In case somebody missed it, he gave a little honest perspective of what the early impression of the name Crip was. He was perfectly honest about saying it sounded like some other BS. To people outside of L.A., even as close as L.B. the phrase"what's a Crip?" would have been common in the 70's. To a guy his age, who had already made a rep in his hood and never heard of Crippin, some youngster running around throwin up C's would have been something weird. The more I have learned from KMV interviews, the more I realize the game and message got handed to us ALL the way wrong....by the 90's outside of L.A. we were being exploited as teens by guys who could not or would not handle their own business. I can think back on some really solid guys and plenty of busters. I still wish we had just started our own crew, instead of getting swallowed up in something we did not know anything about.

He's 100% correct about the Stacy's and the buffing rags. That also applied to the Biscuits 👞Truth be told, Biscuits were the cheaper option for those that couldn't really afford Stacy's. Biscuits became fashionable later on in the game.😼

The south is where it all started!!!
What state you lived in in the south and the train line determined where you would live in the north.
A lot of people from New York and New Jersey and other northeastern cities came from Maryland, D.C., Virginia, N.C., S.C., Georgia, and Florida.
Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis had a black migration from states like Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, etc..
And people from Louisiana Texas, and some from Mississippi as well, ended up in Cali.

Then white flight started. All I stated was White people from Long Beach on the West Coast probably moved to Long Beach City in Long Island
