Liked so much of this and its retrospective look. Really cute! Lots of cupboards and it looks solid and well made. However did not like the fact that the bottom of the kitchen cupboards was floor. Makes it easier for bugs to get in (also a false bottom on top of the plumbing pipes to protect them would be helpful). Reading other comments I also hope folks have a choice of stove tops and oven types. Did not notice any hanging space for clothes, nor a basin to wash hands (which could be on the wall of the shower????) and the decorative piping on the seats would cut into your legs if sitting for a while. Also concerned that the bed is not for the tall, so queen sized would be better. With these few tweeks though, this would be awesome to own. Would be nice if they made a slightly bigger one for people who want to live long term.
Thank you for the comments. The front bed measures 55" x 78", so it is larger than it appears in the video. There are very few openings in the floor (which is a one piece laminated floor with greencore polypropylene panel top and bottom. This entire floor is sealed to the frame. I have a 1997 Class C 22 ft RV which I can jump into any time and drive off in. No hitches, hooking, unhooking, and no gas guzzling truck either. My other car is fuel efficient and can be towed if I need to. I never need to. My RV drives easily everywhere. So this logic is incorrect. Who goes to a camp? I don't! They are very expensive in CA. Different really different. Its cute but not one I would buy. I do love how you show the interior first. With the others I FF to the interior then backup to see outside if the interior passes my needs. Lol.
I still love it!! I've come back to see the interior several times now. I would totally live in this, just myself. I've seen several little things that I'd like to say how I'd use, or I thought needed adjustment. 1. Over- sink window is positioned too high up. (PJ couldn't see out, even I at 5'10" would have to lean way in to see anything outside that wasn't just sky). 2. I would move over-sink light fixture closer to wall, so if it's too glaring a scalloped wood valance could fit in. 3. This is how I'd use the back bed, I'd stack the two mattresses for a 26" wide bed for one, and get a vintage wood night stand. 4. Coat hooks! Near front door, and in little bedroom. 5. A couple more towel bars in bathroom. (One of my pet peeves in new houses or RVs, not enough towel bars!) 6. I wish that set dressers used more practical props. Kettles, tea towels, flatware, cooking utensils, pots n pans, foil & plastic wrap storage, mugs, dinnerware, canned goods, etc.

A permanent bed is a complete waste of space for 2/3 of the day. Such a loss of space is not a big deal in a large trailer, but in a trailer of this size it's absolutely pointless. This is a travel trailer not a suite at the Ritz.
Fair enough, but the overwhelming majority of RV buyers aren't full timers. Those who are would probably be better off with a larger trailer. Otherwise they face the prospect of spending the rest of their lives staring at a fully made bed taking up 1/3 of their trailer's interior space. But that's just one man's opinion, everybody has their own likes and dislikes.
I am in the market for one to leave in NC for every summer. I like the look so much but since I would live there every summer, this is Not for me. At 50yo I need a queen regular rv bed . Those cushions would kill me after a weekend. But imo they could had the look with modern bed and bath whilst keeping the retro feel. This is a good weekender though for younger people.
I agree,I love the look but it misses in so many areas. For me it starts with a bathroom and shower and I dont like not having a sink. The permanent bed for me is a must because no one is going to sit on that bench in the rear when you have that beautiful front booth.
Tom Langley I agree. They nailed the exterior but lost it with that door. Looks drab and uninviting. A porthole would have been fantastic and surprised their engineers didnt think of that.
@@paulmatulavich7321 The original Holiday House that this is modeled after didn't have a porthole, it had a big rectangular window. I can't imagine why they didn't stay true to form on this remake. See: camperrevamper.files.wordpress.com/2011/09/redclose.jpg
This wasn't an oversight, it was just a fail on our part. We tried to locate a door with a rectangular window, with the correct exterior finish... but it is not available. We are continuing to search, and when available will be incorporated into the trailers.
Is there a tint option for the dinette window? Does the window have a cover for protection while travelling? The shower stall top and bottom are being held together with lots of screws which will rust & fail quickly causing leaks. The "bed" looks quite small and uncomfortable - other than that, it looks cute.
The front windows are made of polycarbonate (described above in replies) and blocks 100% of UV rays. There are curtains which can be closed for privacy too. The screws in the shower area, as with the exterior screws, are stainless steel. Therefore they will not rust. Also as mentioned above, this was designed to continue the production of Holiday House trailers, just as they were in 1962. They had clear glass windows and a metal lined shower. We made upgrades and changes as code required, but otherwise stayed true to the original design.
