I’ve been using this block for about two months and I love it! Whether it’s snow here in Colorado or dry high desert it works well! I highly recommend it. I have a 21 foot travel trailer that I’m using it with and I have a round jack that fits perfectly in it. I also recommend going to Amazon and watching the product video! It’s hilarious!
Neat. I just have two 4x6s that I routed a slot in. The slots make them fit tightly on the tongue of the trailer, so they don't take up any storage space. The best part is that they were off cuts from another project, so they were free.
If I still had my travel trailer I would so get this. Cool that you got to support a cool school like this. Great review and I think that stach was totally real!
Thanks for the look into this product, I'm looking at buying a travel trailer in the coming weeks and am trying to get a feel of all the "necessary accessories" that I'll need to purchase, I'll add this to my list as a possible block option. Thanks again!
Your channel is the best out there, the info is very useful and well presented. Best thing though is you get right to it, most of the people think they are Martin Scorsese and have 2 minutes of introduction before they get to the topic. I would like to see a video of what to do with the different kinds of slide outs that won’t retract
We have a Class C RV so although we don't need the Ox Block, we watch ALL your videos because you present clear facts and trustworthy advice. We've learned SO much from you and look forward to each new video on your channel. Thanks for being you! Will you be at the RV Super Show in Tampa and, if so, when and where will you greet your subscribers?
Great review, I had to go watch their video. Like you said, a creative advertisement. Oh... I'm with you 90% sure mustache is fake. Again loved their ad.
I am looking for this type of product that WILL work for my 35’ FW with SnapPads on the metal round jack feet. Likely the same as yours, have you found any that work…my wood ones are severely cracked and I need to upgrade SOON! Thanks!!!
Hey, do you think the Ox Blox 🐂 would work for the tongue of my Featherlite Horse Trailer? 🐎 I would really like to know. Thx and Happy New Year, Jared and family!
I would recommend it especially with a wheel. I think the highlight of this unit is to make sure the wheel is solid and won't try to roll off and keeps it from spinning as you are cranking it down. At the very least check out the video they made it made me laugh. amzn.to/3zgLDO9
love your videos Jared….but…I use a wooden block….it was FREE….years have gone by and it’s still solid….but i’m sure this block you’re showing would work fine too
My Andersen red blocks cracked under the weight of my 5vr. Used them for about 4 years, then one day I noticed one under my front landing gear was cracked through. Replaced it with cinder blocks.
@@McRod-1 wow I thought they would be tougher than that I’m still using those stackable yellow ones have had no problems with them and I do have a travel trailer probably less weight up front maybe than your 5th wheel
Grounding your trailer is important if you're plugged into shore power. That's what the center connector on your electrical plug is for. Relying on ground contact with your leveling jacks would not be an effective way to accomplish this. If you're not plugged into shore power and you want to be grounded, you better drive a rod into the ground 8 feet and connect it to your frame. But I can't think of a good reason to do this.
Sizzor Jack's, what percentage should they be extended? Is there an extended point where they get less stable ? Nobody ever seems to mention this. My 24 " stabilizers don't even touch when fully extended without blocks on my Momentum 25g.
That is a good test I will do if I can find the right Rv to try it on. The best thing we found to make it feel more stable is the steady fast system th-cam.com/video/Pbnhp_z6nbs/w-d-xo.html
What size jack pad do you have that didn't allow this to work? We have some after market "Snap Pads" on our landing pads, so I am guessing there is no chance of this block working with Snap Pads installed.
Our Pads are close to 8 1/2" and the area in-between the squares is 6 1/4" the size of a tongue jack pad. Ours could sit on the 4 squares but I didn't want to put that kind of stress on the pads themselves. Hope that helps.
Very soft ground it could sink in but we have been using an open form block for years and has not been a problem. Mostly because if the ground is going to be softer than the block pressing in by more than an inch I am more worried about the truck and RV tires sinking in and getting stuck.
Are these better than wood blocks? Let's see: Are they lighter than wood blocks? (fail) Are they less expensive than wood blocks? (Nope. $50 apiece) Are they stackable to save space? (Nope) Wood blocks may deteriorate after several years, but since they're basically free, I think I'll just replace them when that happens. Also, I can stack wood blocks to get just the amount of rise I need. I can back over them and use them under the wheels when needed for leveling. I'll pass on these things.
As with many young designers this product is light on practically. Heavy, bulky, vastly over built and therefore too expensive. Cut it all in half and sell 4 times as many!
Way too expensive!! I've built boxes (12wx6hx4d) out of pressure treated 1X4 are easy to build and work well. Also I've seen claims this was designed by students but there is only mention designed by engineers. With a travel trailer you might need 5 (1x4 for corners) and the front jack with a total cost over $250 w/tax. And the wood boxes work great on wet ground, gravel, hard surface and even muddy ground. Cost for 5 was less than $15.
We used wood blocks for many years. Some cracked and some we put together lasted longer. You still have to check out the video they have, it's free and funny :-) amzn.to/3zgLDO9
Thx. Would you do a video on reinforcing a bumper? Want to add bike rack and kayak carrier.

