Some helpful advice, however, I've just removed the door jambs from my house & there's no way I could have removed them by the method shown in this video as they were fixed in with lots of long screws which i had to drill out.
Hi. How did u measure door lining when fixing 50mm/50mm timber on bottom both door Lining legs?
Tried using the method shown to remove the door lining and only damaged the plaster doing so.
Trying to remove with a crow bar is near impossible.
A better method - find the original screw heads under the wood filler using an awl, strike the centre of the screw to knock out the old filler and simply screw out, probably using a PH2 screw head.
Do the sawing before screw removal but once you have identified where two screws are so you don't hit them with the saw.
Yeah, but ARRGHH why do people use screws for fitting a door frame anyway? Nails are much the better solution for this job! (If you do have screws, you can probably locate them using a strong magnet. One of those tools sold for retrieving dropped screws, basically a strong small magnet on the end of a telescopic radio antenna, will do perfectly.)
Very illustrative video! Sorry if this question sounds silly but I'm just wondering if could be any issue when removing the old door lining.. structural wise, collapse..?

Give the wall around and above it a tap, if it sounds like timber your good to go
If it sounds like brick and your in doubt. You could remove the plaster to see if there is a lintel 🤷♂️ it’s somthing I’d check for a bigger door opening
Will this damage walls? If you’re getting walls plastered do the doorframe need to be removed and attached?
Hi, there. Thanks for your question. We'd suggest that you fit the door frames first then plaster as fitting the door frames afterwards can damage the plaster work. Hope this helps!
