Hey guys, I recently downloaded the client and plan to start playing tonight. I don't really want to put in much of an investment, and don't mind grinding....I play Ragnarok so the grind is normal to me hah. It seems like it's a fun game, I read the Giant Bomb review and it sounds fun but dangerous as they say. Hopefully I dig it enough to stick around for a little while at leas, thanks for the video.
Oh, woops XD. I never saw this to reply back....man, I am so addicted to Entropia. I am level 33 laser sniper, got my first HoF the other day for an item currently worth $150. I did deposit a good deal over time, but am surely making my way to break-even / positive. Entropia is a HARD game, mistakes cost you money, but learn to play it well and it's very very fun.
Love the choices, although I have one to splice in at #1: not getting a mentor. I'm a relatively new player, but I have a mentor who has been playing long enough to put the loot on casual and still break even, or even get ahead. Best part is, he crafts using the stuff that I would otherwise TT because its in too small quantities to auction, like you were saying. Now, he's an exceptionally good mentor, but even if you don't get one as awesome as him, it's still a good idea to have someone show you the ropes so you don't make noob mistakes.
These games are basically fly paper traps for those with obsessive personalities, especially with gambling problems. The game is set up to take money in which to advance, under the guise of getting rich.
Not at all just have to be smart enough. You play a game to play not getting rich. You've gotta love the concept, the lore, the friendships you build... . And once you get really Familiar with the game it becomes a free to play game (you kinda bought the game though) and it can definitely even become a game where you earn as you invested in the game. Ever earned money without investing? Entropia universe is like real life on many aspects and unique mechanics which wasn't possible if real money wasn't involved.But being so négatif about the game isn't necessary just have to be well informed and continously willing to learn
I use to sell all my shrapnel i collected, i even got up to 1.2 mill shrapnel. I use a knife or sword over a gun(good for upping some skills like evade) because i was getting tired of running out and buying ammo. I by chance saw a video about markups. So I check to see if shrapnel had a markup and if I can sell at auction. I did not find a markup, but I did find a convert to ammo option. Could have had 1.2 mill universal ammo. Ammo that I did not want to waste ammo for. Also, I learned to check durability of weapons. Now I invested $100 the game. Got an ok rifle and an powerful but low durability sword that is crazy expencive to repair but my last resort weapon. Also learned I could go to the place with lvl 180 + creatures, strip down to shorts, and die over and over to up skills like dodge, evade, combat reflexes, ect. pretty quickly(when the game feels like it). I went in blind, still low level and still figuring the game out, but I am learning by trial and error. I run around some time mining here or there. learned that if you drop a mining pod, keep running for a distance and drop another one, get better yields and reduced no resource prompts. I am still a noob.
I entered the game 3 days ago intent only on sustaining my ammo and repair expenses. NOT to make real life dollars. Even following advice it is VERY difficult to almost impossible to do that. The auctions couldn't even support me. I like the game and I'm in it to level myself and gear up. Deposits will be made. Passive PED generation will be found. Hopefully not too expensive! Let's see where we get.
To be honest you have to invest something buy a starter pack from webshop for 20 bucks and strat hunting puny creatures find a sweat circle join a society and play things will get better trust me.
@@ThePtrtirkey When I first made my account I bought the second highest starter pack. The Barbarella rifle did make starting much easier and has been a mainstay as I do the early leveling. I put a few more bucks in and bought a few Underground land certificates that make me .07 PEC's a day. lol! I found I can maintain my ammo supplies by switching from the rifle to one of the Unlimited swords for some dodge and strength leveling with shrapnel gain. I won't use anything Limited as once it wears out you lost the PED you put into it. I haven't played for a week now. I can't go after the larger creatures because I'm not powerful enough to go after anything over LVL 6. I wish the combat was body location sensitive instead of just blasting away to do damage. Head shot or foot shot is all the same. I collected a lot of Unlimited blueprints and was going to start a weapons shop specifically for beginner players to get Unlimited weapons. We'll see. Kinda moved to Avorion and Crossout for a change-up.

