  • Today, I'll introduce "Lake of the Springs," one of the campgrounds from Thousand Trails.
"Lake of the Springs" is located about 60 miles north of Sacramento, California. It takes about an hour to drive there.
    Let's take a look around.
From California Highway 20, take Marysville Road and drive about 17 miles for around 20 minutes until you reach the entrance.
Complete a simple check-in process at the entrance.
For information about Thousand Trails membership, please search on Google.
Membership is not mandatory to use "Lake of the Springs."
The well-paved road has a speed limit of 20 miles per hour, but it's 5 miles per hour in sections where campsites are located due to frequent deer and other animal sightings, so drive carefully.
On the left, you'll see the dump station.
As you climb the hill, there's a cellphone zone where signals are good. Across from it is Section A.
Heading back down the hill, it's quite steep, so naturally, you'll drive slowly.
Now, take a right into Section D. It feels a bit cramped with a speed limit of 5 miles per hour. The video speed is doubled.
There's a restroom visible. I stayed here for a few days.
Before leaving, let's take a look around. Since the campground's speed limit is low, I increased the video speed.
As you descend the hill, you'll see campers scattered around. There are campground sections on both sides.
There are many trees, which might be an obstacle for campers using Starlink internet. The D section where I stayed had a great view of the sky, making it ideal for Starlink.
This is the lodge of the campground. It has a restaurant and facilities like TVs and pool tables.
A path leads down to the lakeshore.
Though not a large lake, it's sufficient for boating, fishing, swimming, and other water activities.
Now, let's head back. There's also a small market at the campground.
In narrow sections of some roads, there are separate lanes for bicycles and pedestrians.
The restrooms are old but clean.
Now, leaving the campground, we climb the hill. It's steep.
As we crest the hill, we see the entrance.
It's about an hour's drive from Sacramento, making it convenient, and there are many recreational and convenience facilities within the campground.