Marieta, we understand your concern, but the corner windows are made of 1/4" polycarbonate. The company who makes these also makes F-18 fighter jet canopies and windshields for race cars. This is the same material, and the other products have been tested and rated as "bulletproof". The center window is 1/4" thick tempered glass and is used on concession and vending trailers all over the country.
@@petrkarv Were you living in middle America in the 1950s and '60s? My house had surface-mount outlets and switches, because it was remodeled from a 1930s house that didn't have electricity at all. I would say this IS the look they were trying to achieve.
@Lady Robin Part of the lure of a travel trailer for me is enjoying the local cuisine as I travel. "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" to coin a phrase. Having a microwave for warming up leftovers and cooking the occasional frozen dinner (a Swanson's TV Dinner, in keeping with the retro aesthetic) would be perfect for me.
things i would change if i bought one, put a window in the door, replace microwave with real oven, and in back of trailer i would replace bench / bed with real bed, preferably a twin as i am single. it all depends on weather or not your handy and willing to do some alterations your self.
Thank you. Now, what is the price and what is the tow weight?. 2 most important things. Nice video though. PS. sorry just saw the tow weight listed. Now for the price?.
Legally, MAP pricing prevents us from advertising our sales price. MSRP is about $42,000. We’re in the $35k range. Dry weight is about 3,400 lbs. Carrying capacity is about 1,450 lbs.
I would buy this in a heartbeat if I knew where to buy one. I would leave the couch setup as a bed all the time but of course I would have to see if I would fit. I camp by myself and looks like you can setup a privacy curtain for that area. In a trailer this small, you can walk two feet to wash your hands right in the kitchen sink. Getting ready to buy a Sol but would buy this one if it was available. Thanks PJ
I've watched this again and do not see any solar ready port. I know it's retro but the wiring and connection would not really be seen. Perhaps intech means to have people buy this that only use RV parks with hook ups? Thanks again.
This camper is so sweet. I don't actually see it realistically traveling. You just want to add a deck and some potted plants and a cafe table set and bench on the deck and make it more into a quiet backyard get away.
I just love this thing! Pulling it with my 1968 Merc would look so cool. Yah it doesn't have everything than I want, but pretty damn close. Need to figure out a solution to the "no sink" bathroom. Not impossible, but....
I love the retro styling -it’s truly gorgeous! but I need a bit more generously sized sleeping area-even if it means sacrificing a bit in the living area. My husband and I are both tall and like to stretch out when we sleep.
I don't know why they don't ask someone who actually camps what they'd like in a camper. Examples: More windows, windows that open. (Who wants their camper to smell like whatever was cooked?) Fixtures for cooking outside, like a stovetop that can be mounted on the outside of the camper. I can go on, and I'm not singling out this camper (except for the massive, unprotected glass front that looks like it's designed to catch birds and road debris and shatter into a vacation-stealing migraine headache). So many of these trailer campers are not airy enough, not ventilated enough.
There are plenty of trailers with those features out there. THIS ONE was specifically designed to appeal to people who want a vintage look; a 1950s retro vibe, and so it sticks to design elements that were common on trailers of that era.
I like the layout, shows how well-designed the older trailers were. When manufacturers actually cared about the end product, not just selling as many as possible. I'm puzzled why there isn't a window in the door. It would really break up a large amount of space. I'm also surprised a trailer that size only has one axle.
"I'm puzzled why there isn't a window in the door." I know. The original had one, so I don't know why this one doesn't. See: tinyhousepins.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/1961-holiday-house-trailer-05-600x398.jpg
great video tour, I would have appreciated just a tad longer in the bathroom, slower camera pans of shower-fixed shower head or handheld? more views of floor space, was there a sink inside bath? closer view of walls in shower and by toilet. Compared to how thorough you are everywhere else, I thought the bathroom felt rushed. :-) Also, is there ever a floor plan still pic you could insert at either beginning or end of video, that would be nice as well.
There is no sink in the bathroom. The showerhead is on a handheld wand that can also be set into one of two holders (high and low) on a fixed vertical bar.
Colorme Dubious: Your credit and debit cards...otherwise it's a "look at me" decadent-retro themed fashion " static trailer queen statement" for the very few that can afford it....which in turn will rarely use it for intended RVing...beyond taking it to shows.

@@thatmichigangirl90 Which still does not answer the question. Have you seen a rock hit a window? Lexan or glass, it will shatter, dent, scratch, chip, and remove that pristine view. All airstreams had rock guards on theirs.
Just wondering how much it would cost to replace those wrap around front window sections, if it should happen to need it. Are they glass, or plexiglass? Class A bus windows are very expensive to replace.
A generator isn't built in, but many people get a small portable generator and set it away from the trailer, then run the "shore-power" cord to it. It cuts down a bit on the noise and vibration.
