- Based near Stratford upon avon, Arden is a complex of 6 lakes with varying stocking densities to suit a number of angling disciplines and levels of skill. We’ve been involved for the past and present owners and under Andrews guidance, the owners have given Arden the TLC it deserved to fulfil its full potential.
In this video we explain just how we've helped the owners develop an incredible stock of fish from the stock that they've inherited. In just a few short years, Arden is producing incredible match weights in the match pools and multiple catches of 20lb Carp in the specimen Carp pool as well as specimen Perch in the other waters.
Like a Pheonix from the flames, Arden has become an incredible fishery, a fantastic example of how you can transform things with strategic management. A pleasure to be involved with!

This is a fantastic video, im a member at arden and the carp lake is what i fish regularly so its great to see it been looked after.
I must ask, what was the biggest carp roughly you saw when netting? Ive had a couple upto 23lb and many over 20. But always wondered if there was bigger as ive heard many rumours of 25lb+

@@Outta_Towna82 the jackets are from two bare feet, surprisingly cheap and well worth it if you're spending any amount of time in cooler water. I think Andrew uses neoprene waders from decathlon

What are the species of plant seen around the margins, and would they be suitable for a shallow lake?
Carex Riparia is what you see the most of in this video, we also use Yellow Flag Iris and Scirpus. Bullrush and Phragmites are very common but very encroaching so they will swallow up water space, particularly if it’s shallow! Burr Reed is a bit of a half way house, it looks nice but does spread fast and take up more water space than Carex and Iris.
