When I applied for a bank loan to buy my first car, I was told that I was a single woman and therefore a security risk. When I married, I was not allowed to be on the property title deed although I earned more money than my husband. I faced the glass ceiling most of my life, as did my female colleagues. I've worked for more than one male bully boss. Older women have these marked memories that have shaped their life-long perceptions. They remember the misogyny of their very long lives. No wonder older women are breaking for Kamala Harris. They see in her the opportunity for their children and grandchildren, and this applies to more than bodily autonomy. This election is fascinating. With the contrast between Harris and Trump being so stark, that the American population is as divided as it is is mind-blowing.

I know I'm in a very blue state California, but I helped 8 people vote. I spent 4 hours investigating all the measures, proposition, school board members, judges etc. on the L.A. county ballot and wrote a PDF for one cousin at first, then 7 more family members called to ask me for the PDF. I didn't just tell them how I would vote, I explained why I came to my conclusions. My cousin is 33 and it is the first time she voted, so when she asked for help, I dropped everything to do the research. I live in a different county so I had to do my research for my own ballot, then I helped the other four family members in my home vote. That brings the total to 12 people that I helped. We need the senate so I had to make sure I explained why Adam Schiff appeared twice on the ballot.

I spent 4 hours investigating all the measures, proposition, school board members, judges etc. on the L.A. county ballot and wrote a PDF for one cousin at first, then 7 more family members called to ask me for the PDF. I didn't just tell them how I would vote, I explained why I came to my conclusions. My cousin is 33 and it is the first time she voted, so when she asked for help, I dropped everything to do the research. I live in a different county so I had to do my research for my own ballot, then I helped the other four family members in my home vote. That brings the total to 12 people that I helped. We need the senate so I had to make sure I explained why Adam Schiff appeared twice on the ballot.

As I voted absentee because I am stationed in Germany, I am glad I got my vote in. I can now talk all the smack I want because I voted. If you don't vote, don't talk to me because your opinion doesn't matter and you made it known by not voting. Let's go Team Blue. We gotta course correct this ship or we will sink. I've done my part, and now I need all Mr. Cohens' followers to do the same. I am fired up to see our first female POTUS and for all the people that will keep their rights, because we will be on the right side of history. Will we stamp out MAGA folks.
