I live in a small town of around 11,000 souls called Two Rivers in Wisconsin, USA. Years ago, our town earned the nickname "Carp Town" among the locals because of the large carp that travel up the river from Lake Michigan every summer. We have a small festival every summer called "Carp Fest", and several people from all over the world travel here to compete in the tournament to catch the largest carp. I have a recording studio here that is along the bank of one of our rivers, and I named it "Carp Town Studios", and during the warmer months I regularly feed the carp, and other wildlife behind the studio. Liked, subscribed, shared! Thanks for the content!
Changed my river strategy this year and instead of feeding just one spot I started feeding 3 which are 200m apart. When fish are feeding on one spot I tend to get a bite within the first twenty or thirty minutes. If not I move to the next spot. Since the fish in my river seem to move around a lot this works much better than feeding one spot for a longer period hoping they will eventually settle which they never really do. Since my three spots all have different depth, structure and current I feel like it's much less likely that I'm fishing on the wrong spot and miss out on the fish because of changed conditions. I also keep my sessions very short, half an hour per each spot but instead do more sessions and try to cultivate those areas. Yes with more feeding spots you risk spreading the fish but who says you can't fish three or 4 different spots in one session? Anyways it's been a complete game changer for me and I feel like an idiot having always tried to force river fish to feed on just one single spot 🤦♀️😅
Great video lads. The river I fish is a "fat river" as opposed to your "thin river" 😁 but there were lots of useful tips I can use. Also around my area there are lots of old mill streams and slow backwaters which I know hold carp. I will definitely be giving it a go in the next few weeks. Ps fantastic film work. really professional. 👍😊👍🐟🎣
Is it possible to add subtitles to the video's because i'm from Belgium and I don't understand everything. Go on with your fishing video's and tutorials, I love them!
your videos are so pieceful. Id love to see a summer team up with sea fishing guru "the fish locker" both your types of videos are lovely the filming quality is something else. ASMR like from both of you. Keep up the good work.
Another fantastic video once again ! Can you please do a video on how to use Arma Kord ? I purchased some the other day, but I have no clue what it is used for !
Hi mate, we'll try and cover it one day in a video. In simple terms though, we tend to use a couple of rod lengths above our rig when fishing in snaggy conditions. We tie it to the mainline with an Albright knot, check it out it's a very strong knot to attach two lines together and works well with mono to braid, just be sure to fold the mono back on itself and wrap the armakord around it, not the other way round :)
Just wondering any chance you could do a set up tutorial for drop shoting with worms and lures. Want to give it a go on my small river I know there are a few good perch. Thanks keep up the great work
Awesome video. My issue is in the U.S. its hard to find boiles and good carp rods/reels and bite alarms. Amazon doesnt have a very good selection. Is there a good carp fishing gear website that i can visit?
Not sure about in the UK but in Ontario, Canada especially during the late spring/early summer we catch a lot of carp in fast flowing water but it's usually below locks and dams
Amazing video as always! Is there a chance that you'll make catfish fishing tutorial soon, bc I'd love to see that since I'm losing my mind from trying to catch one in the river where I usually fish..
I caught a couple of carp in one particular area of a creek last year, around June-August. Do you think that if I go back there around that same time of year, they will either still be there or have returned from breeding?
Thank you mate :) Glad you found it helpful! The definite line between a river and a stream can sometimes be pretty hard to pin down however in this case this is definitely a small river (or tributary) which then directly feeds into the main river: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tributary
I think I hooked into a carp in the Kennet and Avon while night fishing, it steamed off up stream and straightened out my hook I never saw the fish but I don’t think it was a barbel, but me and a couple friends had 7 barbel between us that night.
Hey can you do a how to catch big carp on float pls it would help a lot scene as my pb is and 8lbs er thnx keep up the great content subbed to both channels
Were I live our town bird is a perigrin falcon sadly someone shot one of the two but the one that lived found a mate aboit a week after and were I go fishing there is a red kite and you would see it every nown again taking small roach from the lake
This has a lot to do with the number of fish, and size of river. But on our local small river, we threw in about 5 to 10 handfuls of bait each day for a week before fishing. Everywhere will be different though, for example on a big river like the Thames you'd have to put in a few KGs every day to make much of a difference as there would be many more bream and small fish eating it up!
Not sure if you know but grey squirrels gang up and attack and eat red squirrels, hence why they are so rare iv been a hunter for well over 20years and i have only ever seen 1 red up in Scotland

