Great interview! The root cause of our problems lies in the false propaganda spread between communities. As mentioned, a political solution is crucial for our country's prosperity. Every citizen, regardless of their community, must feel equally entitled to all rights. It's imperative that Tamils feel they enjoy the same rights as Sinhalese citizens.
Regarding the interviewer's question about land ownership in Tamil areas, it's important to clarify that anyone, regardless of ethnicity, can legally purchase land. The concern lies with government-sponsored organized settlements that could disrupt the local demographic balance. Unlike misconceptions, Tamils can freely purchase land with their own resources and settle, just as Sinhalese can in any part of the country.

It would be great if you could take effort to bring a clear idea to the remote villagers in the south as why the LTTE took arms and why the war has started.
Tamils were denied equal rights by the politicians. Due to the ignorance of this reality only people in south were voting repeatedly to the power crazy politicians. That is why the existing unstability remains.
Tell your one sided story to innocent Tamil kids and their parents who were used as suicide bombers. And using civilians as shield. And thousands of civilians who lost their lives to these attacks. The war is over don't justify the LTTE'S ruthless attacks. If these wealthy people are willing to come and help develop their cities then more power to them. But the Army and intelligence service has to be in Jaffna to protect the port entries. There's no argument about this. This business man actually should be thankful for the army being there. Lots of Sinhalese entrepreneurs too are coming back and helping the community. It's better to do things on your own than depending on politicians irrelevant which race they are. Politicians world over its the same story. Better to be self sufficient as individuals. Enough with the war. People from both sides suffered enough.