Looks great on outside. What a pain in the neck to have to convert dining into bed every night. Front bed doesn't look that spacious. No bathroom sink? Big kitchen. I'd need a dedicated bedroom.
This is an 18' trailer, so the small space doesn't really allow for a separate bedroom... The front bed is 55" x 78". We have larger floorplans on the way, the 27' model will include a separate bedroom.
So who manufactures these? I live in the UK and there are a few dealers popping up but if I could find out who makes these wonders, maybe I could get one. They're knocking out some great caravans over here but nothing like these. I reckon if a company started making american style trailers over here, they'd clean up!
We haven’t had one of these in several years, and we no longer carry them. Our best resource for construction answers is the Holiday House website. Best of luck! www.holidayhouserv.com/construction.html
Can propane be used instead of gas? The sink is too small. Could a steam convection oven be used? How about solar panels on the roof? Maybe drawer type bottom in the storage areas.
The stove and the water heater ARE propane fueled, thus the two propane tanks up front. (Propane IS a gas at normal temperature and pressure. Perhaps you meant "instead of natural gas (methane).")

This wasn't an oversight, it was just a fail on our part. We tried to locate a door with a rectangular window, with the correct exterior finish... but it is not available. We are continuing to search, and when available will be incorporated into the trailers.
How much
I don't think they're gonna tell ya Mister....
I really like that the old design is being resurrected! Great job! I'm a little surprised that the door doesn't have a window in it.
Very nice presentation. 🇨🇦
Is there a tint option for the dinette window? Does the window have a cover for protection while travelling? The shower stall top and bottom are being held together with lots of screws which will rust & fail quickly causing leaks. The "bed" looks quite small and uncomfortable - other than that, it looks cute.
Tygerlady99 having protection for that window while in transit is very good idea.
I am alone it would be perfect fir my 5’2 self!!!! How much and what is weight
How will protect that front window when towing it and that corner glass will be very expensive to replace...other wise a cute trailer
Must have very thin walls when switches and plugs are surface mounted.
Really takes away from the look they are trying to achieve. Makes it feel cheap.
@@petrkarv Were you living in middle America in the 1950s and '60s? My house had surface-mount outlets and switches, because it was remodeled from a 1930s house that didn't have electricity at all. I would say this IS the look they were trying to achieve.
I love the 50's modern style of this trailer. The interior could have had more 50s color patterns.
I would skip the microwave.
Ideoform Sun for sure I have a microwave/convection oven in my class c it is used for storage
@Lady Robin I'm sure you can delete it or get a regular oven in its place.
And the wardrobe closet is where???
things i would change if i bought one, put a window in the door, replace microwave with real oven, and in back of trailer i would replace bench / bed with real bed, preferably a twin as i am single. it all depends on weather or not your handy and willing to do some alterations your self.
But if you're going to spend the money to get one Brand New, shouldn't it come how you Want it? Which is why I'm Still shopping. 😐
How about the backing up camera?
If you want one, it can easily be installed.
Love it. What is the price?
Always remember the old adage: "If you have to ask how much it costs, you can't afford it."
@@davelindstrom6005 LOL so true
@@PrincessCraft that's actually pretty interesting, why do they prevent you from doing that?
Beautiful looking trailer. :)
A trailer.....errrr.....caravan Andrew Ditton will envy!!!!!
How much?
Wow, how cool! A USPS mobile post office!
Love this camper
I don’t like solid boards as bed boards. They don’t allow air to flow and go mouldy and damp.
I wonder if it comes in a longer length?
Not yet, but maybe if they see enough demand.
Our 27' floorplan is just coming on line now.
Looks like home I like it looks warm and inviting
This camper is so sweet. I don't actually see it realistically traveling. You just want to add a deck and some potted plants and a cafe table set and bench on the deck and make it more into a quiet backyard get away.
I absolutely love this RV!!!! Great job, PJ!
I would leave the rear sofa down as a bed. I cannot find a manufacturer on the web or other models they have available.

@@PrincessCraft Thanks.
A couple commenters have mentioned it needs/should have ventilation to prevent mold/mildew. 🤷♂️🤷♀️
I just love this thing! Pulling it with my 1968 Merc would look so cool. Yah it doesn't have everything than I want, but pretty damn close. Need to figure out a solution to the "no sink" bathroom. Not impossible, but....
Looks very nice can we put things on top when traveling
Gorgeous
I love the retro styling -it’s truly gorgeous! but I need a bit more generously sized sleeping area-even if it means sacrificing a bit in the living area. My husband and I are both tall and like to stretch out when we sleep.
I’d like to buy 1 of these now
Give Holiday House a call at 574.206.0016 and they can connect you with a dealer that may have one available!
