I’ve got a bunch of those old insulators, you can put them in the oven then ice water, they crackle so nicely, then epoxy the tops (small parts) together, you can put a gold ring there,& I epoxy one of the open ends to a piece of marble, glass, wood, your choice, which makes the base & the other end (top) will hold a candle & a chimney (glass globe for kerosene lamp,of a special size , which makes beautiful candle holders
The one thing we miss about a land based home is gardening, so we make a small garden on board. From our aft deck garden, we eat a lot of kale salad and enjoy the spices in our meals, plus the sweet potato plant leaves are edible and look beautiful!

Wow, that sounds so cool!
This is a nice day. Need to experience entering Buzzards Bay with the hard southwest wind blowing against the tide.. Will get your attention.
It can be really wicked! I remember going through a huge standing wave many years ago that gave us quite the ride!
I grew up around the canal in the 50s good times. Not so any more.
It's a lot more crowded now, but still pretty!
What on earth are all those plants doing on the back deck?
