I love it. It's not a sports car but in some ways more interesting and usable. It's similar to the Alfa van. I don't think there is an Alfa van in the US. Yea, here we go comparing Alfas to Fiats. Sorry, but I couldn't help it.
Sweet! currently restoring a 1968 ish (?) Fiat 217D (or 1100T) van which was the immediate predecessor model of this one, which was originally based on the Fiat 1100 sedan. Very interesting to see the differences. The 241 looks like a much more refined vehicle probably from being designed as a van from the ground up (and i think these are also FWD?) but the dash still has the same stark simplicity. Not driven mine yet but with a 6.17 ratio rear diff and a 4 speed column shift box, not expecting too much in the top end!
@@GarageTimeTV Oh they are pretty rare here (in NZ) too! Assembled as CKD kits numbering under 500, and as commercial vehicles most got a hard, short life. Never seen another IRL, but there are a couple hiding away.
We have several of these in the 🇬🇧, sold as the FIAT Amigo. I've only been aware of them since 2021 myself! They are super cool but with such a small engine and only four gears they are a bit limited as a long distance cruiser.
i knew Fiat made a van but I've never seen one. Thanks.
Awesome
very cool van!
I didn't know fiat made a van till I saw an Indiana Jones movie

How awesome! Definitely not something we see here in the states…. If we do it’s quite rare!

It's a shame it isn't possible to come along sometime. Maybe a kind of online meeting of subscribers some day would be nice!
That’s not a bad idea! Maybe we can come up with something for 1,000 subscriber celebration when we get there. Not too far!

Ya the distance is hard, but still super cool and fun the go out and about in.
The amigo is even smaller, based on the 900t
What is the powerplant in it? You should have moved the seat to take a look. You were looking for the words "steering column"
Super cool van. Remind me how well do the brakes work vs modern cars? jk
Quite a difference to say the least!!
I guessed it!
Yes you did! Quite the eye!
@@GarageTimeTV it was clearly a van, so it could only be the 238. Or the 600T. Or the 850T. Or the 900T, or some other I don't know about!
