in series I believe the crossover on the the tweeters will keep them safe. You can always double check your wiring to be on the safe side.

      It was a one time experience for me working on that car. But like he mentioned be patient and don’t be scared to pry a little. If the trim has never been removed before it might be a little snug due to it being in place for a long time. You got this!

    Should of went with component speakers...

      Hey Carey, fortunately, I enjoy giving my customers the option to choose from various styles of door speakers and subwoofers while offering them suggestions for each item. For this customer, he chose to go with these speakers, and I am more than happy to use the speakers they choose after looking at costs and preferences. Thanks again for your feedback and understanding of different speakers since some viewers might go with component speakers.
      Thank you,

      What’s the difference?

    • @synaudio9778
      @synaudio9778  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Kashaunie, when you install midrange speakers, they only play a midrange frequency that the manufacturer specifies. On the other hand, the speakers you see in this video have built-in tweeters which play both midrange and high frequencies. The type of speakers are more budget-friendly and sound great as it plays a full range of medium to high frequencies. I would personally use midrange speakers and use tweeters separately to get the best sound quality and play music louder with no distortion.

    • @Jaydogg209
      @Jaydogg209 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. I made the mistake of choosing those also but I’m sending them back and bought a component set instead. Coaxial speakers aren’t meant to push bass because the sound distorts at high volume through the tweeter because it’s all one unit. The 2004 accord is similar and has tweeters in the front dash. So next I’m either buying kick panel enclosures to add more 6.5s or I will mount these tweeters in my door so il have two sets of tweeters or I could just wait to Instal them because I have some already in the dash.

    • @synaudio9778
      @synaudio9778  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Jaydog209,
      I would personally recommend using component speakers as I’ve had the best results and clarity from that style of speakers. On the Acura the front tweeters were sounds loud and clear I was actually impressed with the stock tweeters holding up for this many years. Those extra tweeters on your doors would only make your setup sound better.