i play entropia for 6 months.i spend 40 usd for gold pack and 30 usd for 3 ammo packs.6 months later i earn arround 20 dollars per week.So these scrubs on video,telling you that you are not gonna make money are just epic noobs or idiots.thanks
+TheRealEG : If it is a common item the markup will be low, TT item dont have any markup value since it is a TT item. :) Sorry my english is bad but I hope you understand.
+TheRealEG Actually you can only purchase very little from the TT and it's all 100%. The TT value is above what you sell it to the terminal at. For example if a markup for the market is about 103% or lower it is probably better to sell it to the TT (Unless you want to collect a whole bunch of something). The reason why 103 is due to the auction fees. You may be able to get a good offer in person for someone who is buying stuff in mass to sell to the auction. There are some items that are rare and in high demand for thousands of % of TT value. TT value is only what the TT will give you in PED for trading it in.
Definitely in my early days I didn't see a global at least for weeks now i get 4 globals on a 200 PED hunt between 25 and 40 and ended with a total TT value of 248 so around 255 MU which is a vast improvement decay included. But more skills means better and more ammo burner guns . And still bad days happen just retreat in time gl
Nice way to justify yourself: "This is not a Slot Machine, well it sort of is a Slot Machine but it's an Intelligent slot machine". I am on the opposite side of your Number #4 advice: If you're hunting/mining run is shit awful, keep at it if you have enough of a PED buffer. Variables in this game are smarter than a Slot machine (like you said), It's almost like a test "Will the player quit after killing only a few hundred mobs?". Been playing over 5 years and have friends who have played for over 10 and they agree with what I am saying. Don't Quit! and GL! :D
You guys have great videos - but I've been other Entropia videos where you can turn the camera so we are looking at the fronts of your characaters instead of your backs all the time. :) it would probably look a lot better! Thanks!

I was looking into this game since yesterday. I kind of want to try seeing just what I can do being nothing more than a Entropia hobo. ... Hobotropia! I downloaded it. Might try it out, see just how far I can go spending exactly $0 on it.
Not very far at all. It was a good few days of playing for free. Mining sweat with your starter thingy doesn't get you very far at all. Asking to join other people didn't get me anywhere either. This is a game that eventually forces you to pay to continue... or at least forces SOMEONE to pay for you to continue. Also... side note. No paypal support? Kinda stupid idea there.
Lord Xtheth well the problem is that it is a real cash economy, it's impossible for the devs to give you the resources necessary to earn faster ped because those resources cost ped, real cash, which is also why a lot of people won't give that stuff to you, a lot of people say it's similar to gambling, I look at it as an investment. you put money into something, play it smart, and be patient to get your return out of it

my only mistake is ped i'm always out a friend introduced me to the game he plays thinking he will get rich . i tried it out knowing thats not happening but in the processes i began to like the game it amazes me how much detail is put into the world and even more so that its to hard for weak lazy gamer's to play although i got to say the ped system and missions are lacking
but why would stopping a bad hunt make sense? if u roll a dice and u get lots of 1's it wont help if u pause rolling for an hour til u try again to get a 6. Or is there actually really a dynamic droprate for items?
pretty sure that the game puts globals in certain mobs/items and if you have been hunting for a long time and not hitting anything then there might just be no globals for that mob right now and switching to another one or taking a break and coming back might be all you need to get going again.
I wish I would have played this game instead of WoW, .. I have like a gold empire on there. Sadly the only thing you can buy with WoW gold that saves you real cash is MORE wow time LOL. Is it to late to begin playing this game? I almost feel like the people that have playing this game the whole time its been out have a monopoly on the markets that new players have no chance in making it big at this point?
Jason Hinkle I started recently(Today in fact) and it is never too late to make a buck or make it big. There are professions you use to make money pick one based on play style to maximize output of money. If you are thinking about depositing, 10PED is equal to 1USD, and there are many things you can buy that will be useful like Sleipnir for 31PED And be sure not to spend money on the flashiest gun you see, or you will not be off to a good start. Strategize, think carefully, and make sure you are very careful about spending.
Anything a week is good. I started trying to collect sweat looked for things for 5 mins then found a goat. But it was a laser goat or something and it started chasing me and just when I think i am rid of it, the thing jumps out and I scream at the top of my lungs. Haven't played since.
oki... YOU are noobs... gambling is horrible.... I don't do it, but set yourself a target for a hunt.... DO keep going, ignore the advice on here, it's mostly good, but nooby, DO continue on 'that mob' mostly Atrox, things like that, or spiders... do it, carry on doing it, go on and on until your "hunt" is over. This is really obvious, if you play slot machines... someone will be watching you, they know to swoop in as you've paid it up. SAME THING, stick with your mob, I've had 2 ATH through this rule alone.
matthew reid Nearly all items in-game have some rate of decay for usage. Even equipping/unequipping clothing will decay the clothes some. So yes, the sword will decay.