Funny you just posted this content…….I just placed an order to get one this morning. Look forward to getting it.
We bought one of these for our TT and so far it is great.

Glad you're back missed you video's
Thanks, I missed posting last week too.

Really well thought-out product! The video on Amazon is hilarious!
Love all your videos they've been very informing right to the point and brief happy New Year keep up the good work
Thank you.
are they stackable? A very steep driveway and I would prob req 3 ...... $150~ ouch. 3' Tree Stump working for now.

That’s a good block for the tongue of a TT! I was looking for something like this when I had our TT. Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome!
I’ve bought a treated 6X6. Cut blocks a foot long each and used an old tow strap cut to length to make handles. Way cheaper.
Hey, do you think the Ox Blox 🐂 would work for the tongue of my Featherlite Horse Trailer? 🐎 I would really like to know. Thx and Happy New Year, Jared and family!
Yes, most likely. What kind of foot does it have?
The "foot" is a wheel so it should work. Thanks!

Very cool blocks 75 each in Canada they are quite pricey I’ve been looking at the Anderson ones weight limit is good on those
Ouch on the Canada price.
@@McRod-1 I've heard that from others that have used the Anderson blocks and had them crack.
Anderson blocks have a lifetime warranty. You may want to look at.
Is the sunlight going to dry it out?
So far so good haven’t had an issue with it in the sun.
Is it electrically conductive? I want my trailer electrical system to be grounded.
No it’s not conducive, but I wouldn’t pick my blocks or pads based on if it’s conducive or not.
Grounding your trailer is important if you're plugged into shore power. That's what the center connector on your electrical plug is for. Has anyone ever used a block of pressure treated lumber maybe 8x8

Built like a tank

Put it under a front tire of your pick up. As a weight test!
How about a 42,000 lbs CAT loader?

I don’t know; the moustache looked real to me😄
Do they take up more space in the storage compartment? Price?
cost is $50 each on Amazon
You missed an opportunity to put on a mustache!!! Lol
Haha
Pressing an open form into soft ground may not end well.
Very soft ground it could sink in but we have been using an open form block for years and has not been a problem. Mostly because if the ground is going to be softer than the block pressing in by more than an inch I am more worried about the truck and RV tires sinking in and getting stuck.
I use my wife's meatloaf... serves the same purpose.
Haha. That’s funny.
Fruitcake works too.!!😉
any rv that parks in one place for extended periods could use this imho
Is it stackable ?
Yes, they are. The design of the bottom fits onto the ridges on the top.
They would take up a bit more space than the blocks we use but the Ox Blox do stack. amzn.to/31k3dEh
It looks like a good product, but for me it’s not worth the cost, nor is it worth the extra weight (9 lbs each). I’ll be sticking with wood blocks.
We used wood blocks for many years. You still have to check out the video add they have, it's free and funny. amzn.to/3zgLDO9
That's what I thought looks like a good product but over priced.
A little tuff to store
Ox Blox cost money. Wood blocks are free. And I have used the same one for 10 years now. Is it perfect? No. But if you use it right, it's fine.

Sorry $50 is too much for what it is and does.
Yeppers

Too bad they don't have these for 5th wheels
I heard they might be working on that.
Needs to be flat on top it is wayyyyyy over engineered
