Thanks for posting this I just fitted trepanels and concealed a cupboard door, followed video and managed it myself. Just waiting on Amazon delivery with door closures, job done 👍
Awesome! that is a lot easier the the traditional bookcase design and everyone knows that hidden door trick, so it is not such a secret anymore but with this, the door is undetectable! 😀👍 thanks for posting!
Question: did you put panel against the hinge, or on top of hinge? I can’t tell from watching but the 1 gap looks larger. It seems like when next to hinge, the gap is so big it really stands out
With the magnetic push locks, if you push it to open, what do you do from the other side of the door? Pull? That means you need a handle to grip so you can pull for the magnetic lock to open from the other side?
The method shown is the DIY way. To do this you need to use a SOSS hinge and ideally, use a door of a certain size so to keep all gaps in panelling the same. SOSS hinges are a hidden hinge without the knuckles. This is how us joiners do it👍
Tried to do this but the door wont open 90 degrees as its been obstructed by the black foam backing as it opens, not sure if its because I'm using concealed hinges rather than butt hinges?? Done everything as seen in this video, anyone else have this issue.
What would happen if you put the joint on the opposite side of the door? So not on the hinge point but the opening point. Seems more intuitive to me. So when you close the door fully there is some overlap between the wall panel and openening side of the door.
The panel you have in your hand for the first fit 60 cm wide by 240 high is £102.99, I would need 11 boards for my 7 meter wall.. WOW.. over a 1100 quid plus the extras I will pass and make it myself thank you for 1/3 the price with MDF and slats.
Loved the work. So perfectly done. I'm going to use the technique for my bedroom. Thank you very much. Keep posting such videos. Liked and subscribed too. This is Vijay from City-Visakhapatnam, State-Andhra Pradesh, Country-India.
These are the wrong hinges for the application. I've been researching and a regular hinge like this If it's installed tight and not larger gapped as shown here, the material would hit itself. I'm in the same project currently.
Hi, the panels are made from felt and MDF with a real wood veneer coating. You can find more info on our website: www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/wall-panels. Thanks, Emily
I know it was an advert but even so, that was poor. 1)Craig didn’t know the correct word ‘architrave’ 2) He also couldn’t use a drill or driver 3) Leaving the section above the door uncut was lazy and felt like the film crew just wanted it done 4) Those magnetic things at the end should have been embedded somehow - again lazy. 5) No thought given at all about how bad it’ll look when the door is open - loads of ways to sort that out.

My wife used these plans from woodprix and she's very satisfied.
Love the energy in this video, so engaging!
Thank you very much

Question: did you put panel against the hinge, or on top of hinge? I can’t tell from watching but the 1 gap looks larger. It seems like when next to hinge, the gap is so big it really stands out
Yep - I hate that it stands out so much against the rest of the slats
wow!!! I looked this for along time
How much gap are you leaving at the ceiling for the door to open, you are not showing the finished job, floor to ceiling
What do you do if you want to open the door from the other side is it as simple as pushing it
With the magnetic push locks, if you push it to open, what do you do from the other side of the door? Pull? That means you need a handle to grip so you can pull for the magnetic lock to open from the other side?
Those magnets hold the door only against very light air pressure, they are not that strong, so just push to open.
Exactly what I needed! I'm going to use the technique to conceal the love dungeon. ^_^
We know...
You could reverse your hinges inside ?
You can see where the door is because the gap is slightly bigger to allow for the door to open fully . But still looks the part craig 👌👍.
Nah looks crap, it's a shame you can't get a slightly wider gapped panel. I'd make my own instead
Hello
Do you do the installation?
Thank you
Hi, we don't offer an installation service, unfortunately. Let me know if there's anything else I can help with. Thanks Emily
how would you go about opening and closing from the other side ?
Yes please. I would like to use this solution for my bathroom door
Put a handle on the inside of the door. Thus, pull, then push to open. Pull the door closed and pull slightly harder to "click" the door closed.
The gap is bigger were the hinges are

I don't understand how the magnetic door catches work? Where do you fasten them to?
How do you come in to the room from the other side?
What would happen if you put the joint on the opposite side of the door? So not on the hinge point but the opening point. Seems more intuitive to me. So when you close the door fully there is some overlap between the wall panel and openening side of the door.

Good call when you see it up close it looks cheap and nasty... much better real wood
There 50€ +vat in ireland a year ago they where 100 when first came out but right down now go to a trade counter to get them
was thinking the same, would be easy to make these panels yourself. the pre made ones are just too costly
and I don't have that kind of Dosh... 😀👍
Can you show how to do a double door
How about if the door is opening inside ? Great video by the way

Thanks for this awesome video. Just wondering if I missed it...did you glue the panel to the door or just screw it?
Hi, Craig just glued them but you could use screws too. Thanks, Emily
What to do when the hinge are showing ?
Thanks! Exactly what I needed..💪
Glad it helped!
thanks for the video, really informative. Question question, I have some power sockets and light switches, how do you account for these please?
You make cutouts. Lots of videos here on how to do that diy with MDF, black fabric and stained slats, and these usually include how to make cutouts.
The space left of the door is too big.
My thoughts exactly, stands right out!
But he said you are not going to notice, you should listen more.......😂 ffs
Agreed.. although I don’t see what else you could do if you want the door to open.
These are the wrong hinges for the application. I've been researching and a regular hinge like this If it's installed tight and not larger gapped as shown here, the material would hit itself. I'm in the same project currently.
So what are the right hinges what link have you got . Chears.
Good job am love it, hope I can find in US.
Awesome video- thank you! I’m going to be using this to do the same thing 👍
Thanks for your comment! We hope it turns out well :)
But how do you open it from the other side?
you just push?
Is the door solid or hollow?
The larger gap on the hinge side and the floor gap at the door make this install detectable
It’s a quick tutorial not the perfect example. You complete bellend 😂
How can I get this in America
THANK YOU.
May I know what is this acoustic panel material ya? Tq

Where did you get the wood slats panels?
Hi, they're from Walls and Floors: www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/wall-panels. Thanks
Good video, thanks.
So what happened to the door handle?
Why using imperial measurements?
Dou you need the machine ?🎉🎉🎉
Architrave not architrive good video pal
Why can’t Craig say architrave
o for orsim !
Any questions feel free to ask away! 😁
Hi great video do you have a lot k for the magnetic lock
lol@ the head butt
Can’t deal with how he says architrave 🤦🏼♂️ I’m a scouser and we do not say it like that!
He won the first British Big Brother ....icon