About the only place you're gonna want to take this is to a rock-a-billy concert/gathering.
@@longyarn4288 Oh, I don't know; I'd love to have one to take around the country to Good Sam Club gatherings.
I like the layout, shows how well-designed the older trailers were. When manufacturers actually cared about the end product, not just selling as many as possible.
I'm puzzled why there isn't a window in the door. It would really break up a large amount of space. I'm also surprised a trailer that size only has one axle.
Or a screen door.
This unit is built by a fly by night company in Elkhart Indiana by meth-heads on work release.
@@bobpeg7457 Wow. Meth-heads do great work
@@ballantine58 It has a screen door. See: www.holidayhouserv.com/
"I'm puzzled why there isn't a window in the door."
I know.
I agree with you Christine. The "throne room" is Very important.
where do you go if you should need to replace one of those tires?
They’re normal tires. Replacements are easy to get at most tire stores.
The manufacturer doesn’t have a model with two axles at this time.
@@PrincessCraftGangster sidewalls are not normal tires.
This is awesome!
I love this how many does it sleep?
I would say 3.
What s the price so cute n cosy
Excellent tour thanks
What protects the front window in transit?
Thats a great question. However, I do believe there wasn't a rock guard on the original, either...
Colorme Dubious:
Your credit and debit cards...otherwise it's a "look at me" decadent-retro themed fashion " static trailer queen statement" for the very few that can afford it....which in turn will rarely use it for intended RVing...beyond taking it to shows.
"Worldwide Wrap-Around View Window - Corner windows made of ¼” thick polycarbonate material. Shatterproof and designed to block 100% of UV rays. Center window is ¼” thick tempered glass with an aluminum clamp ring. Used by concession and event trailers around the world."

@@thatmichigangirl90 Which still does not answer the question. Have you seen a rock hit a window? Lexan or glass, it will shatter, dent, scratch, chip, and remove that pristine view. All airstreams had rock guards on theirs.
This trailer is so retro cute
What is beneath the aluminum siding?
Welded aluminum frames, then a plywood skin.
Love this trailer. But would be concerned about that front glass while towing.
I love it!
Just wondering how much it would cost to replace those wrap around front window sections, if it should happen to need it. Are they glass, or plexiglass? Class A bus windows are very expensive to replace.
At the cost of $35,000 for this small trailer, most who buy it wouldn't flinch at the cost of repairing to windows.
@@valkillmore847 How would you know what would make someone "flinch?" Your answer doesn't answer the question.
Where can I find a 1955 Ford pickup to pull it with
Or a 1961 Buick Roadmaster.
Whatever they pay you is not enough. You're very good at this and tell the viewers little things they want to know.
How much is this trailer?
Amazing!!
It’s cute
No screens?
💲💲HOW MUCH, $$
Nice
How much does it weigh and How do I get one
Nice! But does it have a generator for dry camping? I might have missed it on the video?
A generator isn't built in, but many people get a small portable generator and set it away from the trailer, then run the "shore-power" cord to it. It cuts down a bit on the noise and vibration.
How expensive are these?
Well how much is it?
Looks great on outside. What a pain in the neck to have to convert dining into bed every night. Front bed doesn't look that spacious. No bathroom sink? Big kitchen. I'd need a dedicated bedroom.
This is an 18' trailer, so the small space doesn't really allow for a separate bedroom... The front bed is 55" x 78". We have larger floorplans on the way, the 27' model will include a separate bedroom.
Really love this! Is there any option to get it without the stove? I use induction plates and hate my countertop having a stove I'll never use.
It isn’t an option from the manufacturer at this time. Sounds like a great DIY project if you’re so inclined!
PJ please let me know the price and send video back so I know which it is and do you have cheaper used ones same floor plan thank you
also i would prefer haveing a bit different paint job no shiny aluminume ,, maybe green or dark blue.
Beautiful rv
Gotta love the nostalgia, right?
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls
So who manufactures these? I live in the UK and there are a few dealers popping up but if I could find out who makes these wonders, maybe I could get one. They're knocking out some great caravans over here but nothing like these. I reckon if a company started making american style trailers over here, they'd clean up!
$35,000 and no sink or actual bedroom ..nope
It's pretty but not a very double design.
I agree
mike eat it Exterior super pretty but interior needs work as it relates to bedroom.
Make one of these retro jobs, but incorporate a bedroom and get creative with a slide out. Then they'd sell like mad!
I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find what the roof is made of.

@@seikibrian8641 I don't know what it's called but the bottom is on rollers and can be rolled out to see what is on the shelf. I've seen this type of thing at Ikea