beautiful video, congratulations fisherman.👍🎣😊
Works really well on little river would love to see you guys target a bigger river but love the video
Sweet video lads. What I love in most of your vids is the simple rig. Hair rigged corn or snowman boilies. Shows how accessible carping is to all. 👍🏼
Is it possible to add subtitles to the video's because i'm from Belgium and I don't understand everything.
Go on with your fishing video's and tutorials, I love them!
Some fantastic tips here. Really interesting video. Very useful too.
Cheers Mark, glad to hear it :) pleased you found it useful

You don’t tend to get many river tench anymore but I’m sure they’re still about
Hey i am from Denmark and your videos have inspired me to buy some carp gear and have tried one time but havent caught a carp but great videoes
Great point about using a longer hook link to keep the weeds from covering up the hook bait. Great video guys.
Thanks 👍
your videos are so pieceful.
Id love to see a summer team up with sea fishing guru "the fish locker" both your types of videos are lovely the filming quality is something else.
ASMR like from both of you.

Forget about the polarized glasses, use a drone with a polarized lens like you have. That's the game changer !
Which polariod glasses do you use alex??
Great river fishing tips!
great vid lads,
where do i get the same particles/maize in bulk from please?
Your snow man rig how do u stop the bottom bait from sliding on the hair or does it not matter if it does ?
Hi mate, try tying the hair loop larger so that the knot sits inside the bottom bait. ;) That works for us as the knot holds the bait still!
Thanks lads tight lines and wet nets
Thanks for the video lads another informative lesson
Our pleasure!
Just wondering any chance you could do a set up tutorial for drop shoting with worms and lures. Want to give it a go on my small river I know there are a few good perch. Thanks keep up the great work
Watching this from the river side great vid 💪tight lines 🎣
Thanks mate! Good luck :)

Great video lads , as usual a pleasure to watch you . What kind of landing net are you using? Cheers
We’ve got a Nash H-Gun net, and a Prologic one too! They are both 42inch specimen nets.
What do you guys think about off set hooks?
Hello can you use feeder method on rivers?
I love fishing
Same :)
great video could i just ask what but rests you use when your not using the woodland sticks 😂👍🏼
Amazing video as always! Is there a chance that you'll make catfish fishing tutorial soon, bc I'd love to see that since I'm losing my mind from trying to catch one in the river where I usually fish..
What river is this? Most don't have them in
@@petertomo95 River Drava, it has lots of catfish in it, recently 70kg cat was catched at the exact spot where I fish, yet I can't hook single one lol
TheBajt the catfish will feed on the smaller fish so I would use smaller dead fish as bait.
Brilliant, better and better ☺
Cheers!
This river looks awesome! Don't suppose you can tell me where it is?? :-)
Is this the Ouse in Sussex?
What size hooklink Alex? Standard 18lb?
Great and informative video as usual, kept me hooked (!) even if I'm not a carp angler (yet anyway).
Glad you enjoyed it! Good luck if you do go carp fishing one day! :)
I caught a couple of carp in one particular area of a creek last year, around June-August.

No problem 👍
Keep up great vids
That was a lot of really great information! That... wasn't a river though. That was a nice stream. Still, a really helpful video
Thank you mate :) Glad you found it helpful! The definite line between a river and a stream can sometimes be pretty hard to pin down however in this case this is definitely a small river (or tributary) which then directly feeds into the main river: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tributary

You know :)
@@fishingtutorials of course i have been whatching for 3 years love your content ; )
do all rivers have carp?
Nah
Some, but definitely not all. Slower flowing rivers seem to have more chance of holding carp than fast shallow ones! :)
Fantastic video any pointers on quantities your pre baiting with? And how long for?

What are the best weather conditions for carp?
So tiny river and still full with carp..
