I still don't understand how corruptions went from Mario stretching into the sky with music playing at unfathomably high decibels to full blown ytps and machinimas
Modern corruption are manually tweaked, classic ones are more chaotic.
@@IDHLEB o
people now know which part of the game to push to make it do the funny things, so now some of them spend months to reach the effect they need
Because Ircluzar is a goddamn dictator. I say that jokingly, by the way.
It leads to good results and forces people to get better and make submissions of better quality, but the corruption development server is overbearing. That's how we end up with stuff like this, though.
@@IDHLEB so they're basically romhack shitposts?
Great ending to the corruptions stream
"Six missiles coming from the left"
"Here it comes!"
Game deletes itself
Peppy nodding in the background right before the crash. He welcomed death.
The fact that Andross launched six missiles at coneria while they were holding a ceremony is actually genius
“If I go down, I’m taking you with me!”
The fact that they were like "We'll gladly take this one" and "Nice!" is what sold me, honestly... ROB64 tried to warn them about the incoming assault, but they decided to die rather than living with their PTSD.
Miyamoto's name popping up as the game dies is a fairly accurate portrayal of where the Star Fox series currently is.
LOL!
LOL!
LOL!
LOL!
LOL!
"You're becoming more like your father"
Oh my lord, lmao
Congratulations you went from *you’re becoming more like your father* to
*You have became your father*
and on that day, they realized the war was not over
Wait, the 6 missiles weren't supplies, they were on their way to destroy corneria!
Perfect is putting it lightly, holy crap it could not have been better timed.
Also seeing the character voice credits makes me sad now. Rest in Peace Rick May.
Forever the best Peppy Hare
@@FurryMcMemes he also voiced Andross. And I think General Pepper as well?
@@paperluigi6132 and the tf2 soldier
Also that one guy from sly Cooper
The Star Fox universe's equivalent of 9/11
Slippy turn on the TV THEY HIT THE PENTAGON!
A second Arwing has hit the towers
@@scootaluigi9381 Turn on your Rob64 doesn't matter what Rob
Smart Bombs don't melt Arwings, Corneria was an inside job, Starfox is the devil

In case anyone wants a sort of simplistic explanation on the changes to corruptions over the years, think of older corruptions as using an explosive and newer ones as using a sniper rifle. The old ones just hit whatever code they can for a random effect while the new ones are pinpointed at specific parts of the code in an attempt to control the resulting effect. If you prefer the older ones, then good on you, you enjoy the chaos that comes from not knowing what could happen, even if the results end up similarly. Like Vinny's pointed out, though, there's only so many times you can get "clown vomit", "Satan", and "the character turns pink and dies" before the novelty wears off. The newer ones having more possibilites as a result of being able to control what gets affected is what'll keep corruptions fresher than shrimp.
that’s an excellent way to describe it.
"Fresher than shrimp"
They indeed, just arrive
"fresher than shrimp"
I understood that reference (I was not around for that time of the game being streamed)
The nice thing about the RTC is that using it as a shotgun is really easy, so if you want more classic-style corruptions you can make ‘em yourself
@@whee2390 I like using the Blast Generator alongside Glitch Harvest to skim over addresses of different corruption domains, then I can find out that, say, between addresses 90000-A0000 produces funny things, then I make a VMD of that address range and start blasting it with the Nightmare engine.
The juxtaposition of Shigeru Miyamoto's name coming up right as the game goes apeshit like it's some Starfox themed analog horror is what sent my sides into orbit.
I love how you see the absolute last frame of Fox’s pixels being blasted into oblivion before everything just crashes.
When Shigeru Miyamoto name popped on screen as everything blew up from the six corruption missiles I clapped
Bravo Vince

"Master Chief, do you mind telling me what you're doing on that ship?"
"Sir, six missiles coming from the left"
If Starfox was made by Rare and you quit the game.
...Stat Fox Adventures?
@@Hardrian_Hardrada_Cicero He's talking about how in Banjo-Kazooie or DK64 you get a game over cutscene when you quit the game. Especially in DK because K.Rool just freaking shoots his laser at the island.
This is genuinely great and all, but anybody else get genuinely sad when they saw Rick May's name in the credits?
Godspeed, you magnificent MAGGOT!

