Very helpful. Helping out my Dad on his Corolla the top 12mm bolt broke off in the alternator. Ughh. Drilled it out but hole off centered. I'll just buy new alternator if i cant install old one correctly. Old belt had over 100k and it looked like yours. Thank you for the help.

When i did my 2010 I used a Sharpie to mark the threads on the tensioner bolt and the alternator bolt in relation to each other and the bracket.

I didn’t think about it initially but the new belt is tighter than the old one and the bolt might not line up to the same spot

@@MTParadise my new belt was actually longer than the one being replaced but was good to have for a reference since I pulled the tensioner and all the upper bolts first 👍
