At the Auburn Mall in Auburn, MA there used to be a Regina. Best pizza five year old me ever tasted. Obviously I've got nostalgia goggles for it, but a nice crispy slice of pepperoni from Regina slaps any day of the week.

I only recently saw this review. It's 20 minutes from my house. I've been there 3 times in 14 days. They now call the round pizza the "7.9". It is freaking delicious. Even the tip with the flop has crisp. It is the best slive I've ever had. The whole pie is $34 and change after tax. Worth every cent. Sadly, you gotta try it there in the mall. It doesn't keep the same way on a 20 minute drive home. Stopped in for a slice with my son just 5 days ago. Still awesome.
That crunch at 8:15 is UNREAL and should be used for all sound effects lol

felt like he wanted to give it the 8.1, but kept going back to it to see if it was worth it, but it didnt have that pizaz dave wants to make it into the 8's.

I don't care if he uses any other round numbers, there are so many good pies in that 7.9-8.1 range, 8.0 has to be in the rating system, and he's definitely given a pizza an 8.0 before.

I was really hoping for an 8.1 for the owner. Pizza looked great, and he seems like a solid guy. If you’re in the Tucson area, support that man.
I just ate there for the 3rd time in 2 weeks. It is really, really good. $34 for the round cheese but worth it.
Its expensive as shit probably most expensive in the city because the swuare is 38 i think but its really good

Damn is going to be epic, this has to be one of the longest ones. It already starts off with him tearing the cameraman a new one. Owner seems like a good man, I hope this helps his business. Those pies looked great.

I don't know whats more impressive that type of score for a mall pizza or actually seeing people inside of a mall...
This was during Christmas. Of course the mall is gonna be busy during Christmas.

I feel like the big malls in big cities are still getting people to them. Its more of a destination typa thing
One of the best reviews ever, by far, because the drama & the psychology all at the forefront. The owner, new to the game - yet middle-aged - but clearly having his heart and soul in it, knowing this is likely make-or-break, swallows a bit of pride to butter up Dave, but frankly in an understandable way: signaled both respect & how important the score was to him.
But the real excitement: Dave repeatedly saying he didn't want to eat more, to reserve appetite for the Mex he was so excited about, but unable to resist taking bite after bite - a guy, mind you, who’s eaten thousands of slices of pizza, every day, from the best there is. That makes this a NINE in my book, whatever the “official” score.
The other drama being that weirdo jackass who kept distracting with his nonsense instagram comments, who just couldn't make himself, & his annoyingness, disappear. But this annoyance also contributed because of how Dave tried to block it out. There's always idiots like that in life, bumbling their way in at the critical moments.
A thoughtful analysis. Trim the fat a bit and this would be excellent prose

I think he would've gone w/ the 8.1 if it truly deserved it. He clearly liked the owner and enjoyed the pizza. Props to pres for keeping it real because 7.9 is still a damn good score.

Dave!! Just wanted to say that we are watching your reviews from the state penitentiary prison. We have a party when it's recreation time and gather all around to watch your videos as soon as we get notice that one has been released. You have diehard fans here! The combination of being in a mall food court, the instagram guy, and the repetitive cheese pulls kept that score artificially below 8.1.

7.9 is generous. On the east coast scale that is a 7.9 tops
Sicilian 7.6 is a real good score. Also good to know you can feed 30 people with an 8 slice pizza.

Dave was on a MISSION biting into that second pie, the entire time I could hear him thinking "I am going to love this pie, this man's life DEPENDS on it" haha, not saying the pie wasn't actually good, but you could see Dave was a MAN ON A MISSION with a responsibility up in here, actually good guy Dave, for real. Interesting how you can tell from someone's voice, eyes, body language, mannerisms, and word choice that they're authentic and genuine. I bet you anything that this guy had rehearsed in his head a million times what he'd say if Portnoy came to his shop, about grains, cheeses, 72 hour ferments, etc. You can tell he's got that fire inside him.

This dude nailed it. Both pizzas looked like really good NY/NJ original pizzas. No fancy crap. No brick ovens. No coal fired/wood fired...just really genuine pizza! And no chintzy, burnt, cracker crust bar pie! This is the real guinea shit when it's done right, not rushed...mangia!

Grande Mozzarella he uses is low in moisture a key to making that crust do its thing to the top without killing the sauce.

Hello from Vermont. The fact that a food court pizza made a score above 5 is amazing. Both of those pies were 8.2 in my book . To the owners if you read this, absolutely amazing looking pies keep it up . If the food Court doesn't pan out open somewhere else, don't give up ! Next time I am in Arizona I look you guys up . Damn so this pizza place review went completely under my radar. I grew up in Tucson, never seen this place before, so it must have been built sometime between 2015 and now because we didn't have a pizza place there. In fact there was an older pizza place there but it was further down and out the corner by the door to leave the mall. I'm glad Tucson has a good foodie scene now. Will I go back? Nah. But I'm happy for them and him on his success from David's official revenue generating review.

Im from Chicago, we have our own style over here. But if I ever find myself in the Tucson area, I’ll definitely try this place out! Owner is genuine and humble, & the pizza looks great!
So pumped that you’re out here in AZ doing reviews!! If you ever make it out here again there are 2 really good/cool spots in Southeast Arizona ( about an hour 1/2 from Tucson ). Best I’ve had in AZ! Screaming Banshee Pizza in Bisbee ( Bisbee’s epic little town, I’d be shocked if you guys didn’t like that place ) & Pizzeria Mimosa in Sierra Vista! Hopefully you could give those places a try someday; plus that part of the state is beautiful!… The Mexican food in Tucson is unbelievable though, hope you still had an appetite to try it out🤣