@@alanbareiro6806 that medic is LOUD AND UGLY
I didn't even know he voiced Peppy Hare. This was a surprise for me for sure.
Not really. Never been one to get attached to people I don't know.
@@implord4197 well, Rick May's the voice actor of Peppy, but also of Soldier from TF2. He died of COVID back when the pandemic was still new to the world, fans and Valve themselves have honored him, and his death still hits hard.
"six missiles coming from the left"
"here it comes! :("
Don't stop believin'
Hold on to that feelin'
Streetlights, people
Don't stop-
Fox didn't get to enjoy his Onion Rings 😢
Everyone died. The end!
Returning to the title screen.
I couldn't believe how amazing those star fox corruptions were. I hope we see more in the future, since I'm already imagining more hilarious voice line ones.
Maybe they were celebrating the end of the war a bit too early.
No Lucas
*They were celebrating the missiles*
This is like the end of a Star Fox movie, where the final fight involves the award ceremony being blown up by a missile
i blame fox.
“Hey Einstein there’s still more missiles”
The current state of starfox atm.
It's as if they were looking forward to it.
Confirmed: Miyamoto was behind it all.
HERE IT COMES!!
*DEAD*
CORNERIA FELL
Dang Andross destroyed them post mortem
"Nice welcome!" **nod**
Here it comes! :D
It's so stupidly simple as it swapped the ending dialogue for Sector Z and yet the timing of Fox's "Here it comes!" just leaves me in tears.
*HERE IT COMES*
I fell to my knees laughing when this happened

Beautiful
Well, that was a cursed corruption never heard from that before
Finish StarFox 64 with low karma and unlock the bad ending where Fox goes rogue and destroys Corneria in a suicide missile attack.
Rick may worked on star fox!?!? Tf2’s very own soldier!
Yes, he was the voice of Peppy Hare.
Yes! And engie is Wolf in Assault.
Enemy approaching from the left.
Six missile coming from the left.
“This twisted game needs to be reset”
That's what V2 is for
Incoming missile strike find a fallout shelter immediately!!
I mean, the missiles hit.
Hmm yes star fox 64 Corruptions bad ending
At what point does it stop being a corruption and just turn into a mod
When the ROM/disc dump used is modified.
HINT: Modern corruptions do not work this way, they edit the _live memory_ of the emulated console.
@@Wryyyong live modding, it's not really corrupting when you tell it what to do, that's more like arbitrary code execution but with outside software
@@arzfan29 Not exactly. You aren't doing precision-cut memory edits directly with RTCV. All "blasts" are still generated randomly, you still need to give it a general range to target (eg. which memory domain). But you also have a lot more options to fiddle with on the exact behaviour of _how_ it'll modify the memory (ie. do you want it to randomize random values? do you want it to freeze random values? do you want to "bind" one value to another?), as well as the "intensity" of said blast, among quite a few other options and QoL features.
If you want a better idea of what I'm talking about, there's a good lot of documentation on the Corruption wiki for you to read:
corrupt \. wiki \/ rtcv \/ rtc \/ introduction
(pardon the weirdly-formatted link, but if I link the page directly the comment gets caught in the spam filter)
This could literally lead into Starfox 2 tho as well
>Clipped by Piboom
Boy I'll say
Isn't this the Fight Club ending for China?
I need context.
how does a "corruption" do this
Shigeru has passed
He died how he lived
Artistically
Damn, you almost created a haiku. Just needed two more syllables in row two
I kinda miss the old, truely random corruptions. Corruptions are now like modding.Let randomness and chaos be the comedian, not some guy from reddit.
Still not as funny as the "Hey Beavis, pull my finger" one.
