Hello from my Buckeyes Big 10 Champion state of Ohio! I've been interested in getting my feet wet with bee keeping. I'm disabled with lots of time on my hands for this great hobby. I've been watching video after video of yours for hours these past couple of days. This was a great video of your convention, and I must say your friends and you kept me laughing with your stories. The little guy is hilarious and always has a smile on his face in a few of your cut out videos. I'm a Christian woman that very much appreciates your reverence of our Lord (and the little guy too, lol). I'm learning, so when the funds comes around, I'll be a new bee keeper. Thank you for the laughs and the knowledge you share by the hard knocks, or the hits, lol... God bless you, your endeavors, family and your friends...

Cherish the time you have with your family Randy! I lost my mom in 2004 to cancer and lost dad just under a year later... Spend as much time as you can with your family! We lost our youngest son in September 2016. He was twenty years old... just under one month before his 21st birthday. You and your wife truly do have a very special bond! Every time you two look at each other it shows! It’s a lot deeper than 💗 love!

All this time I thought "Dirt Rooster" was southern slang for some sort of feral chicken or something like that. Seems a lot of TH-camrs have been stuck with out of place channel names because their path changed, but the channel name never did for fear of losing their subs. Glad you folks had a good trip, thanks for sharing.
That's pretty much how it was. Back in the day when I didn't think this channel would be anything the name didn't matter. By the time I had enough subs that it did matter I didn't want to basically start over with a new name that no one would recognize.

I keep a small bottle of Louisiana honey in my room. I was sipping honey right out of the bottle with my coffee while watching this. I`m on Catahoula lake in the Parish right above the one y`all were in...probably 30-35 miles as the crow flies from there but an hour by road. You, Mr Ed and JP the Beeman have made me want to get a hive again. The bees wouldn`t like me though because I`d eat all their honey!
I am new to your work. I really enjoy your channel. I'm from north florida, (swamp lands) but being military I've been stationed all over the place. It's good to get some southern charm back in my system after being so far north for so long. I hate bugs, especially the kind that flies. But you. And hornet king, have helped me at least appreciate and understand the insects importance to the ecosystem. #save the bees

Enjoyed the video! Kim Flottum really opened my eyes. Didn’t realize drone pollination was that advanced. If it’s truly that effective, honey bee research will become completely nonexistent & the commercial pollinators need to shift focus to other aspects of beekeeping. At least they haven’t developed a drone that can produce honey....yet.

Urban dictionary has "dirty rooster". I tried to get them to remove that crap but they won't. When I figured out that there are multiple nasty definitions for the guy's name who owns that site I gave up trying.

I share the same fears as Kim Flottum about bee pollination being replaced with mechanical pollinators. But when you think about it, it might help to relieve the mite and disease load a lot of migratory beekeepers face. We bring most of the country's bee population to a few states for a few months out of the year, so of course there's going to be more issues with disease. We've seemed to put ourselves in a catch 22 here, maybe it'll be a good thing for the bees but it will hurt a lot of businesses. I'm worried to see the impact on our industry, but I'm sure as hell glad that I don't rely on pollination for an income. Only 4 minutes into the video, but I really felt like ranting lol
DirtRooster, do you sell Nuces? Or ship bees ? I am wanting to set up a hive up in So Dakota & I know that Adee Honey keeps all their nuce production down in MS area . They are based a few miles west in Bruce, SD. Since I’ve been following you for some years, I thought I’d ask.

I need a ball cap big enough to fit a 5 gallon bucket I've only found one that would fit in my head and they only had one and it's about all wore out with all the stuff on it
I'm the same way. I also have a very large melon. I can't just walk into a big box store and pick out a hat. It's rare I find one in a store that fits me. Our large stretch fit caps fit me OK but if you want a true correct fit you need to order a fitted cap in your size.
