I'm a r pod owner, so I really like this retro trailer. We got our r pod in 2010, the only thing we had to do different to our r pod was last summer hubby put in a beautiful snap together hardwood floor. We just went to the Outer Banks and the floor was so easy to keep clean. I should add there was four adults and a grand baby. We also boondocked our first night. When we first got the R Pod, I took out the table, ( it's stored in the garage). Then I took that area and put down ply wood and went out and bought a nice memory foam mattress. The other side has bunk beds. You don't really need a table in your camper if you're in a camp ground because you are outside with a picnic table. I have a portable induction cooker and portable grill that I set up on the picnic table. After you been camping for so many years, you will learn how to work together and save on space. :-)

I’m thinking about buying one to live in a few years. I’m 38, single, no family, and already own 5 acres of land by a creek. I wanted to build a small cabin but until the housing market and building supplies goes down I could live pretty cheap in a camper. And be pretty comfortable too. These high house prices are going to crash sooner or later. I’m going to wait it out 👍🏻

Dear PJ I love your videos, especially you give ballpark of the cost.
I like this trailer more than any you have shown recently. Being able to easily make the bed is very important to me. You didn't discuss the windows. Do the open and are they screened. If not the designers really messed up.

You would have more space if there was a Murphy bed with shelves. Instead of having bed that near the door.

Love it perfect size, we have a 17ft. 2015, really just for the 2 of us, but even then, an extra foot would be nice. One suggestion is in any small or medium trailer, install an area for a generator. My question is that the fridge does not run on propane? Great video.
I wonder if you can get a different floor as far as pattern also change the red color on the dinette.

Excellent video just not for me. The interior in my opinion is backwards. When I have my bacon and eggs in the morning I want to see my campsite not the neighbors. Also it looks like they forgot the windows. Thanks

Nice unit. But i would swap the fridge for a smaller propane enabled model. I also think the front bottom would be better squared off for more pass thru storage/battery space.

Nice looking trailer, but the tv looks like it's at the end of the hall. Odd. I would also want to move the bed away from the door, and to the side opposite the door.

I was going to buy one until I found out how small the black water tank is. I would have to empty it every day. Plus the refrigerator only being electric was a no go for me. I boondocks at hunting camp and have no hook ups of any kind.

I am wondering the same thing. I will say that by the look of the video and the floor plan it looks like the bathroom MIGHT be accessible, but the fridge likely is not. If there is any space it would be just enough to slide through to the bathroom sideways, but not enough to open the fridge door. Again, purely speculation on my part.
No, the slide is really big and totally blocks the bathroom and tv. But the fridge is accessible.
Can this be customized with a Murphy bed with jack knife sofa?

The style of the refrigerator does not fit with the rest of the trailer but I guess there is no equivalent retro refrigerator available. Be cool if there was.
How much room is there when the slide out is not out? Can you still walk through? Sometimes you need to make a stop but you can't put out the slide.
It's too tight to pass with the slide completely in. You'll need to let the slide out just a bit to access the bathroom.
awesome so now i can spend on buying a new trailer and still be banned from half of the RV parks out there because it looks like an old one.....

to be fair this may fix that problem,, and in my opinion this style is beautiful.

I love the colors but wanted to know does this have the option of a front Murphy style bed that comes down over a sofa? That way if you have guests they don't have to sit on your bed or when camping with younger kids for rainy days when stuck indoors.

You can pull a 4500 pound trailer like this one easily with a standard full size truck such as an f-150, Silverado or ram truck all are rated for about 10,000 and up towing.
silly having the door open to the bedroom
Like certain things like the dual axle. The layout is almost really good except for the slide. That really kills it for me. I honestly do not understand why they insist on putting them in. They are just huge leaks. If not water leaks definitely air leaks. The presence of a slide effectively cuts the life expectancy of a trailer in half if not more. Its like throwing money away.
Good idea but poor execution. Fit, finish, and material quality is terrible.

Seems like a retro price to me. I love it. Campers are pricey these days. I’d be hard to find one new of any brand much cheaper
